Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft Gathering 2014

I was at the Trolleybus Museum at Sandtoft as they held their 43rd Annual Gathering event. The Gathering is the biggest day in the Trolleybus museum's calendar and was held on Sunday 27th July with the preview on the Saturday. This was the first time I had managed to be there for both days of The Gathering and it was all that I had expected, and more. There was tours of The Isle of Axholme, and a bus service to Doncaster Bus Station. A large number of Buses and cars were on display on the Sunday. With Trolleybus rides, a jazz band playing, and Real Ale beer tent and beautiful weather it was just great be there and soak up the atmosphere.  There was also the opportunity to look about the Depot at the vehicles in various stages of restoration.  On the Sunday this area was shared with transport related stalls. The volunteers at The Trolleybus Museum are only too pleased to talk to you about the vehicles or any questions you might have.  I could go on for ages telling you what I think of the Museum but if you can manage it go along and experienced it for yourself.    Many thanks to everyone involved for an excellent event.
