PHILADELPHIA (AP) This was a game even the Warriors felt they should have lost.
Harrison Barnes hit a 3-pointer with 0.2 seconds remaining and Golden State escaped with a 108-105 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Saturday.
Klay Thompson had 32 points and Stephen Curry scored 23 for the Warriors, who nearly blew a 24-point second-half lead. Draymond Green added 10 points and 13 rebounds for Golden State, which opened a three-game road trip with its sixth straight victory while matching the NBA's best start through 47 games.
It ties the 1966-67 76ers, who also won 43 of their first 47.
"If the gods delivered what should have happened, we probably should have lost because that's what happens when you mess around with the game and the ball," Warriors coach Steve Kerr said.
Isaiah Canaan had 18 points to lead the 76ers, who dropped to 7-41 but nearly pulled off the most improbable victory of the NBA season.
"It shows we have no letdown, no backdown," Philadelphia coach Brett Brown said.
Philadelphia trailed by double-digits most of the second half until a late 15-2 run tied the game at 105 with 22.3 seconds left. The Warriors won it when Curry passed inside to Green, who fired outside to Barnes on the right baseline.
"We kind of went into it knowing they were going to trap Steph, so whoever it was that got the ball tried to make a play," Barnes said. "(Green) made that kick to the corner. I just let it ride."
Brown said the 76ers weren't going to let Curry get off a shot.
"Anybody but the MVP," he said.
Ish Smith scored 18 points and Jahlil Okafor, who returned after missing two straight games due to illness, had 13.
The Warriors tied a franchise record with 26 assists in a dominating first half when they went up 73-54. They seemed on cruise control until Philadelphia's stunning rally.
Nerlens Noel made an alley-oop dunk and Smith 16-footer followed and, suddenly, the 76ers were within 103-99 with 1:01 left.
Following a timeout, Canaan converted a four-point play after hitting a 3 and being fouled by Curry to make it 105-103 with 38.6 remaining. Smith then stripped Curry and finished with a dunk to tie it. After Barnes' shot, Philadelphia was unable to get a final shot off after inbounding the ball at halfcourt.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) The Hawks prepared for lowly Philadelphia just like any other team. As a result of that focus, Atlanta routed the 76ers once again.
Tim Hardaway Jr. and Mike Scott led a balanced attack with 13 points apiece and the Hawks coasted to a 124-86 victory on Wednesday night.
All 13 players scored and eight finished in double figures for Atlanta, which swept the three-game season series with an average winning margin of 29 points.
"Even though their record doesn't show it, they're a dangerous team," said Al Horford, who had seven points, six rebounds and four assists. "They're a team that plays hard. You can't take them lightly and I felt like every time we've played against them, we're ready to go."
The Hawks have won two straight after snapping their three-game losing streak with Monday's 112-97 home victory over Dallas.
"On both ends of the court, all up and down the roster, a lot of guys played well," Atlanta coach Mike Budenholzer said.
Nik Stauskas had 17 points for the 76ers, who dropped to 7-42 with their second-worst loss of the season.
"We don't have much answers for them," 76ers coach Brett Brown said. "I just feel like we didn't come out with much energy on both sides of the ball. . It sure feels like this one is not (a good matchup) and the numbers bear that out."
Philadelphia suffered a 51-point blowout, 119-68, at home against San Antonio on Dec. 7. The 76ers have lost 12 games by 20 or more points this season.
The Hawks grabbed a 20-point lead, 66-46, early in the third quarter when Jeff Teague drained a wide-open 3-pointer. Philadelphia answered with 10 of the next 12 to close within 68-56 on Jahlil Okafor's drive with 6:38 remaining in the period. But Atlanta outscored Philadelphia 20-6 the rest of the quarter to take a commanding 88-62 lead into the fourth.
Dennis Schroder scored the Hawks' final points of the quarter on a free throw after being fouled by T.J. McConnell with 1.9 seconds left.
An exacerbated Sixers fan seated in the first level screamed at the referee: "We have seven wins. Cut us a break!"
