"Hitler's Henchmen" offers in-depth personal and political profiles of six men who became architects of the destruction of Europe. Portraits of the men who carried out Hitler's plans: ZDF's sequel about the men who consolidated Hitler's reign and turned his plans into action. In Harry Cooper's book Hitler in Argentina (2014) there's a long report by the Spanish agent Don Angel Alcázar de Velasco on how he assisted in Martin Bormann's escape from Spain to Argentina.
Don Angel on page 239 of Harry Cooper's book: "The only Nazi which I brought to Argentina was Martin Bormann (a circumcised Jew although a Nazi). Eichmann (also a Jew) visited me at Madrid sent by a clergyman. Eichmann showed me a passport or safe conduct expended by the Vatican. I attended him for four days. Then he left without a trace. One month later came Martin Bormann and I have already told you how the voyage was.
The data I have about Mengele (again a Jew) does match with this published by newspapers. At Asuncion (Paraguay) a friend of mine told me in 1963 where he was and that if I wished to see him he would guide me to where he was hidden. I declined because I was sure that I was being followed. I have never seen Mengele. The same year the Israeli Intelligence Service through one of its agents in Madrid, Mr. Casasola (he is still alive) proposed me to go looking for him. I said no."

Up until then it had generally been the middle and lower echelon officers and soldiers who had been made to suffer as retribution for aggression and atrocities, but now those at or near the top of the hierarchy stood before the bar. In Germany, by October 1945, 21 defendants bad been brought to Nuremberg prison to await their trials. The twenty-second individual, Martin Bormann, was to be tried in absentia; the twenty-third, Robert Ley, Reichsleiter of the labor front which had also operated the forced-labor camps, a political opponent of Bormann for many years, committed suicide before the trials began.
The first Nuremberg trial dragged on for ten months before sentences were handed down. Ten Nazi leaders were sentenced to death, and went to the gallows in the small gymnasium of the prison. Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop was first to die; he was followed by Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Alfred Rosenberg, Hans Frank, Wilhelm Frick, Julius Streicher, Fritz Sauckel, Alfred Jodl, and Arthur SeyssInquart. Only two escaped, Reichsmarshal Hermann Goering and Party Minister Martin Bormann. Goering had gulped down a cyanide capsule smuggled to him in his cell, leaving a farewell message that death in this manner was preferable to the indignity of hanging. Certainly there was little dignity in the somber setting where ten former national leaders were put to death. The executions were accomplished with precision; the American sergeant who presided over this macabre event said, "Hot damn, 110 minutes, right on time!"
But if one hardened sergeant was insensitive, there were those all over the Western world who spoke out against the trials and continue to do so today. Prominent among the doubters was Telford Taylor, U.S. chief counsel at Nuremberg. Ten days before the executions of the German leaders, the late Senator Robert A. Taft had condemned the trials and sentences. He strongly suggested that involuntary exile might have been wiser, more in keeping with professed American values. He had said that the trials, whose rules of law were formulated and enacted on the spot and then made retroactive, "violate the fundamental principle of American law that a man cannot be tried under ex post facto statute. . . . Nuremberg was a blot on American Constitutional history, and a serious departure from our Anglo-Saxon heritage of fair and equal treatment, a heritage which had rightly made this country respected throughout the world. . . . About this whole judgment there is a spirit of vengeance, and vengeance is seldom justice. The hanging of men convicted will be a blot on the American record which we shall long regret."
Taft further stated, "In these trials, we have accepted the Russian idea of the purpose of the trials-government policy and not justice-with little relation to Anglo-Saxon heritage. By clothing policy in the forms of legal procedure, we may discredit the whole idea of justice in Europe for years to come."
The Nuremberg Trials were man's first fumbling attempts to outlaw war, and their legality was obscure, their morality-confused. The Allies knew that they too had been guilty of war crimes. Dresden, for example.

