Heliopolis (Ancient Egypt)
Heliopolis (/ˌhiːliˈɒpəlɪs/;Greek: Ἡλιούπολις, Hēlioúpolis, "City of the Sun" or "City of Helios"; Egyptian: ỉwnw) was one of the oldest cities of ancient Egypt, the capital of the 13th or Heliopolite Nome of Lower Egypt. It is now found in the suburb of Ayn Shams (Arabic: عين شمس, lit. "Well of the Sun") at the north-east edge of Cairo.
The ancient Egyptian cult center Iunu, named "On" in the Hebrew bible, was renamed Heliopolis by the Greeks in recognition of the fact that the sun god Ra (Helios in Greek) presided there. Iunu is mentioned in the Pyramid Text as the "House of Ra".
Heliopolis has been occupied since the Predynastic Period, with extensive building campaigns during the Old and Middle Kingdoms. Today it is mostly destroyed; its temples and other buildings were used for the construction of medieval Cairo. Most information about the ancient city comes from textual sources.
The only surviving remnant of Heliopolis is the Temple of Re-Atum obelisk located in Al-Masalla in Al-Matariyyah, Cairo. It was erected by Senusret I of the Twelfth dynasty, and still stands in its original position. The 68 ft (20.73 m) high red granite obelisk weighs 120 tons (240,000 lbs).

Munawwar Rana
Munawwar Rana (Urdu: منور رانا, Hi: मुनव्वर राना) (born 26 November 1952) is a modern Hindi and Urdu poet.He was born in the sleepy town of Rae Bareli in Uttar Pradesh in 1952. Most of his close relatives, including his aunts and grandmother, had moved across the border to Pakistan during the upheavals of the Partition. But his father, out of love for India, preferred to remain here, despite the prevailing communal frenzy. His family later moved to Kolkata where the young Munawwar had his schooling. The notable feature of his poetry is that he used the genre of Ghazal to eulogize Mother, which is unique, as Ghazal was considered a poetic form in which lovers' conversed with each other. Apart from his poetry collection, Rana has also penned a memoir. Rana's poetry has also been published in Hindi, Urdu, Bengali and Gurumukhi. Rana is known to be a sensitive poet who uses Hindi and Awadhi words in the couplets. He avoids using flowery language and shuns chaste Urdu in his couplets, which is a reason that he is successful in poetic meets in non-Urdu areas also.

Plot: Shalini Saxena lives a wealthy life-style with her brother Rajesh. There also are a number of more modern suburbs including Ma'adi and Heliopolis, while Zamalek is a quiet area on Gezira Island, with upmarket shopping. Cairo is best in the fall or spring, when the weather isn't so hot. A felucca ride on the Nile is a good way to escape from the busy city, as is a visit to Al-Azhar Park.
Since the revolution in 2011 and the ongoing counter-revolution, tourists have fled Cairo to a large extent. This has created an opportunity for unique experiences of Cairo's and Egypt's cultural treasures without the crowds. Finding yourself alone inside a pyramid is now a real possibility. Prices are also lower.

Thebes was also known as "the city of the 100 gates", sometimes being called "southern Heliopolis" ('Iunu-shemaa' in Ancient Egyptian), to distinguish it from the city of Iunu or Heliopolis, the main place of worship for the god Re in the north. It was also often referred to as niw.t, which simply means "city", and was one of only three cities in Egypt for which this noun was used (the other two were Memphis and Heliopolis); it was also called niw.t rst, "southern city", as the southernmost of them.
The importance of the city started as early as the 11th Dynasty, when the town grew into a thriving city, renowned for its high social status and luxury, but also as a center for wisdom, art, religious and political supremacy. Montuhotep II who united Egypt after the troubles of the first intermediate period brought stability to the lands as the city grew in stature. The Pharaohs of the New Kingdom in their expeditions to Kush, in today's northern Sudan, and to the lands of Canaan, Phoenicia and Syria saw the city accumulate great wealth and rose to prominence, even on a world scale. Thebes played a major role in expelling the invading forces of the Hyksos from Upper Egypt, and from the time of the 18th Dynasty through to the 20th Dynasty, the city had risen as the major political, religious and military capital of Ancient Egypt.
The city attracted peoples such as the Babylonians, the Mitanni, the Hittites of Anatolia (modern-day Turkey), the Canaanites of Ugarit, the Phoenicians of Byblos and Tyre, the Minoans from the island of Crete. A Hittite prince from Anatolia even came to marry with the widow of Tutankhamun, Ankhesenamun. The political and military importance of the city, however, faded during the Late Period, with Thebes being replaced as political capital by several cities in Northern Egypt, such as Bubastis, Sais and finally Alexandria.
However, as the city of the god Amon-Ra, Thebes remained the religious capital of Egypt until the Greek period. The main god of the city was Amon, who was worshipped together with his wife, the Goddess Mut, and their son Khonsu, the God of the moon. With the rise of Thebes as the foremost city of Egypt, the local god Amon rose in importance as well and became linked to the sun god Ra, thus creating the new 'king of gods' Amon-Ra. His great temple, at Karnak just north of Thebes, was the most important temple of Egypt right until the end of antiquity.
Later, the city was attacked by Assyrian emperor Assurbanipal who installed the Libyan prince on the throne, Psammetichus. The city of Thebes was in ruins and fell in significance. However, Alexander the Great did arrive at the temple of Amun, where the statue of the god was transferred from Karnak during the Opet Festival, the great religious feast. The grandeur of Thebes would still remain a site of spirituality, and attracted numerous Christian monks in the Roman Empire who established monasteries amidst several ancient monuments including the temple of Hatshepsut, now called Deir el-Bahri ("the northern monastery").