Atlanta led by as many as 43 points in the fourth.

WASHINGTON (AP) Wizards coach Randy Wittman loved John Wall's defensive rebounding. Philadelphia coach Brett Brown compared Wall to a Maserati.
It was that kind of night for Washington's star point guard.
Wall had 18 points, a career-high 13 rebounds and 10 assists for his fourth career triple-double, and the Wizards beat the 76ers 106-94 on Friday.
"I had a lot of chances to get a lot of them, but I missed them by like one rebound or one assist," said Wall, who was coming off a 41-point performance in a loss to Golden State on Wednesday. "It was more important to get a win, get on the right track."
Marcin Gortat had 21 points and 13 rebounds for Washington, who had lost five of six. Bradley Beal scored 22 in his first start since Dec. 9.
Wall also had two steals in 33 minutes. Coach Randy Wittman said triple-doubles don't necessarily matter to him.
"If we win, it does," Wittman joked.
He wanted to emphasize the importance of Wall rebounding on defense. All 13 of Wall's rebounds came on the defensive boards.
"The 13 rebounds I really like just from a standpoint of getting back in there and helping. We end up winning the rebounding game tonight because of that," Wittman said.
Ish Smith, cut by Washington during training camp, led Philadelphia with 22 points. Smith, playing for his ninth NBA team in just six seasons, scored 14 points in the third quarter.
The Wizards raced to a 38-18 lead thanks to their highest scoring first quarter of the season.
By midway through the third, they led 76-51. The 76ers cut the lead to 92-83 with 6:12 to play, but made no further headway.
"We have to come out and be competitive and know these teams are going to try and swing at us early, try to knock us out," Smith said. "With the exception of that first quarter, we were unbelievable. Our second, third and fourth quarters were pretty freaking good. I think we just got thrown off with how much of a rush they came out with."
Philadelphia has lost four in a row and five of six to drop to 7-43 this season.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Kobe Bryant breezed through the Philadelphia 76ers locker room and said to no one in particular, "keep it going, guys."
His homecoming game spoiled, Bryant said one final goodbye to Philly, which is winless no more.
The 76ers said good riddance to the longest losing streak in major U.S. professional sports - winless in 28 games dating to last season. And 0 for 18 to begin this one.
No more.
With the spotlight on Bryant during the final game of his career in his hometown, the Sixers stole the show and defeated the Los Angeles Lakers 103-91 on Tuesday night for their first victory of the season.
The Sixers remain tied for the worst start in NBA history with the 2009-10 New Jersey Nets, who also opened 0-18.
It was the first win for the Sixers since March 25 at Denver.
"Finally," forward Nerlens Noel said.
Coach Brett Brown's team has long languished at the bottom of the NBA standings and reeled off two separate losing streaks of at least 26 games in his three seasons.
For one night, in front of a sellout crowd of 20,510 that came to cheer Bryant, the streaks hardly mattered.
"I'm pleased for the city," Brown said. "We don't want this streak continuing."
Hours earlier, Bryant felt the love in Philadelphia as soon as he entered the arena.
He took selfies with fans who might never see him play again, and his presence injected a playoff atmosphere into a city that has lost much of its passion in NBA basketball.
With a packed crowd standing and roaring in appreciation, Bryant was lauded like a hometown hero, not the "Hometown Zero" he was once labeled in Philadelphia's tabloids.
Bryant, who will end his 20-year career this season, opened the first leg of his farewell tour in his hometown and was feted with the kind of reverence and gratitude normally reserved for a Sixers great.
"I wasn't expecting that type of reaction, ovation," he said. "Deeply appreciative beyond belief. It was really, really special."
Playing with the shot selection of a pickup artist, Bryant tried to deliver a special performance in his finale.
He buried a step-back 3-pointer off the opening tip.
He hit another 3 on the next possession.
Bryant made it 3 for 3 and had the Philly crowd chanting "M-V-P!" as he turned back the clock to his championship form.
"It was a little spurt of old-school Kobe," Noel said.
Bryant said he could tell the start made the Sixers a little starstruck - most were babies when he started his career.