Martin Bormann (* 17. Juni 1900 in Wegeleben; † 2. Mai 1945 in Berlin) war in Deutschland zur Zeit des Nationalsozialismus Leiter der Partei-Kanzlei der NSDAP im Rang eines Reichsministers. Er wurde im Nürnberger Prozess gegen die Hauptkriegsverbrecher als einer von 24 Personen angeklagt. Am 1. Martin Ludwig Bormann (17 June 1900 – 2 May 1945?) was a prominent Nazi official. He became head of the Party Chancellery (Parteikanzlei) and private secretary to Adolf Hitler. He gained Hitler's trust and derived immense power within the Third Reich by controlling access to the Führer and by regulating the orbits of those closest to him.
Born in Wegeleben (now in Saxony-Anhalt) in the Kingdom of Prussia in the German Empire, Bormann was born to a Lutheran family, the son of Theodor Bormann (1862–1903), a post office employee, and his second wife, Antonie Bernhardine Mennong. He had two half-siblings (Else and Walter Bormann) from his father's earlier marriage to Louise Grobler, who died in 1898. Antonie Bormann gave birth to three sons, one of whom died in infancy. Martin (born 1900) and Albert (born 1902) survived to adulthood.
Bormann dropped out of school to work on a farm in Mecklenburg. He served in an artillery regiment in the last days of World War I, but never saw action. He then became an estate manager in Mecklenburg, which brought him into contact with the Freikorps residing on the estate. He took part in their activities, mostly in assassinations and the intimidation of trade union organisers.[better reference needed]

Taft had condemned the trials and sentences. He strongly suggested that involuntary exile might have been wiser, more in keeping with professed American values. He had said that the trials, whose rules of law were formulated and enacted on the spot and then made retroactive, "violate the fundamental principle of American law that a man cannot be tried under ex post facto statute. . . . Nuremberg was a blot on American Constitutional history, and a serious departure from our Anglo-Saxon heritage of fair and equal treatment, a heritage which had rightly made this country respected throughout the world. . . . About this whole judgment there is a spirit of vengeance, and vengeance is seldom justice. The hanging of men convicted will be a blot on the American record which we shall long regret." Taft further stated, "In these trials, we have accepted the Russian idea of the purpose of the trials-government policy and not justice-with little relation to Anglo-Saxon heritage. In Harry Cooper's book Hitler in Argentina (2014) there's a long report by the Spanish agent Don Angel Alcázar de Velasco on how he assisted in Martin Bormann's escape from Spain to Argentina.
Don Angel on page 239 of Harry Cooper's book: "The only Nazi which I brought to Argentina was Martin Bormann (a circumcised Jew although a Nazi). Eichmann (also a Jew) visited me at Madrid sent by a clergyman. Eichmann showed me a passport or safe conduct expended by the Vatican. I attended him for four days. Then he left without a trace. One month later came Martin Bormann and I have already told you how the voyage was.
The data I have about Mengele (again a Jew) does match with this published by newspapers. At Asuncion (Paraguay) a friend of mine told me in 1963 where he was and that if I wished to see him he would guide me to where he was hidden. I declined because I was sure that I was being followed. I have never seen Mengele. The same year the Israeli Intelligence Service through one of its agents in Madrid, Mr. Casasola (he is still alive) proposed me to go looking for him. I said no."

