NL/ENG: Mais hakselen en extreem modderen in Voorthuizen door Agriservice BMWW uit Nijkerkerveen! Het hakselen wordt gedaan met een Claas Jaguar 940 en verder zien we veel Fendt trekkers. De mais moest eraf en veel trekkers kwamen vast te zitten in de modder.
Extreme mud during the maize harvest near Voorthuizen by contractor Agriservice BMWW from Nijkerkerveen, The Netherlands. Chopping the corn is done by a Claas Jaguar 940 and a lot of Fendt tractors. The maize must of and many tractors get stuck in the dirt.

This video contains the cultivation practices followed in the maize crop from the land preparation to harvesting methods. These includes the briefly description about the various vegetative and reproductive stages in the crop, also including the fertilizer application, irrigation practice and other agronomic practices. It shows the sowing of the crop in the traditional way, while the hulling process, separation of seeds from the cob, using the tractor drawn huller.
The farmers, researchers and students can use this video to have a brief outline of the cultivation practices followed in maize crop.

Short relaxing sunday morning video ;-)
Tijdens een rondje door de Antwerpse Kempen zag ik bij toeval Loonbedrijf Marla uit Rijkevorsel (B) bezig mais in ronde balen te persen met een Orkel MP2000 Compactor pers/wikkel combinatie. Niet het spannendste om te filmen maar toch intersant om te zien, vandaar dit korte filmpje.
Orkel’s agricultural compactors transform bulk material such as maize and grass into easy-to-handle round bales, using nothing but plastic wrap. Some materials can be reduced in volume by up to three times thus producing a compact and consistent unit package.
This in turn leads to several major advantages;
• improved internal logistics,
• clean and simplified storage,
• long distance transport made easy,
A waterproof plastic wrap is applied to keep the bale sealed and intact, preventing spillage and damage caused by moisture
The round bales have a fixed width of 85 cm. and the diameter can vary from 85 till 90 cm. This size of bale is very suitable for horse owners or small farmers The bale weight f.i. in maize will vary from 350 till 500 kg. depending on the dry matter

Maize (
/ˈmeɪz/ MAYZ; Zea mays L, from Spanish: maíz after Taíno mahiz) known in many English-speaking countries as corn or mielie/mealie, is a grain domesticated by indigenous peoples in Mesoamerica in prehistoric times. The leafy stalk produces ears which contain seeds called kernels. Though technically a grain, maize kernels are used in cooking as a vegetable or starch. The Olmec and Mayans cultivated it in numerous varieties throughout central and southern Mexico, cooked, ground or processed through nixtamalization. Between 1700 and 1250 BCE, the crop spread through much of the Americas. The region developed a trade network based on surplus and varieties of maize crops. After European contact with the Americas in the late 15th and early 16th centuries, explorers and traders carried maize back to Europe and introduced it to other countries. Maize spread to the rest of the world due to its ability to grow in diverse climates. Sugar-rich varieties called sweet corn are usually grown for human consumption, while field corn varieties are used for animal feed and as chemical feedstocks.

The AGRONIC MultiBaler MR820 is a small balerwrapper combination with high capacity for making round bales. This is the ideal way of compacting different sort of materials like maize, sugar beetpulp, chopped grass and straw and other organic fibre products. The round bales have a fixed width of 85 cm. and the diameter can vary from 85 till 90 cm. This size of bale is very suitable for horse owners or small farmers. The bale weight f.i. in maize will vary from 350 till 500 kg. depending on the dry matter. Bales of maize or any other product are an easy commodity to handle and transport. No investments in expensive silos. Easier feeding in the summer periods. -

ENG: Time for an old fashioned maize mud battle! They are pretty good in such things in the Belgian 'Meetjesland' area. Contractor De Bruyne from Assenede however, does it very professional. The forage harvester, a Krone Big X 850 with 12 row header, is factory fitted with Zuidberg tracks. All silage trailers are kitted out with mechanically driven axles that work wonders in such conditions. However, an extra tractor was sometimes needed to help the tractors a hand. This task was given to a powerful Valtra 8950 Intercooler. De Bruyne was using a colourful team: A New Holland T7,270, Fendt 930 Vario, Massey Ferguson 8680 Dyna-VT and (not on film) a John Deere 7430. The AGRONIC MultiBaler MR820 is a small balerwrapper combination with high capacity for making round bales. This is the ideal way of compacting different sort of materials like maize, sugar beetpulp, chopped grass and straw and other organic fibre products.
The round bales have a fixed width of 85 cm. and the diameter can vary from 85 till 90 cm. This size of bale is very suitable for horse owners or small farmers.
The bale weight f.i. in maize will vary from 350 till 500 kg. depending on the dry matter.
Bales of maize or any other product are an easy commodity to handle and transport.
No investments in expensive silos. Easier feeding in the summer periods.

The forage harvester, a Krone Big X 850 with 12 row header, is factory fitted with Zuidberg tracks. All silage trailers are kitted out with mechanically driven axles that work wonders in such conditions. However, an extra tractor was sometimes needed to help the tractors a hand. This task was given to a powerful Valtra 8950 Intercooler. De Bruyne was using a colourful team: A New Holland T7,270, Fendt 930 Vario, Massey Ferguson 8680 Dyna-VT and (not on film) a John Deere 7430.

Maishäckseln mit Fendt Traktoren - Neben den ersten 900er Vario Modellen von Fendt fuhren auch neuere 930er und 700er Traktoren
den Mais vom Feld zum Silagehaufen. Der Mais wurde mit einem Claas Jaguar 980 mit 12-reihigem Maisgebiss gehäckselt.

This is a UK style map from an undisclosed location. Bigman released this map for FS 11 and I have converted it and done some changes and additions to the map.
The map has 2 farms. To Kellee, The 5th Element represents Love - which she feels in its unconditional form could help humanity to evolve and shift consciousness from the "love of power to the power of love" as Jimi Hendrix stated. Kellee Maize's music has always explored love in some way throughout all of her albums. The 5th element in many traditions refers to other things that relate to the album's content from wood (which you will see a strong environmental thread through the content), steel (she is from pittsburgh), and the spirit (much spirituality is intertwined in her music).
Each song, mentions love in some way shape or form. Love isn't always rainbows and smiles but the ability to accept, forgive, take action and move forward in a just and positive direction. You will find themes that include love of self, the earth, enemies, the moment, and for our families and personal relationships.
The album design features over 1,000+ fans that sent pictures of themselves displaying Love in whatever way they saw fit.
This album is different from her other releases in that it is slower in some ways both in the instrumentals and her rapping style. Kellee collaborates on the instrumentals again with friend and fellow Pittsburgher Nice Nate, Polish producer Golden Day, Pittsburgh DJ and producer Headphone Activist and New York based producer J. Glaze who mixed and mastered the album and produced the beats for the opening 2 tracks.

Many concerns were expressed in this regard; therefore the Institute of Entomology of the Czech Academy of Sciences launched many-years research of invertebrates in the field of Bt maize and standard maize. During the research the producer FATE with support of BIOTRIN documented the findings. Educational movie made in frame of european project MOBITAG (GA 229518).
Main theme of the movie is the life in standard maize field and in genetically modified maize field and possible differences.