"I could sense they were like `I really don't want to touch him.' ... `Is this going to be an 81 type of situation?"' Bryant said. "I'm just playing possum because I know my legs ain't going to carry this energy for 48 minutes."
Bryant scored 20 points on 7-of-26 shooting and made four 3s.
By the fourth quarter, the Philly fans had turned their attention toward the home team, chanting "Beat L.A.!" when beleaguered rookie Jahlil Okafor made a layup for a 94-80 lead.
Okafor, the No. 3 overall pick out of Duke, has been attached to a string of off-court incidents that included reckless driving and a fight in Boston. Brown said Okafor, who has apologized for his recent decisions, will likely soon be accompanied by team security on public outings.
Bryant said he would simply tell the 19-year-old rookie to stay focused on basketball.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) On Thursday night, the Philadelphia 76ers let a 24-point lead slip away in an especially difficult overtime loss to the Chicago Bulls.
Two days later, they made sure that wouldn't happen again.
Jahlil Okafor had 25 points and 10 rebounds and the 76ers snapped a four-game losing streak with a 114-89 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers on Saturday night.
Richaun Holmes added 17 points, and Ish Smith and Robert Covington scored 16 apiece for the Sixers. They improved to 5-37 with their most lopsided win of the season, erasing many of the lingering bad feelings that come from blowing a game they thought they had in the bag.
"We felt like we throw one away the other night," 76ers coach Brett Brown said. "We think that we're playing good basketball lately and I think the games confirm that."
Damian Lillard and Meyers Leonard each scored 14 points for the Blazers, C.J. McCollum had 13, and Mason Plumlee 12. The dropped to 18-25 with their first loss in four games.
Portland, in the midst of a three-game East Coast swing, looked flat from the opening tip.
Lillard and McCollum, the NBA's highest-scoring guard combo, shot 10 for 36 while combining to score nearly 20 points below their season average.
"We never got into any rhythm to the game," Blazers coach Terry Stotts said. "Philly maintained their pressure - full court, half court - and the shots we did get we didn't make."
Okafor torched the Blazers for 10 points in the first four minutes and 17 in the first quarter - as many as the entire Portland team. With a mixture of post moves and jumpers, the rookie center only missed one of his nine shot attempts in the opening quarter to help Philly take a 29-17 lead.
Led by Okafor's 12-for-16 night, the Sixers shot 55.3 percent from the field. In his first start since Jan. 2, Isaiah Canaan added 14 points for Philly.
"A few days ago when we played the Bulls, I think we learned our lesson - that the game wouldn't be over," Okafor said. "We were able to go out there, compete and get stops, and continue to run our offense. ... It was a really fun game to be a part of."

MIAMI (AP) Philadelphia was ahead most of the night, even building its biggest lead of the season.
The Miami Heat weren't fazed.
Dwyane Wade scored 27 points, Justise Winslow came up with a huge tip-in with 27 seconds remaining and the Heat held Philadelphia without a field goal for a seven-minute stretch in the fourth quarter to survive a huge scare and beat the still-winless 76ers 96-91 on Saturday night.
Hassan Whiteside finished with 13 points, nine rebounds and eight blocked shots for the Heat, who were down 17 at one point and still trailed 87-76 after a dunk by Nerlens Noel with 7:10 remaining. Miami outscored Philadelphia 19-2 to escape, dropping the 76ers to 0-14 this season and handing them their 24th consecutive loss going back to last season.
Few games in this losing streak were as winnable as this one seemed for Philadelphia, but the 76ers simply folded in the final minutes. The 76ers started 0-17 last season, and this 0-14 start is the ninth-worst in league history.
Isaiah Canaan scored 22 for Philadelphia, and Robert Covington finished with 21. Jahlil Okafor scored 16 points and grabbed 11 rebounds, while Noel finished with 10 points.
Wade continued moving up the scoring charts. He started the night No. 51 on the NBA's career list, and ended at No. 49 after passing Dale Ellis (19,004) and Reggie Theus (19,015).