It was the first time in the history of modern warfare that those who gave the orders and were responsible for the particular aspect of genocide were to be brought before an international court of justice. Up until then it had generally been the middle and lower echelon officers and soldiers who had been made to suffer as retribution for aggression and atrocities, but now those at or near the top of the hierarchy stood before the bar. In Germany, by October 1945, 21 defendants bad been brought to Nuremberg prison to await their trials. The twenty-second individual, Martin Bormann, was to be tried in absentia; the twenty-third, Robert Ley, Reichsleiter of the labor front which had also operated the forced-labor camps, a political opponent of Bormann for many years, committed suicide before the trials began.
The first Nuremberg trial dragged on for ten months before sentences were handed down. Ten Nazi leaders were sentenced to death, and went to the gallows in the small gymnasium of the prison. Foreign Minister Joachim von Ribbentrop was first to die; he was followed by Field Marshal Wilhelm Keitel, Ernst Kaltenbrunner, Alfred Rosenberg, Hans Frank, Wilhelm Frick, Julius Streicher, Fritz Sauckel, Alfred Jodl, and Arthur SeyssInquart. Only two escaped, Reichsmarshal Hermann Goering and Party Minister Martin Bormann. Goering had gulped down a cyanide capsule smuggled to him in his cell, leaving a farewell message that death in this manner was preferable to the indignity of hanging. Certainly there was little dignity in the somber setting where ten former national leaders were put to death. The executions were accomplished with precision; the American sergeant who presided over this macabre event said, "Hot damn, 110 minutes, right on time!"
But if one hardened sergeant was insensitive, there were those all over the Western world who spoke out against the trials and continue to do so today. Prominent among the doubters was Telford Taylor, U.S. chief counsel at Nuremberg. Ten days before the executions of the German leaders, the late Senator Robert A. Taft had condemned the trials and sentences. He strongly suggested that involuntary exile might have been wiser, more in keeping with professed American values. He had said that the trials, whose rules of law were formulated and enacted on the spot and then made retroactive, "violate the fundamental principle of American law that a man cannot be tried under ex post facto statute. . . . Nuremberg was a blot on American Constitutional history, and a serious departure from our Anglo-Saxon heritage of fair and equal treatment, a heritage which had rightly made this country respected throughout the world. . . . About this whole judgment there is a spirit of vengeance, and vengeance is seldom justice. The hanging of men convicted will be a blot on the American record which we shall long regret."
Taft further stated, "In these trials, we have accepted the Russian idea of the purpose of the trials-government policy and not justice-with little relation to Anglo-Saxon heritage. By clothing policy in the forms of legal procedure, we may discredit the whole idea of justice in Europe for years to come."
The Nuremberg Trials were man's first fumbling attempts to outlaw war, and their legality was obscure, their morality-confused. The Allies knew that they too had been guilty of war crimes. Dresden, for example.

Prominent among the doubters was Telford Taylor, U.S. chief counsel at Nuremberg. Ten days before the executions of the German leaders, the late Senator Robert A. Taft had condemned the trials and sentences. He strongly suggested that involuntary exile might have been wiser, more in keeping with professed American values. He had said that the trials, whose rules of law were formulated and enacted on the spot and then made retroactive, "violate the fundamental principle of American law that a man cannot be tried under ex post facto statute. . . . Nuremberg was a blot on American Constitutional history, and a serious departure from our Anglo-Saxon heritage of fair and equal treatment, a heritage which had rightly made this country respected throughout the world. . . . About this whole judgment there is a spirit of vengeance, and vengeance is seldom justice. The hanging of men convicted will be a blot on the American record which we shall long regret."
Taft further stated, "In these trials, we have accepted the Russian idea of the purpose of the trials-government policy and not justice-with little relation to Anglo-Saxon heritage. By clothing policy in the forms of legal procedure, we may discredit the whole idea of justice in Europe for years to come."
The Nuremberg Trials were man's first fumbling attempts to outlaw war, and their legality was obscure, their morality-confused. The Allies knew that they too had been guilty of war crimes. Dresden, for example.

As part of a deception ploy a body of a Bormann look-alike and suitably doctored medical records were left in Berlin to cover up.
The books makes simple fascinating reading because it unveils to what extent secret intelligence work needs to be kept secret, even from people who readers would like to believe are in ‘a position to know’ including in this case such names as the top historians of this period of time, undisputed authorities such as Hugh Trevor-Roper (now Lord Dacre) or Hugh Thomas, both of whom have written extensively about the Nazi era and are -in Creighton’s view- both duped by the ruse.
In yet another twist of history Creighton claims that the then head of ultra-secret M section of Naval Intelligence, Major Desmond Morton, another key actor in this incredible story, takes Bormann back to Germany after the war were the former Nazi boss is able to sit in the visitor’s gallery at the Nuremberg trial at which he is sentenced in absentia.
Another stunning revelation would be the degree to which governments can manipulate information, doctoring all sorts of records so that the paperwork supports the facts which are being specifically being construed for reasons of state.

