Just one day after celebrating the triumphant variety of cinema present in the 2016 Golden Raspberry Awards nominees, the international film community has united once more to both agree and disagree about this year's Academy Awards contenders. From the characteristically profound vibes of Pixar's Inside Out to Charlize Theron's powerhouse performance in Mad Max: Fury Road all the way to the brash minimalism of Steve Jobs, this year's creative achievements once again raised the bar for future filmmakers.
However, two sleep-preventing questions have plagued those placing bets in the months leading up to the Academy Awards nominations: Will Straight Outta Compton be rightfully recognized as one of the best films of the year? Will Leonardo DiCaprio, casual great white shark negotiator, flip his inevitable nomination for The Revenant into the win that has somehow managed to escape him throughout his career?
Peep the full list of nominees below, updated as announced, and be sure to catch Chris Rock presumably mock all of them on ABC on Feb. 28.

Thiên thần nội y sexy ♥ Alessandra Ambrossıo Hot $exy ♛ Alessandra Corine Ambrósio (Portuguese pronunciation: [aleˈsɐ̃dɾɐ ɐ̃ˈbɾɔzju]; born April 11, 1981) is a Brazilian model and actress. Ambrósio is known for her work with Victoria's Secret and was chosen as the first spokesmodel for the company's "PINK" line. Ambrósio is currently one of the Victoria's Secret Angels and has modeled for brands such as Next, Armani Exchange, Christian Dior, and Ralph Lauren.
Ambrósio serves as an ambassador for the National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In 2012, she was ranked number six on Forbes' list of the highest-paid models, estimated to have earned $6.6 million in one year. She is often cited by the popular media as one of the world's sexiest women. As an Angel, she was chosen as one of People magazine's annual "100 Most Beautiful People in the World" in May 2007.
Early life
Ambrósio was born in Erechim, Brazil on April 11, 1981. Her parents are Brazilians of Italian and Polish ancestry and own a petrol station. She enrolled at a modelling class at the age of 12, and at the age of 14, she was one of 20 finalists for the 1996 Elite Model Look national competition for Brazil. Ambrósio was always insecure about her large ears, and at the age of 11, she had cosmetic surgery to have her ears pinned back, though two years later she suffered complications. In 2006, she appeared on The Tyra Banks Show, and said that the surgery was a bad experience and has discouraged her from ever getting plastic surgery again.
Career
Modeling
When Ambrósio was 12 years old, she started modeling classes, and then began modeling for Dilson Stein at age 15. Competing in Brazil's Elite Model Look competition started her modeling career in earnest. Her first notable modeling job was the cover of Brazilian Elle magazine. Elite passed along some of her Polaroids to Guess which led her booking the Millennium GUESS? campaign. She has since appeared in advertisements for brands like Revlon, Christian Dior, Giorgio Armani, and Ralph Lauren, as well as the Pirelli Calendar. She has walked the catwalks for designers such as Prada, Chanel, and Oscar de la Renta. She has appeared in numerous international magazine covers, including Cosmopolitan, Elle, GQ, Harper's Bazaar, Marie Claire, Ocean Drive, Vogue and the only model to appear on the cover of Glamour in the United States in 2006.
In 2004, Ambrósio launched her line of swimwear called Alessandra Ambrosio by Sais, a division of Rosa Chá. It sold 10,000 units in only its first month on the market. Ambrósio was the face for the UK company Next and starred in their first television campaign in 12 years. On the July 2009 cover of Marie Claire, Ambrósio appeared in a spread with Sacha Baron Cohen to promote Baron Cohen's 2009 film Brüno.
Ambrósio, became the face of Brazilian sportswear brand Colcci costarring with Ashton Kutcher in a steamy denim ad. She was ranked No. 5 on Forbes' The World's Top-Earning Models list, with an estimated earnings of $5 million over the year 2010–2011. In October 2011, Ambrósio became Vogue's blogger, commenting on her wardrobe by posting one photo of herself each day for a month. On August 13, 2012 she appeared in the London 2012 Olympic Closing Ceremony as part of Rio de Janeiro's Handover show.
In Spring 2014, Ambrósio launched her own fashion and life style brand named Ále by Alessandra in a collaboration with US retailer Cherokee. The line features casual wear to formal attire and is aimed at females between 18 and 35 years old. The apparel line was first shown by Southern California-based retailer Planet Blue. For this brand, Ambrósio used her intellectual property company, Silver Sunrise LLC, which works with The Cherokee Group as its global licensing agent.

