This video is for the community of West Sussex as I can honestly say I have never seen a community come together and refuse to be knocked down in a time like we are currently experiencing. We are all leaning on each other and helping the people that need it the most when it truly matters. I'm proud to say I'm from the west even in such tragic circumstances. There were people that I personally knew involved and i'm hoping that in some way shape or form the love and support shown by the community is helping the families and friends of the victims of this horrific ordeal in which ever way it can. We have all come together and no one can argue that. stay strong together as much as we can and always remember to live life to the full. This is to share and to know that we are all there for each other. Sleep tight Angels in the sky ❤️👼🏼💜. I do not have any copyright over the audio or the pictures. The song is owned by Leona Lewis- Footprints in the sand. All the pictures are public and were found on Google, Facebook, newspapers, magazines, friends and family.

Vintage Rick Steves Europe travel show clip: Open-air folk museums
Reviewing this 25-year-old clip from our pilot series, I’m impressed by several things (beyond how young and gawky I was back then): The tips are still good. The sights are still there. And, anywhere in Europe, the fun is still ours to have — if we know how to travel smart.

Take a tour of Beachy Head in England -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions series by GeoBeats.
In the English East Sussex county, lies a tranquil chalk headland, the Beachy Head.
The chalk formation started accumulating more than 65 million years ago, around the period known as Late Cretaceous.
Lying in the vicinity of the Seven Sisters chalks cliffs, this serene place is simply entrancing with gorgeous views of the sea, the sky, and the land.
There are two lighthouses built on the surroundings of this headland, because it posed a significant threat to ships.
Due to the continuous erosion of the cliffs, the Belle Tout lighthouse had to be shifted 17 meters inland.
Steep cliffs, pristine blue waters, green lands rest unruffled in the laps of nature set to spellbind you.

Set high on a hill, dominating the skyline and overlooking the ancient town of Arundel, is the Cathedral Church of Our Lady and St. Philip Howard.
Lower down the hill is Arundel Castle, seat of the Dukes of Norfolk. The church, which was made a Cathedral as recently as 1965, was founded by Henry Fitzalan-Howard, 15th Duke of Norfolk, in 1868. Built in the French Gothic style that would have been popular between 1300 and 1400 it was completed in 1873 and opened to the public on July 1st of that year.
The Church was originally dedicated to Our Lady and St. Philip Neri. Following the canonisation of the martyr Philip Howard, 20th Earl of Arundel, by Pope Paul VI in 1970, as one of the Forty Martyrs of England and Wales and the reburial of his relics in the Cathedral, the dedication was changed in 1971 to Our Lady and St. Philip Howard
A few days before the celebration of Corpus Christi (60 days after Easter) a carpet of flowers is laid down the Cathedral’s central aisle by Cathedral parishioners. Open for public viewing, usually the day before and on the day of the celebration, thousands come to visit the Cathedral and see the flowers. The flowers are trampled underfoot by worshipers at the 5.30pm Mass, which is followed by procession to the Castle for Benediction.

In the 16th century Brighton, then called Brighthelmston, was a fishing village. In the 18th century the fishing industry went into decline, people moved away to look for work and those that remained were poverty stricken, too poor to pay their rates. Today it is a lively cosmopolitan metropolis, often referred to as London-by-the-Sea. Due to its close proximity to the capital city, being less than one hour’s journey time away, Londoners flock to Brighton at week-ends, which probably gave rise to the saying ‘a dirty weekend in Brighton’ helped, no doubt, by the antics of the future King of England, George IV, at the time of his visits to the town.
The town’s fortunes were reversed, in part, by some doctors claiming that diseases could be cured by bathing in sea-water. King George III was the first royal to regularly visit the seaside town of Weymouth to swim. His son, later to become King George IV, favoured Brighton where he rented a respectable farm-house, which he then purchased and extended into what is now the Royal Pavilion, Brighton. Being away from London and his parents, who he never got on well with and they him, allowed him the freedom to indulge in his extravagant lifestyle and his passions of drinking, womanising and gambling that scandalised the country and got him heavily into debt. It was also a discreet location for the Prince to enjoy liaisons with his long-time companion, Maria Fitzherbert, whom he later married in secret.
Travel in the 18th century was expansive so only rich towns people could afford to holiday at the seaside. The rich have a tendency to follow in the footsteps of the royals, so houses for the wealthy were built as Brighton attracted everyone of importance.
Queen Victoria made her first visit to the Royal Pavilion in 1837. Wanting to distance herself and her family from her Uncle’s lavish lifestyle and extravagance she adopted a frugal lifestyle. She hated the lack of privacy and space that the Royal Pavilion offered her and her growing family so finally she sold it to the town of Brighton for £50,000 in 1850. She ordered the building to be stripped of all interior decorations, fittings and furnishings for use in other royal homes. Some of these have been returned but it is nothing like it was in its heyday.
During the First World War the Pavilion was transformed into a military hospital. From December 1914 to January 1916, sick and wounded soldiers from the Indian Army were treated in the former palace.

The Swan Hotel is a traditional country pub with accommodation, The Swan Hotel boasts a range of 14 ensuite rooms from doubles to a family suite, making it the perfect place for a relaxing getaway. Breakfast is included as standard. Enjoy a continental style buffet, or choose from a wide range of hot breakfast options.
The Swan Hotel was never an ordinary alehouse. Kimpton’s Guide to Arundel of 1903 referred to The Swan as ‘Providing good accommodation for travellers and cyclists’. The guide also praised its ‘Wines and spirits of superior quality’ and its catering for ‘Beanfeasts and other parties’. Along with serving Fuller’s award-winning cask ales, these are traditions that The Swan Hotel is proud to continue to this day.

A brief history of the hotel…
For your amusement and appreciation, we have included a little about the history of the hotel and the beautiful, enchanting town of Arundel.
The Swan dates back to 1759, when it was built facing the bustling Arundel Town Quay. Originally there was a courtyard at the rear with stabling for horses and coaches, otherwise this fine Georgian building looks much the same as it did at the end of the 18th century. The old inn sign from that time is displayed in the hotel’s restaurant.
Before 1900 Arundel was a thriving seaport. It was originally registered as a port in 1071.By the mid-19th century the river Arun was linked by canals to London and Portsmouth.
Wharves along the Arun once bristled with the masts of ships and barges carrying coal, timber, chalk and salt. However, trade declined with the growth of Littlehampton harbour. Eventually, when a railway bridge was built across the river at Ford in 1938, tall ships could no longer reach the port.
Nevertheless, fresh local fish remains popular and is always to be found on the menu of The Swan Hotel. The Arun itself is famous for its mullet. Curiously, babies born in Arundel qualify to be called ‘Mullets’. The name is carried with pride – a register of ‘Mullets’ is kept in the town library.
At one time, to satisfy its thirsty seafarers, shipwrights and stevedores, the small town of Arundel boasted two breweries and no less than 30 public houses. In those days beer was safer to drink than the so-called drinking water. Rural Sussex did not receive piped water until the late 19th century, and some parts of Arundel not until the mid-20th century.
With grateful acknowledgements to Rupert Brooks and Arundel Museum.

We tackle the par 4 10th on the West Course at East Sussex National, a tricky hole characterised by a dogleg right with a lake guarding the approach on the second shot. The greens on this stadium-like course are very undulating, forming a terrific test of golf.
