After my first year of bicycling to and from work after dark wearing chainmail I have decided to show off some of my gear. I normally take a 4 month vacation from bicycling to work from January- April in order to avoid the heavy snow falls and then the heavy spring rains. And now this year after just a few days of bicycling to and from work after dark the rich kids are yelling at me again from their cars. So I recently decided to order off of ebay a new weapons package for this year. $128 I spent on a cold steel brand buckler shield, a viper tech taser, a bull whip, 3 cans of mace and 6 steel rings with spike tips. I ordered the rings from China so that will take a while to get it. Now instead of wearing chain mail gloves I wear fillet knife gloves which I probably need to buy a better pair of. Normally I wear double chainmail shirts but in this video I am wearing just the minimal amount of chain mail. Last year I was sometimes wearing up to 2 chainmail shirts and one 40 pd weight vest weighing in at 298pds to see how much weight my tires could take. This $120 cruiser bicycle I am using right now has lasted me for more than 3,000 miles. I have more of the same bicycles sitting in reserve and more of the same chainmail in reserve available at home. I have 2 shirts 2 pairs of leggings 2 coifs and a pair of chain mail gloves altogether. The gloves are good for dogs and for ultra knife hand protection. All the weapons I carry are street legal and I like to keep it all well concealed while riding. I just got this new red back pack out of the trash a doctor was throwing away for free so I don't know how to deploy my weapons from it yet effectively. Basically the idea is that you would have to throw something big enough to kill somebody or shoot something powerful enough to kill somebody in order to hurt me while bicycling in chainmail so what happens is people basically just decide to leave me alone when I bicycle in chainmail. Whenever the police stops me I am always friendly and happy to show off all of my gear. I am very proud of it. I got my monies worth I think and it does work pretty well at keeping me protected from cars. I not only wear chainmail to protect myself from cars but also as a means to rapidly burn calories for physical fitness purposes.As I upgrade my armor this year you will surely see in my future videos a dramatic weight loss followed by a much stronger slimmer looking physique. Wearing double chainmail shirts while bicycling 28 miles a day and then walking around all night doing janitorial work wearing chainmail makes for an outstanding workout which does not cause me to break a sweat really but does burn a lot of calories fast and it is very comfortable to wear far more comfortable to wear than a 40 pound weight vest. Chainmail hugs around the body over every lump and curve evenly as possible distributing the weight across the body gently without putting too much weight on any one point disproportionately like a 40 pound or any pound weight vest does.Wearing heavy layers of mail actually feels like a heavy metal massage. The weighted rings rub comfortably against the body as long as your wearing something as thick as a sweater underneath it. Doing sets of pushups ranging from a few hundred a day at first and then rapidly going up to 500 or more a day throughout the day while doing some wearing mail and some or most not wearing mail is another thing I do to rapidly get back into shape. The 29 inch tire Walmart bicycle I am using can easily handle up to 300 pounds riding over rough terrain. Going beyond that I think you could still load up to 330 or maybe even 380 pounds on the 29 inch tires. My chainmail is all zinc coated steel. It does rust stain a little after getting wet hundreds of times so whatever clothing you wear underneath it will get dirty. I paid $110 for my chainmail shirt and coif set and $80 for my leggings on ebay. I use ace knee straps but you can buy a cheaper version of them from China on ebay and I use steel plated motorcycle knee and elbow pads I paid $40 for on ebay. Strapping down the leggings at least as well as I do is very important. You cannot get around wearing leggings if you don't strap them down. The total weight of my back pack in this video was 67 pounds.My bicycle weighs 38 pounds.It costs $1 a week to power my bicycle lights for around 2 1/2 hrs a day. I use the Sunbeam brand batteries from the Dollar tree. You get 8 for a dollar. They last a pretty long time for cheap batteries.I do not recommend that you buy rechargeable batteries or rechargeable lights. Such equipment tends to cost a lot of money and does not hold up very well against thunderstorms. I normally put tape over my side lights whenever riding into severe thunderstorms.I still have to replace around 2-3 lights a year due to rain. I use anti glass strips in my tires and I only have around 3-5 flat tires per year. I use cheap $20 mountain bike tires which I replace once per year.
