Editor: Chilton Williamson, Jr.
Chilton Williamson, Jr. is the editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture. He was Chronicles' senior editor for books from 1989 to June 2015. Before joining Chronicles, he worked as history editor at Saint Martin's Press, after which he became literary and then senior editor at National Review (1976-1989). He holds a B.A. in European history from Columbia College with four years of graduate work in American History from Columbia University. He is the author of After Tocqueville: The Promise and Failure of Democracy, The Education of Héctor Villa, Mexico Way, The Conservative Bookshelf, The Hundredth Meridian, The Immigration Mystique: America's False Conscience, Saltbound: A Block Island Winter, Roughnecking It, Desert Light, and The Homestead. He has been published in, among others, the Arizona Republic, National Review, Harper's, and The New Republic. He and his wife, Maureen, live in Wyoming.
Executive Editor: Scott P. Richert
Scott P. Richert is the executive editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture. He joined the Institute in 1996 after completing his doctoral coursework at the Catholic University of America in Washington, D.C., where he interned at Accuracy in Media and the National Humanities Institute. Scott holds an M.A. in political theory from the Catholic University of America. He has been published in, among others, The Family in America, This World, Culture Wars, and Humanitas. He is the Guide to Catholicism at About.com, and serves as president of the board of directors of The Pregnancy Care Center of Rockford. He and his wife, Amy, have eight children.
Managing Editor: Aaron D. Wolf
Aaron D. Wolf is the managing editor of Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture. He joined the Institute in 1999. He holds an M.A. in Christian thought and church history from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois, where he was mentored by Chronicles' late religion editor Harold O.J. Brown, and a B.A. in philosophy from Rockford College. His writings have appeared in numerous magazines, books, and newspapers. He is a regular guest on Issues, Etc., and has appeared on many radio programs, including The Tom Clark Show (Wisconsin Public Radio) and Extension 720 With Milt Rosenberg (WGN), and on television programs, including an episode of Errata do biograffi on Poland's TVP1 dedicated to Chronicles' founding editor, Leopold Tyrmand. He serves on the board of directors of The Haven Network Perinatal Hospice and Bereavement Center, the board of directors of The Lutheran Church—Missouri Synod's Northern Illinois District, and the advisory network of The Hausvater Project. He and his wife, Lorrie, have six children.
Foreign-Affairs Editor: Srdja Trifkovic
Srdja Trifkovic is foreign-affairs editor for Chronicles: A Magazine of American Culture. He is the author of several books, including The Sword of the Prophet: Islam—History, Theology, Impact on the World and Defeating Jihad: How the War on Terror May Yet Be Won, in Spite of Ourselves. A regular guest on RT TV, Dr. Trifkovic is the first tenured professor of geopolitics in southeastern Europe.
