The First Battle of Fallujah, also known as Operation Vigilant Resolve, was an operation to root out extremist elements of Fallujah and an act of retaliation to, as well as an attempt to apprehend the perpetrators of, the killing of four U.S. contractors in April 2004.
The chief catalyst for the operation was the highly publicized killing and mutilation of four Blackwater USA private military contractors,and the killings of five American soldiers in Habbaniyah a few days earlier.
The battle polarized public opinion within Iraq.
The Second Battle of Fallujah—code-named Operation Al-Fajr and Operation Phantom Fury—was a joint American, Iraqi, and British offensive in November and December 2004, considered the highest point of conflict in Fallujah during the Iraq War. It was led by the U.S. Marine Corps against the Iraqi insurgency stronghold in the city of Fallujah and was authorized by the U.S.-appointed Iraqi Interim Government. The U.S. military called it "some of the heaviest urban combat U.S. Marines have been involved in since the Battle of Huế City in Vietnam in 1968.

United States Marine Corps Boot Camp, otherwise known as "Recruit Training" is a program of initial training that each recruit must successfully complete to join the United States Marine Corps.
Approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
Video includes recruits going through basic trainings: combat water survival, gas chamber, pugil stick fights, qualification with rifle, confidence course, rappel tower, and scenes in the barracks.

The automatic gun M242 Bushmaster 25 mm is used on this video against a target boat during a training. This cannon is manufactured since 1981 by McDonnell Douglas. The firm, now incorporated into Boeing has produced more than 10,000 to arm including the LAV-25 and the US Navy patrol boats. The ATK firm resumed production. Improved versions such Busmaster III are produced.
It's a double-loading cannon and remote control shooting. Ammunition caliber 25 × 137 mm are divided into two bands driven electrically. The tube itself has 18 stripes on the right. An electric motor (24 V) 1 HP handles the repetition of moves. The M242 has three firing rates: piecemeal, 100, 200 strokes per minute. The maximum range varies depending on the ammunition fired.
The MK38 is the naval version of the M242, it equip the US Navy, with nearly 4,000 copies in 2012. At that time, the MK38 Mod.3 into service. Its 30mm tube, integrated to any naval platform, the patrol boat to the aircraft carrier. Fully stabilized, it is lined with a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. His optronics pod incorporates referred day / night that allows both shooting that monitoring of surrounding waters or deck.

The automatic gun M242 Bushmaster 25 mm is used on this video against a target boat during a training. This cannon is manufactured since 1981 by McDonnell Douglas. The firm, now incorporated into Boeing has produced more than 10,000 to arm including the LAV-25 and the US Navy patrol boats. The ATK firm resumed production. Improved versions such Busmaster III are produced. It's a double-loading cannon and remote control shooting. Ammunition caliber 25 × 137 mm are divided into two bands driven electrically. The tube itself has 18 stripes on the right. An electric motor (24 V) 1 HP handles the repetition of moves. The M242 has three firing rates: piecemeal, 100, 200 strokes per minute. The automatic gun M242 Bushmaster 25 mm is used on this video against a target boat during a training. This cannon is manufactured since 1981 by McDonnell Douglas. The firm, now incorporated into Boeing has produced more than 10,000 to arm including the LAV-25 and the US Navy patrol boats. The ATK firm resumed production. Improved versions such Busmaster III are produced.
It's a double-loading cannon and remote control shooting. Ammunition caliber 25 × 137 mm are divided into two bands driven electrically. The tube itself has 18 stripes on the right. An electric motor (24 V) 1 HP handles the repetition of moves. The M242 has three firing rates: piecemeal, 100, 200 strokes per minute. The maximum range varies depending on the ammunition fired.
The MK38 is the naval version of the M242, it equip the US Navy, with nearly 4,000 copies in 2012. At that time, the MK38 Mod.3 into service. Its 30mm tube, integrated to any naval platform, the patrol boat to the aircraft carrier. Fully stabilized, it is lined with a 7.62 mm coaxial machine gun. His optronics pod incorporates referred day / night that allows both shooting that monitoring of surrounding waters or deck.

