TURN ON ANNOTATIONS AND ENJOY IN HD!
This report could've been worse and I was flying on a busy travel day, but this is currently the worst flying experience I've ever had including a MISSED connection. My father had enough points for a free flight and used them for me going to Fort Lauderdale from Milwaukee, and on the way out to FLL my only choices were to connect in EWR. And this was my first time on United! Last year I was scheduled to come in late but this time, I was not! I was supposed to get in at 5:30 PM but I got in almost 9 hours late! And I was awake for over 20 hours straight! It starts off with an ERJ-145 and then a Boeing 737-800 that was retrofitted with split scimitar winglets. Find out in this video of what issues happened.

Glad you once more made it to one of my reviews! First of all thank you for watching, I hope you enjoy!
Just a bit of information about this review:
During my last California vacation last september I got the chance to fly United Airlines domestic business class for the very first time. They offered a great deal and luckily one of those domestic flights was operated by a Boeing dreamliner, which in my opinion is one of the best looking and comfortable planes to fly these days. The good thing about a long haul aircraft on a domestic route is that you get the full business class experience, with all lie flat seats, great IFE and superb service. This isn't the case on their 737's..
United has a pretty decent business class and the FA's tried hard to make the flight as enjoyable as possible. Food was ok, nothing special but also not shabby or disgusting. There are minor things that could be better(check the video for that), but all in all I was very satisfied with the product. Unfortunately the flight time was only 3 hours, what a bummer :)

On 24 February 1989, United Airlines Flight 811 was flying above the Pacific Ocean when part of the right-side fuselage was ripped off, ejecting nine people from the aircraft and causing explosive decompression. The flight later landed safely at Honolulu without any more loss of life. An electrical short circuit caused the cargo door to open, creating the explosive decompression.

United Airlines Experience, featuring the Economy Plus cabin onboard the Boeing B777-200ER, flight UA896 from Singapore to Hong Kong.
UA896 is a United-operated flight from Singapore to Chicago, via Hong Kong. Flight time from Singapore to Hong Kong is 3 hours and 17 minutes. United Economy Plus features a wider seat pitch of 34 inches versus 31 inches in United Economy. United Economy Plus passengers also get to deboard first after landing. Service-wise, it is the same as United Economy, though United Economy Plus passengers are served first. Breakfast is served onboard, and the flight attendants are positive and upbeat, despite the very early departure out of Singapore. It was a very pleasant flying experience with United Airlines.

An economy class trip report of United flight 902 from Frankfurt Intl. Airport (FRA) to San Francisco Intl. Airport (SFO). Our aircraft was an old-looking 747-400, which was refurbished about half a year ago. The economy cabin seats had very little legroom and no personal IFE. However, power outlets were available below seats. I read in the "United Hemispheres Magazine" that the airline has introduced some "new menu" and "new level of service" on all of its long-haul economy flights. The only difference of the "new" meals vs. the "old" meals was the wobbly tray that the food was served on. The food itself was still not of very good quality. I guess the meals are United's main disadvantage. Overall, a pretty good flight experience, but in my opinion United could have done much better to improve the comfort and well-being of its economy class passengers...

This report could've been worse and I was flying on a busy travel day, but this is currently the worst flying experience I've ever had including a MISSED connection. My father had enough points for a free flight and used them for me going to Fort Lauderdale from Milwaukee, and on the way out to FLL my only choices were to connect in EWR. And this was my first time on United! Last year I was scheduled to come in late but this time, I was not! I was supposed to get in at 5:30 PM but I got in almost 9 hours late! And I was awake for over 20 hours straight! It starts off with an ERJ-145 and then a Boeing 737-800 that was retrofitted with split scimitar winglets. Find out in this video of what issues happened.

