Plot: On the wee hours of a December morning, the ring of a telephone shatters the quietness of the Sen household. Anuradha, Who answers the call, is stunned to hear the caller on the other side of the line. Her husband had met with a fatal accident in Thailand and had sunk into coma and she needed to take the next available flight and reach the hospital. Both Anuradha and Sohini's world are shattered. Both the Mrs. Sen did not know how to address this crisis that they had never imagined in their wildest dreams. Somnath's body is cremated and Anuradha wants to carry the ashes to India, to Somnath's father for the last rights. Sohini does not object, as she is about to set for the Airport, Sohini faints. The doctor is called and he asks Anuradha to admit Sohini to the Hospital once more. In the Hospital, Sohini is diagnosed as having her internal organs damaged and internal bleeding happening. Doctor's however clearly mention that it was only days before Sohini would actually die. When Sohini comes to know of this she decides that she wants to spend her remaining days in the confines of her house. In the house a strange bond forms between both the Mrs. Sens. Before dying Sohini hands her son to Anuradha and says that her last wish was to spread her ashes in the himlayas along with Somnath, and she could peacefully die as she knew Anuradha would take good care of her son. It is the last day of the year when Sohini breathes her last.

Plot: Gopal, Lucky, Madhav and Laxman - four guys bound together by their child-like notoriety, aimlessness and petty business of conning people for fun and money. Laxman is an intelligent student who is not allowed to pass by his mischievous band of friends Gopal, Madhav and mute Lucky. This is because all four friends use his hostel room to conduct their activities. He is peer-pressured into running a series of scams in order to earn himself and his friends some money. Once thrown out of college bag-n-baggage, the naughty foursome finds refuge in the bungalow of a blind couple as their grandson. A cat mouse game unfolds as Laxman's body and Gopal's voice makes for Sameer (The grandson from US). Each time the blinded Dadaji comes amidst them, hilarious situations arise Enter Nirali with a bath towel and the group now have time, place and 'resources' to fall in love. Their individual efforts at winning the lady's heart, fail, resulting in rib tickling comic scenes. Apart from their amorous interests, there is a quest for hidden treasure in the old couple's house. For, there is also a gangster in this story by the name of Babli who has his own story to tell.

Plot: Somnath (Somu) lives in a shanty house in a Delhi slum with his widowed mom, and unmarried sister, Sarla. He is friendly with Calcutta-based wealthy Vikram (Vicky) Maharaj. When Vicky's dad, Damodar, has a heart attack and is advised to take bed-rest for two months, Vicky fills in his father's shoes, has a confrontation with a senior employee and union leader, Bipinlal Pandey, which results in a strike. His father intervenes, asks Vicky to apologize to Bipinlal, which Vicky does, and everything returns to normal. Vicky confides about his humiliation with Somu, and both conspire to teach Bipinlal a lesson. As a result, Somu accompanies Vicky to Calcutta, gets a job as a laborer in his mill, befriends his fellow-workers, gets some monetary relief to injured workers, amongst other benefits, is elected as the union leader replacing Bipinlal. With Somu as the union leader and Vicky as the boss there is no stopping these two - until Damodar finds out and decides to put a stop to Vicky being influenced by Somu's middle-class ideas and ideals. Damodar starts a chain of events that get out of control, events that may well see the death of one of the friends at the hands of the other. Will Vicky's and Somu's friendship see them through or will it also be a casualty?