Transcript - One of the things we know about motivation is that we’re able to trigger those parts of our neurology that are related to motivating us when we feel in control. And very frequently this comes from making a choice: something that allows us to assert ourselves into a situation. One of the most fascinating examples of this is how the Marine Corps revamped basic training. So about 15 years ago the Marine Corps found it was having this problem: they were getting a bunch of recruits that were coming in who were completely unpracticed at self-motivation. They essentially had never learned the skills of this. Now for the Marine Corps this is a real problem because the Marines are kind of different from other branches of the military. They’re usually the first in and the last to leave. And so what they need is they need real self-starters, people who know how to take the initiative, but the recruits that are coming through the door at boot camp were just completely unpracticed at this. Charles Krulak, who is the head of the Marine Corps, told me that a lot of these recruits had never been on sports teams, they had never learned how to assert themselves, they had never practiced self-motivation. So Krulak looked at the literature and he found that there were a bunch of studies that said the most effective Marines are ones who have learned an internal locus of control. We all have an internal or external locus of control and what that means is it’s how we see the world whether we believe that we have the ability to assert ourselves and control our destinies or whether we believe that the things that happen around us determine whether we’re successful or not. Krulak wanted to teach his recruits how to have an internal locus of control, what in the Marines they call a bias towards action, and so he redesigned root boot camp completely. Now when recruits enter boot camp, instead of learning discipline and learning how to follow orders, which is how most of us think about it (that’s the cliché), instead they’re trained on making decision after decision after decision: taking control and serving themselves in ways that maybe they didn’t even expect they would need to. At the end of boot camp is this thing called the crucible. It’s a 56 hour obstacle course that every recruit has to complete in order to become a Marine. And during the crucible what’s really interesting is some of the obstacles can only be completed if you kind of disobey the orders you’re hearing. One of my favorites is this thing called Sergeant Timmerman’s Tank where you have to use these ropes and logs to move across this big sand pit.

Marines firefight with taliban near Bari Gul Bazaar, Afghanistan. Footage of U.S Marines with Bravo Company, 1st Battalion, 9th Marines launched an interdiction operation near the Bari Gul Bazaar in Nad Ali Disctrict, Helmand province, Afghanistan, Dec. 4, 2013. Approximately 96 Marines, Sailors and Afghan personnel engaged Taliban forces during the 14-hour operation, which included nearly four hours of sustained combat with insurgents in and around the bazaar. The operation, Apache Snow II, was designed to deny Taliban forces free movement in the area and strike against their ability to gather armaments.

The Ultra Heavy-Lift Amphibious Connector (UHAC) begins to rotate on the beach, July 9, at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows on Oahu, Hawaii during a Marine Corps Advanced Warfighting Experiment. The AWE is the culmination of a decade of progressive experimentation conducted by the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL) where they are testing potential future technologies, solutions and concepts to future Marine Air Ground Task Force challenges. The AWE is taking part during the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Lt. Col. Like the US Army, the Marines uniform, weapons, and equipment evolved during the early years of the 1900s. During WW1, the US Military feared gas attacks from the Axis Powers. Many soldiers and Marines were issued gas masks that were intended for work use in mines. In addition, the war also developed the use of blunt weapon objects that both the Allies and Axis used against each other. It's the main infantry weapon in United States Marines, and is often used by many elite police units such as SWAT . The M4A1 often plays an important role in various combat operations , having been designed for combat in confined spaces , mobile crews and air units, paratroopers and special military operations.
This is a carbine version of the assault rifle M-16 , which uses 5.56 x 45 mm NATO ammunition with a charger of 30 cartridges . It"s more maneuverable in close combat, being more compact and agile due to its size. In comparison, the barrel and forearm are shorter and the butt is telescopic. With his boot filled weighs 3.1 kg. Making it ideal for combat CQB or urban combat .The M4 is the modern successor of the CAR-15 , which was then officially renamed XM117.

The Ultra Heavy-Lift Amphibious Connector (UHAC) begins to rotate on the beach, July 9, at Marine Corps Training Area Bellows on Oahu, Hawaii during a Marine Corps Advanced Warfighting Experiment. The AWE is the culmination of a decade of progressive experimentation conducted by the Marine Corps Warfighting Lab (MCWL) where they are testing potential future technologies, solutions and concepts to future Marine Air Ground Task Force challenges. The AWE is taking part during the Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) Exercise 2014. Lt. Col. Don Gordon, the current technology officer at MCWL, said the UHAC is one of those experimental technologies that displays a possible capability of being able to insert Marines in areas where current technology wouldn't be able to insert them based on current systems that are fielded. The UHAC prototype is a ship-to-shore connector and is half the size of the intended machine. US Marines Uniforms, Weapons, and Equipment Pre-World War 1 and World War 1. Like the US Army, the Marines uniform, weapons, and equipment evolved during the early years of the 1900s.
During WW1, the US Military feared gas attacks from the Axis Powers. Many soldiers and Marines were issued gas masks that were intended for work use in mines.
In addition, the war also developed the use of blunt weapon objects that both the Allies and Axis used against each other.
The weapons displayed are the Springfield 1903 rifle in .30-06, American Enfield rifle in .30-06, 1911 handgun in .45 caliber ACP, 1897 Winchester shotgun in 12 gauge, and the Colt 1901 in .38 caliber.
Special thanks to "Tinfoil Hat Man" for presenting his display of the Uniforms, Weapons, and Equipment of the US Marines Pre-World War 1 and during World War 1.
