I simply adore children. I was lucky enough to work for some amazing families in Australia and build a strong relationship with them – We still keep in contact even though I have been living on the other side of the world! Working as a nanny is different to your every day job as you become very involved with your employer and hopefully they consider you family. I enjoy spending time with children, I don’t think of it as work as both the children and I are gaining from this experience. I find it a highly rewarding career as you help children develop and mature with your assistance. One little boy, whom I cared for in Australia, was diagnosed with autism after a few months of me being there. I was able to get to know him on a personal level and learnt how to be extra patient and appreciate his uniqueness and intelligence.
In Jan 2015, I moved to London as a nanny to see the world and continue doing the work I love and broaden my knowledge. There I worked full-time 8am - 7pm monday to friday caring for three little children, twins aged 18 months and a little 3 and a half year old girl. After 12 months of what I would call an incredible experience, I have returned to Australia to continue part time nanny work as I commence university in 2016.