Here they emerged to find the ruins of Berlin in flames, and Russian shells bursting everywhere around them. They emerged at the Friedrichstrasse Station, but there became confused and disoriented.
They made their way north along the Friedrichstrasse to the Weidendammer Bridge, where they found their way blocked, at the bridge's north end, by an anti-tank barrier and heavy Russian fire.
They next withdrew to the south end of the bridge, where they were soon joined by a few German tanks. Gathering about the tanks, they again pressed forward. Bormann, Artur Axmann (head of the Hitler Youth), Ludwig Stumpfegger (Hitler's surgeon), and others followed the lead tanks as far as the Ziegelstrasse.
There a panzerfaust struck the lead tank. The violent explosion stunned Bormann and Stumpfegger, and wounded Axmann. All retreated to the Weidendammer Bridge.
Now it was every man for himself. Bormann, Stumpfegger, Axmann, and others followed the tracks of the surface railway to the Lehrter station. There Bormann and Stumpfegger decided to follow the Invalidienstrasse east.
Axmann elected to go west, but encountered a Russian patrol and returned on the path Bormann and Stumpfegger had taken. He soon found them. Behind the bridge, where the Invalidienstrasse crosses the railroad tracks, they lay on their backs, the moonlight on their faces. Both were dead. Axmann could see no signs of an explosion, and assumed that they had been shot in the back.

Its not a ''conspiracy theory'' that Martin Bormann survived post 1945 but there is documentary evidence that the remains found in Berlin of Martin Bormann in 1972 bore the following scientific conclusions; 1) The teeth as confirmed by Forensic dental Surgeon Prof Sognnaes (involved in the 1972 forensic investigation of the remains) had dentistry that was early 1950's (dead men do not go to the dentist); 2) The position of the teeth proved they were of a much older man than 45. (Bormann was Born in 1900); 3) The skeletal composition showed ''ageing'' of a man in his 60's it is claimed he died when he was 44; 4) The skull was encased in a red clay exotic to Europe but local to the very place Laurence De Mello's and others' investigations place Bormann at the time of his death: Paraguay.

John Ainsworth Davis claims from adolescence to have been befriended by Von Ribbentrop, Lord Mountbatten (a college friend of his father), Major Desmond Morton, Churchill's friend and head of the Industrial Intelligence Centre, and by Churchill himself, when he and his mother rented a cottage on the Chartwell estate.
Morton recruited our hero, age 16, via Dartmouth into his ultra-secret "M-section", in March 1940. He was sent almost immediately to destroy a German submarine base in Ireland where he killed four men, three with his bare hands. In 1942, posing as a disaffected ex-Mosleyite pilot officer he betrayed the disastrous Dieppe operation to the Germans to establish his bona fides with them. Back in Britain, he was used by Morton to persuade Hitler that the Allied invasion of Europe would focus on the Pas de Calais rather than Normandy. Morton betrayed his identity as a British agent to the SS so that under torture he would confirm the story, which he thought to be true. Rescued by his colleagues in the M-section, he returned to Britain, where he fell in love.
His inamorata was dropped into the Austrian Tyrol by SOE where Austrian resistance members gave her the name of the Swiss bank where Nazi war loot had been deposited. She was caught by the SS, tortured and executed. Hearing this, our hero tried to shoot Morton. Thereafter, Ian Fleming recruited him to the mission which is the main theme of the book: the recovery of the cash, gold, jewellery and works of art that the Nazis had stashed outside Germany. The mission involved him re-establishing contact with Ribbentrop, entering Germany via Switzerland, meeting both Ribbentrop and Martin Bormann, and for a hefty bribe, agreeing to arrange their escape from Germany.
Eisenhower became aware of these plans and attached his own agent, a gung-ho female officer, whose ability to play the Soviet Commissar enabled the British to bluff their way past various Soviet forces they encountered. A double for Bormann was discovered in Canada and taken on the mission, to be sacrificed so that his body would be taken for Bormann's. Ribbentrop pulled out of the adventure, Bormann was rescued and taken to Britain where he later died.
Bormann was the adminstrator of Operation Regentroepfchen, the evacuation of Reich gold, money and treasure to Argentina, and the size of this fortune evidenced by the few documents released from Argentine official archives is mind boggling. If Bormann survived and escaped, it was to Argentina that he came.
Postwar Nazi money laundering through bogus land deals was administered from San Carlos de Bariloche in Neuquen province. John Ainsworth Davis claims from adolescence to have been befriended by Von Ribbentrop, Lord Mountbatten (a college friend of his father), Major Desmond Morton, Churchill's friend and head of the Industrial Intelligence Centre, and by Churchill himself, when he and his mother rented a cottage on the Chartwell estate.
Morton recruited our hero, age 16, via Dartmouth into his ultra-secret "M-section", in March 1940. He was sent almost immediately to destroy a German submarine base in Ireland where he killed four men, three with his bare hands. In 1942, posing as a disaffected ex-Mosleyite pilot officer he betrayed the disastrous Dieppe operation to the Germans to establish his bona fides with them. Back in Britain, he was used by Morton to persuade Hitler that the Allied invasion of Europe would focus on the Pas de Calais rather than Normandy. Morton betrayed his identity as a British agent to the SS so that under torture he would confirm the story, which he thought to be true. Rescued by his colleagues in the M-section, he returned to Britain, where he fell in love.
His inamorata was dropped into the Austrian Tyrol by SOE where Austrian resistance members gave her the name of the Swiss bank where Nazi war loot had been deposited. She was caught by the SS, tortured and executed. Hearing this, our hero tried to shoot Morton. Thereafter, Ian Fleming recruited him to the mission which is the main theme of the book: the recovery of the cash, gold, jewellery and works of art that the Nazis had stashed outside Germany. The mission involved him re-establishing contact with Ribbentrop, entering Germany via Switzerland, meeting both Ribbentrop and Martin Bormann, and for a hefty bribe, agreeing to arrange their escape from Germany.
Eisenhower became aware of these plans and attached his own agent, a gung-ho female officer, whose ability to play the Soviet Commissar enabled the British to bluff their way past various Soviet forces they encountered. A double for Bormann was discovered in Canada and taken on the mission, to be sacrificed so that his body would be taken for Bormann's. Ribbentrop pulled out of the adventure, Bormann was rescued and taken to Britain where he later died.
Bormann was the adminstrator of Operation Regentroepfchen, the evacuation of Reich gold, money and treasure to Argentina, and the size of this fortune evidenced by the few documents released from Argentine official archives is mind boggling. If Bormann survived and escaped, it was to Argentina that he came.
Postwar Nazi money laundering through bogus land deals was administered from San Carlos de Bariloche in Neuquen province. In the early 1960s there were reports in the local and foreign Press of a grave in the cemetery at Bariloche, allegedly that of Martin Bormann, having been visited by officials of the German Embassy, after which it vanished. http://forum.axishistory.com/viewtopic.php?f=45&t;=40911&start;=15