Coming in at #1 is the Leonardo DiCaprio film THE REVENANT, climbing up from the #2 position last week making $16 million dollars. Coming in at #2 is STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS with $14.25 million, up one spot from its #3 finish last week. In 3rd position is last week’s #1 film RIDE ALONG 2 making an additional $12.9 million. In 4th is the new Zac Efron/Robert De Niro film DIRTY GRANDPA making $11.5 million, and rounding out the top 5 is the new horror film THE BOY making $11.26 million on just a $10 million dollar budget.
Last night the Producers Guild Of America held its annual awards ceremony in Los Angeles and surprised many people by naming THE BIG SHORT as their outstanding produced feature film of the year. The award was accepted by the film’s producers Brad Pitt, Dede Gardner and Jeremy Kleiner. The PGA Awards is considered by many industry experts to be a major indicator as to what could win the Oscar.

Well speaking of the Oscars, the Academy has just announced sweeping changes in its membership process with the goal of doubling both its female and minority membership within the next 4 years. The announcement was released by the Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, herself an African-American woman, which said the following: “Beginning later this year, each new member’s voting status will last 10 years, and will be renewed if that new member has been active in motion pictures during that decade. In addition, members will receive lifetime voting rights after three ten-year terms; or if they have won or been nominated for an Academy Award. We will apply these same standards retroactively to current members. In other words, if a current member has not been active in the last 10 years they can still qualify by meeting the other criteria. Those who do not qualify for active status will be moved to emeritus status. Emeritus members do not pay dues but enjoy all the privileges of membership, except voting. This will not affect voting for this year’s Oscars.
At the same time, the Academy will supplement the traditional process in which current members sponsor new members by launching an ambitious, global campaign to identify and recruit qualified new members who represent greater diversity.
In order to immediately increase diversity on the Board of Governors, the Academy will establish three new governor seats that will be nominated by the President for three-year terms and confirmed by the Board.”
During the NFL playoffs yesterday Warner Bros released new TV spots for the upcoming BATMAN V SUPERMAN, one of which gave us a fuller version of Bruce Wayne’s conversation with Alfred regarding Superman bringing the war to us.
On the heels of the sad passing of David Bowie, The Hollywood Reporter has revealed that Tri-Star Pictures has had a Labyrinth reboot in the works for a while. According to the report Guardians of the Galaxy co-writer Nicole Perlman has been brought aboard to supply the screenplay. There is no definitive information if the new project would be a true reboot or some form of sequel.
MAIL BAG
Hussain J.Shishtari writes: Big fan of the show and the entire crew, my question is: Why do tv directors get overshadowed by the show's writers? And the opposite happens in movies, where writers don't get that recognition that film directors get.
Alex Gabel writes: Since Game of Thrones will eventually come to an end, a lot has been said about ending the series with one or more feature length films. Do you like this idea? And if this were to be the case, how well do you think it will perform at the box office given its worldwide success on the small screen?
Jason Martinez writes: Hi everyone my name is Jason! Started watching the show 4 months ago, thanks to running into to a random Jedi Council episode on Youtube. But I'm emailing you today to talk about Doctor Strange and the great potential it has. To me they have a phenomenal cast for the film so far from the cast we know of. But just seems like Marvel didn't get the right director or group of writers for this film. Most have all worked on the same movies that weren't all that good so I was just wondering how y'all felt about this.

wn.com/Collider Movie Talk New Batman V Superman Spots, Academy Awards Changes
On this installment of Collider Movie Talk (Monday January 25th 2016) we discuss the following issues:
It’s Monday which means it’s time for our weekend Box Office report brought to you by our friends at AMC Theatres.
BUY OR SELL
Well speaking of the Oscars, the Academy has just announced sweeping changes in its membership process with the goal of doubling both its female and minority membership within the next 4 years. The announcement was released by the Academy President Cheryl Boone Isaacs, herself an African-American woman, which said the following: “Beginning later this year, each new member’s voting status will last 10 years, and will be renewed if that new member has been active in motion pictures during that decade. In addition, members will receive lifetime voting rights after three ten-year terms; or if they have won or been nominated for an Academy Award.
