Military rations are the food served to military personnel.
Types of military rations include:

The Meal, Ready-to-Eat – commonly known as the MRE – is a self-contained, individual field ration in lightweight packaging bought by the United States military for its service members for use in combat or other field conditions where organized food facilities are not available. The MRE replaced the canned MCI, or Meal, Combat, Individual rations, in 1981, and is the intended successor to the lighter LRP ration developed by the United States Army for Special Forces and Ranger patrol units in Vietnam.
The first soldier ration established by a Congressional Resolution, during the Revolutionary War, consisted of enough food to feed a man for one day, mostly beef, peas, and rice. During the Civil War, the military moved toward canned goods. Later, self-contained kits were issued as a whole ration and contained canned meat, pork, bread, coffee, sugar and salt. During the First World War, canned meats were replaced with lightweight preserved meats (salted or dried) to save weight and allow more rations to be carried by soldiers carrying their supplies on foot. At the beginning of World War II, a number of new field rations were introduced, including the Mountain ration and the Jungle ration. However, cost-cutting measures by Quartermaster Command officials during the latter part of World War II and the Korean War again saw the predominance of heavy canned C rations issued to troops, regardless of operating environment or mission. The use of canned wet rations continued through the Vietnam War, with the improved MCI field ration.

Impossible Princess (retitled Kylie Minogue in the UK and Europe) is the sixth studio album by Australian recording artist Kylie Minogue, released on 22 October 1997. Because the A&R department of her label, Deconstruction Records, were not present throughout the majority of the album's production process, song writing and production were primarily handled by Minogue, in collaboration with producers Dave Ball, Ingo Vauk, Brothers in Rhythm, Manic Street Preachers and Rob Dougan.
Minogue started work on the album in October 1995 when she returned from her trips with French photographer and her then-boyfriend Stéphane Sednaoui. A release with a mixture of different musical genres and styles, the album features several songs employing themes of self-reflection, relationships and insecurities. The album cover was photographed by Sednaoui and the album title was derived from the book Poems to Break the Harts of Impossible Princesses (1994) by Billy Childish and from a lyric in the song "Dreams". The tracks "Some Kind of Bliss", "Did It Again", "Breathe" and "Cowboy Style" served as the album's official singles, while the other songs from the album served as promotional singles in Australia and New Zealand.

This time, we have 2 B-Unit cans from a very rare Post-Korean War-era Ration, Combat, Individual (RCI) up for review. We try out the crackers, jam, cocoa beverage, and most notably - eating half of a can of that 61 year old peanut butter - what has to be by far the oldest recorded peanut butter ever eaten! About 21 hours later right now, and I am just fine. Had indigestion, and slightly low energy today, but the energy part probably derived from a complete & utter lack of proper rest, as per usual whilst making these YT videos. It's more than worth it for your enjoyment These cans are...

Check out this review of the first U.S. 24 Hour MRE ever produced, the RCI (Ration, Combat, Individual). This video has a nice blend of fully edible food, strong aged cigarettes, and full hazmat-worthy examinations of the not so edible portions of the Ration as well. The RCI was first produced at the tail end of WW2 with around 11.4 million in it's first production run. And throughout The Korean War, 104 million were produced & running at $2.00 a piece - that was no cheap operation for the time. This RCI took a long time to find - I donated 2 to private and well respected collections, kept one for my own collection, opened this one, and one each to Oldsmokey and RC Gusto. Stay tuned for their eventual reviews as well. http://www.mremarketplace.com/ http://www.mreinfo.com/ https://www.pa...

This is a Russian Special Forces 24 Hour Mountain Ration - very rare & hard to acquire - check out this amazing Military Ration and see for yourself! Hope you all enjoy the review - I can truly say this was one of the best Military Rations I've ever had! (Check out my great friend, NNF MREInfo's review of a Russian Lightweight Recon Patrol Ration, The IRP-BS): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIo3lJx2X7c Hey folks, thanks so much for checking out this video and I hope you enjoyed it even half as much as I did eating/filming it. First off, the Pate' translated as "Pork Brain" on both pack's ingredients list on the back of the packs - my only regret was not showing that through my translator. My apologies for not being as thorough as I should have been. Second, there were 3 packs of "Cereal...

These MRE's were packed just 15 days ago - absolute freshest to ever hit the Civilian Market - Bob's MRE's are not only the freshest you can buy, but they are some of the best money can buy. Check out the review and see for yourself! Per 24 hr Ration: 2 entrees - all featured sides - 2 drink mixes - 2 acc packets - 1 stove w/ 3 fuel packets - 1 drinking water packet This is a review of a product that I purchased and is 100% not a paid commercial or anything related to that in any way. My good friend Bob invested his own money in developing a new style of MRE for the Govt & Civilian Market - I was the first person to purchase some - and Bob & I opened the first case together.. and 4 of the 7 menus are reviewed in this video - the menu variation is slight from MRE to MRE - but things like ...
Check out this full review of a Vietnam War MCI or "C Ration"! This is the food US soldiers ate when deployed in the Vietnam War. Simple, much like an MRE but the meals were in cans. They used to have cigarettes in Rations until 1972. This one here turned out to be in pretty bad shape except the cigarettes. An exciting introduction into German WW2 Rations. Scho-Ka-Kola & Atikah Turkish Tobacco Cigarettes. Two of the more popular and iconic components to the German Cold Ration - a non-shelf stable MRE that more or less resembled a shoebox/lunchbox. Filled with items like bread, sausage, butter/margarine, cigarettes, Scho-Ka-Kola, sardines, jam, honey, and really anything that could be allocated. The German War machine ran it's food supply with comparable diligence & organization as say their ammo, fuel, and first aid re-supply. Stay tuned - coming up soon is a 100 year old U.S. WW1 Ration, along with many other awesome new (and old) MRE's! http://www.mremarketplace.com/ http://www.mreinfo.com/ https://www.patreon.com/user?u=2821334&ty;=h And thank you everyone for watching & subscribing - ho...