Wade now has 19,017.
The Heat led for 4 minutes, 42 seconds in the first quarter and then spent the rest of the night playing uphill - that is, until 2:40 remained, when Wade set up Bosh for a game-tying 3-pointer from the top of the key, knotting the score at 89.
Gerald Green's free throws with 1:25 left put Miami up 91-89, the first Heat lead since it was 14-11 in the early going.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) There was no secret formula to Jimmy Butler's career night. He kept taking shots, and they kept going in.
Butler scored a career-high 53 points and E'Twaun Moore had seven of his 14 in overtime to lead the Chicago Bulls to a 115-111 victory over the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday.
"I was just shooting the ball," Butler said. "I just kept being aggressive, taking the shots the defense was giving me."
Butler also had 10 rebounds and six assists while making 15 of 30 field goals and 21 of 25 free throws to help the Bulls snap a three-game losing streak. He became the first Chicago player to score 50 points since Jamal Crawford in 2004.
"That's as good of a performance as I've seen," Bulls coach Fred Hoiberg said. "The guys hopped on his shoulders and he carried us home. Play after play, it was an unbelievable performance."
Robert Covington scored 25 points and Ish Smith had 24 for the 76ers, who fell to 4-37.
But the Sixers didn't go down easily in this one.
Nerlens Noel's follow put Philadelphia in front 108-104 just more than a minute into overtime. Moore followed with a 3-pointer, a drive and then a 15-footer for a 7-0 run that put Chicago up 111-108 with 2:35 remaining.
Butler's layup made it 113-108 before Smith's 3-pointer cut the lead to 113-111 with 1:05 remaining.
Smith had a chance to tie it but his layup with 25.9 seconds left rimmed out, and Doug McDermott clinched the victory with a pair of free throws with 10.4 seconds to play.
"E'Twaun making big baskets late, that guy gets a lot of the credit for this win," Butler said.
Chicago was without star guard Derrick Rose (knee) and starting center Pau Gasol (rest). Joakim Noah, making just his second start of the season, had six points, 16 rebounds and eight assists in Gasol's place.
And, of course, the Bulls had Butler.
"I got some help from my teammates. Keep giving me the ball, telling me to score, be aggressive, just supporting me on defense," he said. "This is a team win."
The Bulls outrebounded the 76ers 53-34.
Philadelphia scored the first eight points of the fourth quarter, capped by one of Covington's four fourth-quarter 3s, to take an 87-77 lead. But the Bulls, behind Butler's array of offensive skills, whittled away at the lead. He finally put Chicago ahead on a layup with 2:24 left in the fourth that made it 98-97.
After Smith's jumper put Philadelphia back in front on the ensuing possession, Butler converted a three-point play after draining a 15-footer to eclipse 50 points.
Smith then tied it at 101 on a drive before Moore's 3-pointer from the left wing put the Bulls ahead 104-101 with 1:17 left in regulation. Smith responded with a 3 of his own with 17.6 seconds left to tie it at 104.
The Bulls had a chance to win in regulation, but Butler lost control of the ball before attempting a shot.

PHILADELPHIA (AP) Kent Bazemore scored 22 points, Paul Millsap and Al Horford had 18 apiece and the Atlanta Hawks blew out the Philadelphia 76ers 126-98 on Thursday night to snap a two-game losing streak.
Dennis Schroder added 14 points off the bench for the Hawks, who shot 54 percent from the field and 42 percent from 3-point range against the NBA's worst team en route to their most lopsided win of the season.
Rookie Jahlil Okafor led the Sixers with 21 points, while Nerlens Noel had nine points and 13 rebounds. Recently acquired point guard Ish Smith finished with 12 points and seven assists.
Trailing by 24 midway through the third quarter, the Sixers tried to stage a rally with a 13-0 spurt. But the Hawks went ahead 97-76 at the end of the third and surged to a 32-point lead with 8:44 left behind 10 points in the first 3:16 of the fourth quarter from Schroder.