Just a bit of information about this review:
During my last California vacation last september I got the chance to fly United Airlines domestic business class for the very first time. They offered a great deal and luckily one of those domestic flights was operated by a Boeing dreamliner, which in my opinion is one of the best looking and comfortable planes to fly these days. The good thing about a long haul aircraft on a domestic route is that you get the full business class experience, with all lie flat seats, great IFE and superb service. This isn't the case on their 737's..
United has a pretty decent business class and the FA's tried hard to make the flight as enjoyable as possible. Food was ok, nothing special but also not shabby or disgusting. There are minor things that could be better(check the video for that), but all in all I was very satisfied with the product. Unfortunately the flight time was only 3 hours, what a bummer :)

The only difference of the "new" meals vs. the "old" meals was the wobbly tray that the food was served on. The food itself was still not of very good quality. I guess the meals are United's main disadvantage. Overall, a pretty good flight experience, but in my opinion United could have done much better to improve the comfort and well-being of its economy class passengers...

In the spring of 2008, Sons of Maxwell were traveling to Nebraska for a one-week tour and my Taylor guitar was witnessed being thrown by United Airlines baggage handlers in Chicago. I discovered later that the $3500 guitar was severely damaged. They didn't deny the experience occurred but for nine months the various people I communicated with put the responsibility for dealing with the damage on everyone other than themselves and finally said they would do nothing to compensate me for my loss.
So I promised the last person to finally say no to compensation (Ms. Irlweg) that I would write and produce three songs about my experience with United Airlines and make videos for each to be viewed online by anyone in the world. United Breaks Guitars is the first of those songs.

United Airlines reported in a statement last week that their CEO, Oscar Munoz, who has been on medical leave since October, underwent a heart transplant operation. It’s reported that a transplant was considered the preferred treatment and was not the result of a setback in his recovery. United said they expect him to return to his position at the end of the first quarter or the beginning of the second quarter of this year. British Airways has shelved a plan to turn household waste into biofuel in light of falling oil prices and the bankruptcy filing by its partner in the program. The airline had partnered with U.S.-based Solena Fuels Corporation to build a plant in Essex for the "Green Sky London" project. UAV manufacturer 3DR announced at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas last week that it has new software coming for its Solo drone sometime this spring. The software update will include Multipoint cable cam and Follow with Free Look, which extends the platform’s four existing Smart Shots. All this -- and MORE in today's episode of Airborne!!!

Finally I get to upload this! hey guys :) And welcome to my extra long report from BRU to ORD :) I took this flight about two weeks ago when I came home for the holidays :) Chicago isn't my home though, Minneapolis is my homeland ;) and that report will be up next month or so. Anyway... HAPPY NEW YEAR!! I wish you all a happy and healthy 2016 and hope you have many trips in 2016. I do not have much planned but I hope to be able to go home ( USA ) for the Summer :) so for the report... I had a very nice experience with UA, But there were a couple things I would like to point out, The food tasted good but I have to say, the presentation for the main course was not up to most airline standards. I mean, if this meal was served on TK or EK or even Delta... someone would get fired ;) anyway, the flight attendants were nice, but a little to old to be a flight attendant... and the plane was old but the business class was new so I didn't care, and it had wifi :) So thanks for watching and I will see you on the ORD-MSP report. Time for another trip report! I've found these to be extremely enjoyable to make. This time, you get to experience my trip home from our annual family vacation in Ixtapa, Mexico to St. Louis, MO. It includes all the steps involved with the trip, including cab rides, airport tours, flight footage, and more. I also got to experience my first-ever Boeing 737-900. It's a beautiful aircraft, and it was **MUCH** more comfortable than the 737-800 I had coming down to Ixtapa. The Sky interior was really neat, and the seats United had on it were much better. Then, I got the obligatory ERJ-145 ride from Houston up to St. Louis on Expressjet. United uses a ton of them in and out of St. Louis (and everywhere else), so being a frequent United flier means that I've gotten my fair share of rides on this little aircraft. I like it more than most people do. The single seat on the "A" side and the large windows really make for a pleasant experience in my opinion, though it does start getting a little claustrophobic around the 2-hour mark.
This is the second time I've filmed this route (hence the "2" in the video title). It's the 3rd time if you count my trip report in the other direction. Since my family has a tradition of doing a trip down to Ixtapa every winter, I've done this route many times on many different airlines. However, as with most of my travel, I do it most frequently on United (via Houston). Check the bottom of the description for links to the previous trip reports.