His great temple, at Karnak just north of Thebes, was the most important temple of Egypt right until the end of antiquity.
Later, the city was attacked by Assyrian emperor Assurbanipal who installed the Libyan prince on the throne, Psammetichus. The city of Thebes was in ruins and fell in significance. However, Alexander the Great did arrive at the temple of Amun, where the statue of the god was transferred from Karnak during the Opet Festival, the great religious feast. The grandeur of Thebes would still remain a site of spirituality, and attracted numerous Christian monks in the Roman Empire who established monasteries amidst several ancient monuments including the temple of Hatshepsut, now called Deir el-Bahri ("the northern monastery").

Located some 30 km (19 mi) south of modern-day Cairo, Saqqara covers an area of around 7 by 1.5 km (4.35 by 0.93 mi).
At Saqqara, the oldest complete stone building complex known in history was built: Djoser's step pyramid, built during the Third Dynasty. Another 16 Egyptian kings built pyramids at Saqqara, which are now in various states of preservation or dilapidation. High officials added private funeral monuments to this necropolis during the entire pharaonic period. It remained an important complex for non-royal burials and cult ceremonies for more than 3,000 years, well into Ptolemaic and Roman times.
North of the area known as Saqqara lies Abusir; south lies Dahshur. In this report I will show the coded elements that justified my study of other material, which provided me, after some observation, with new material to show and discuss.
The material discussed while centralized to the Central Park location, will include discussion regarding how the NY Obelisk and other obelisks located in London, Paris and Luxor Egypt, relate to each other.
Lastly, in part 2, a discussion regarding all new findings will be discussed as it relates to the existing material regarding 911, Washington Square and the Arch of Titus, Central Park Times Square and the Empire State Bldg. The Dark Pathways discussion will be revisited.

most superior god is RA.. the sun god is the ruler of all the gods. creator of everything...Atum, Ra, Horakhty, and Khepri made up the different aspects of the sun. all aspects of sun god RA has more or less the same storyline.The Egyptians built solar temples in honor of Ra. Unlike the standard type of Egyptian temple, these temples were open to the sunlight and did not feature a statue of the god because he was represented by the sunlight itself and Heliopolis or city of the sun is described as the temple of all aspects of RA in different stories.
Ra was the main sun god. He was the most important god of the ancient Egypt. As sun god, Ra rode across the sky in a golden ship called Mandjet and bringing light and warmth to all creatures living on earth... When the sun set in the evening, he descended to the underworld as atum and brought light and air to the people who dwelled there.According to myths, Ra first ruled during a golden age. Everything he saw was perfect, and the sight of such wonders brought tears to his eyes. The tears fell to earth and grew into human beings... Re had several aspects: Khepri, the morning; Horakhty, the midday; and Atum, the afternoon.
khepri- Khepri was a solar deity and represent the morning sun..he was connected with the scarab beetle,that making him one of the most famous insect gods. The Scarab of Khepri is a magic item in the shape of a small golden statuette of Khepri..Khepri also represented creation and rebirth,.One myth suggested that Every night, Khepri would push the sun down into the underworld, and every morning the sun would again emerge and travel across the sky.
Horakhty - means "Horus of the two horizons" .He was depicted as a falcon-headed man wearing the solar disk and sometimes wear a giant cobra..he was also depicted as a falcon-headed crocodile...Horus represented the daytime sky.
and finally another important form of RA was Atum- Atum was the setting sun which traveled through the underworld every night in his boat called Mesektet to its rising in the east. as well as his solar aspect, he is also often presented with the head of a ram. He was considered to be the father of the Pharaohs.Atum emerged from the primeval ocean of chaos called Nun at the beginning of time.He was represented by the black bull Mnewer, who bore the sun disk and uraeus between its horns. The snake, bull, lion, lizard and ichneumon (Egyptian mongoose) are his sacred animals.
other than that, some more speculation arises in many parts of Egypt about sun god.. like baby sun god called Nefertum - he represented the first sunlight or the newborn sun..in some Egyptian mythology, he arisen from the primal waters within an Egyptian blue water-lily. When he matures, he became Ra.
Khnum - Khnum is also considered as an aspect of Ra..He is the god of rebirth, creation, and the evening sun..he was shown with four ram heads, aligning him with the sun god Ra, the air god Shu, the earth god Geb and Osiris, lord of the dead. In his four-headed form, he was known as Sheft-hat.

New Delhi. A woman, seemingly in her early 20s, was found murdered in a park adjacent to Siri Fort Auditorium on Thursday. The body wasn't identified at the time of filing of this report as the face had been completely crushed with rocks and burnt.