The Hawks forced the Sixers into 22 turnovers, including 10 in the third quarter. Atlanta finished with 33 fast-break points.
After the Sixers jumped ahead by six late in the first quarter, the Hawks took control with an 18-1 run to lead 36-22. Mike Scott scored nine points during the stretch, including a 3-pointer to beat the first-quarter buzzer after four sharp passes in five seconds threw the Philly defense off balance.
The Hawks built their lead to 17 by halftime.
The biggest cheer of the night came midway through the first quarter, when Smith's behind-the-back pass in transition found Noel, who dished it to a streaking Okafor for a slam.
Smith also got the crowd revved with a couple of alley-oops to Noel. But the Sixers couldn't push their record above .500 with Smith in the lineup, falling to 3-4 since they acquired the crafty point guard on Dec. 24. Before that deal, they were 1-30.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich. (AP) When Andre Drummond got rolling Wednesday night, Philadelphia 76ers coach Brett Brown did the same thing almost every NBA coach does.
He started fouling the Detroit Pistons center, hoping to chase the worst free-throw shooter in league history off the floor.
It usually works, as Drummond came into the game shooting 26.9 percent from the line in his last 13 games, including a barely believable 1 for 14 in the last two.
Wednesday was the rare exception. Drummond had his best night from the line since October, going 7 for 12 as the Pistons won 110-97.
"That was great," said Pistons coach Stan Van Gundy. "Who wants to foul a guy who is going to go 7 for 12? That kind of points per possession translates into good offense."
Able to play his normal 35 minutes, Drummond put up 25 points and 18 rebounds. That included nine offensive rebounds.
"Dre's an All-Star in this league and we all know it," said Reggie Jackson, who scored 27 points. "He hasn't had the best last two games, but he put a lot of work into it and it was great to see him knock down those free throws. He had his energy back tonight and he played like a great player again."
Jeremi Grant scored 21 points for the Sixers, while Nerlens Noel had 20.
"I've been playing against Andre since I was 15, so I know what you have to do to stop him," Noel said. "He's a great player, and I know that he can wear a lot of guys out with his strength and athletic ability, but he's one of the guys that I've always worked on being able to match."
The 76ers played without starters Jahlil Okafor and JaKarr Sampson, who both missed their second game in two nights with the flu.
Without them, the Sixers didn't have the legs to keep up with Detroit down the stretch. A victory would have given Philadelphia its first two-game winning streak of the season.
"We did a great job of gutting out most of that game," Brown said. "I think our young guys learned a lot about the NBA tonight, because they had to step up and make a huge effort when they were hurting physically and mentally."
Philadelphia led 79-74 going into the fourth, but Johnson's floater tied it at 86 with 7:31 to play. Johnson scored again on Detroit's next possession, and Jackson's 3-pointer put the Pistons up 91-90.
Detroit was within 45-44 at the half, but couldn't stop Noel early in the third. A very rare three-point play by Drummond helped Detroit stay in the game, but Isaiah Canaan topped him with a four-point play late in the period.
Noel and Grant outscored the Pistons 14-12 in the first quarter as Philadelphia built an eight-point lead. Even with the Sixers on the second half of a back-to-back, it was Detroit that came out without any energy - something Van Gundy has complained about all year.
"I thought we played three quarters of a game on both ends of the floor," he said. "We didn't play offense in the first quarter and we didn't play defense in the third. If we could ever play consistently for 48 minutes, we'd have a chance to do some big things."
The Sixers still led 36-26 with five minutes left in the second, but Detroit's offense finally showed up while Philadelphia stopped hitting shots. After a huge mistake when Drummond was called for goaltending on a 3-pointer, Detroit narrowed the gap when Jackson pulled up, pump-faked and banked in a buzzer-beating 3.
Both teams failed to break 40 percent from the floor in the half, but the Pistons were able to stay close despite nine turnovers by outscoring the Sixers 11-6 from the free throw line.

Both teams failed to break 40 percent from the floor in the half, but the Pistons were able to stay close despite nine turnovers by outscoring the Sixers 11-6 from the free throw line.