Alright everyone, here's the much-requested footage from my trip out to Roanoke this past April! I did this trip on United via Washington-Dulles. For the first leg, I rode a Trans States ERJ-145 from St. Louis to Dulles. I've taken this exact same flight in the past on my way to Norfolk (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YPYscaKS2vk). This time, I was treated to a view of some amazing could formations as we climbed out of St. Louis, and we landed from the North at Dulles. The real highlight of this video is the second leg of the trip. Originally scheduled to be on a 37-seat Bombardier Q200 turboprop, United swapped out the aircraft to a larger 50-seat Q300 about an hour before the flight. To make things even nicer, there were only 13 passengers onboard. Talk about an empty flight! Needless to say, I got a row to myself. I love catching rides on aircraft with propellors whenever possible, and a beautiful ride through the Virginia mountains onboard a turboprop was pretty cool. The trip ends in Roanoke, where I spent a few days with my good friend Dieselducy.
My flight back was on United via Chicago O'Hare.

Part IV of my April 2014 USA trip! In order to get from Chicago to Florida I wanted to log Silver Airways SAAB 340 which operates numourus routes within Florida. Originally I was aiming to fly via Tampa but the fare went up! Then I had a choice between a later 757 flight or an early morning A320! Almost booking the 757 I realized the Saab flight would be after dark so I opted for the morning flight! Another surprise came when I was offered an upgrade for around 60EURs, being around new year I decided to give it a go! A few weeks after booking my equipment changed to a Boeing 737-900, which I only flew once before...

I really liked O'hare Airport! Unlike terminal 2, T1 has a very open layout with lots of natural lights! Even plugs in the gate area are well located. Too bad the priority line merges into the regular line so there is no advantage in that.
Aircraft cleanliness 70%
N37408's cabin was well used but still comfortable enough for me :)
Seat comfort 90%
Very comfortable leather seating, It felt like an average sofa at home. The recline was very generous as well making up for the early AM wake-up
Crew: 90%
Very talktative and friendly crew that had eye for detail, they where clearly on top of their game doing their very best to serve and please all passengers. Great to see the former Continental standard is still in the air.
IFE: 100%
Direct TV with alot of channels for free, commercial free moving map and wifi!
Catering 90%
Unlike my BA club Europe flight we got pre-departures, choice between eggs and cereal! Portion and taste where great for the 2,5 hour flight.
Arrival 80%
Orlando MCO is a smooth airport. Only negative part is that I had to go to the center of the concourse before finding a sign of FIDS.
Overall verdict 86%
After my rather average British Airways upgrade a few weeks prior I did not know what to expect. This flight thankfully was way different. United offered very comfortable seating and a great meal service. Free directtv was also an added value. Our crew was very kind as well. Overall (accept the security line issue at ORD) it was very well spent 60 EURS. This would be one of best rated flights of 2014

Unlike my BA club Europe flight we got pre-departures, choice between eggs and cereal! Portion and taste where great for the 2,5 hour flight.

Orlando MCO is a smooth airport. Only negative part is that I had to go to the center of the concourse before finding a sign of FIDS.
Overall verdict 86%
After my rather average British Airways upgrade a few weeks prior I did not know what to expect. This flight thankfully was way different. United offered very comfortable seating and a great meal service. Free directtv was also an added value. Our crew was very kind as well. Overall (accept the security line issue at ORD) it was very well spent 60 EURS. This would be one of best rated flights of 2014

Back in February, I was out in Virginia on a mix of business and seeing friends. Since the trip involved flying, I (of course) grabbed my camera and headed to the airport. I've done this trip before on United, but it was via Chicago O'Hare in both directions. (Footage of that trip is available here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gnr4pJaPG1g). This time, I did it on United via Washington-Dulles. While an unfortunate schedule change meant that I had to spend 3 hours on the ground at Dulles, it gave me time to really explore the airport. Dulles is probably most famous for its mobile lounges that are now used for concourse-to-concourse travel (and will be out of service entirely some day). I got to catch a ride on one, as well as experience the new underground people mover that's replacing the mobile lounges.
The trip, as trips on United often do, involved 2 ERJ-145s: One operated by Trans States, the other by Expressjet. The whole thing went very smoothly.