Im Herbst startet die vierte Staffel The Voice of Germany mit einer noch nie dagewesenen Coach-Besetzung: Neben Smudo und Michi Beck von den Fantastischen 4, Heimkehrer Rea Garvey und Sunrise Avenue-Frontmann Samu Haber, wird nun auch Silbermond-Frontfrau Stefanie Kloß auf einem der roten Drehstühle Platz nehmen. „Ich freue mich auf die Zusammenarbeit mit Smudo, Michi, Samu und Rea. Nena hat ihre Rolle als Coach großartig umgesetzt und ich werde versuchen, das Coaching-Team bestmöglich zu verstärken.“ Als einzige Frau ihrer Band, besitzt Stefanie bestimmt auch den nötigen Biss, um sich gegenüber ihren männlichen Coach-Kollegen zu behaupten.
"Unfuckingfassbar!" - Nachdem Rea Garvey letztes Jahr pausiert hatte, um sein neues Album "Pride" zu produzieren, wird er sich in der kommenden Staffel wieder in den Coach-Sessel schwingen und für seine Favoriten buzzern. "The Voice of Germany ist die wichtigste Musikshow im deutschen Fernsehen und ich freue mich, wieder nach Hause zu kommen!"
Auch Sunrise Avenue-Frontmann, Samu Haber bleibt The Voice of Germany erhalten. The BossHoss hingegen werden in dieser Staffel erstmalig nicht dabei sein. Für die Cowboys und deren roten Doppelstuhl wurde aber ein würdiger Ersatz gefunden: Mit Smudo und Michi Beck von den Fantastischen Vier , konnte sich The Voice of Germany ein Stück deutsche Musikgeschichte sichern. Seit ihrem ersten Charterfolg "Die da?!" sind die Kult-Hip-Hopper nie richtig von der Bildfläche verschwunden. Stattdessen versorgten sie Deutschland weiterhin mit Hits wie: "TROY" oder "25".
