Juillet / Septembre 1995 .

In this episode we're covering the Crossbow.
It's a single shot weapon, unlocked at level 33.
The Crossbow is an ancient weapon, originating in its most basic form in South East Asia, today part of China.
The earliest examples date to around 600 BC.
The Chinese crossbows, or nu, were an important part of early warfare - with advanced designs such as the repeating crossbow, or 'chu-ko-nu' providing the ability to fire multiple bolts in a quick succession.
The crossbow's history in Europe can be traced to ancient Greece: the 'Gastraphetes', translating as 'belly-releaser' first appeared in the 5th century BC.
Perhaps the most prolific use of crossbows in combat was during the Medieval era - while longbows were the ranged mainstay of many armies, the ease of use and devastating power of the crossbow earned quite a reputation.
The introduction of the firearm saw the crossbow's demise: ultimately easier to use, faster to reload, and providing a higher degree of lethality at longer ranges.
Crossbows do retain some usefulness in modern warfare, however - the near-silent twang of a launched bolt useful for covert roles and assassinations.
Their ability to carry unusual payloads also makes them valuable - whether zip-lines or poison tips, the humble crossbow can do many things a conventional weapon cannot.
The Crossbow in Black Ops fires explosive bolts, with the weapon holding only a single bolt before requiring a reload.
By default, you'll spawn with 2 bolts - one ready to fire, and one in reserve.
Scavenger Pro will extend your initial supply to the maximum of 5 bolts total.
The crossbow can deal damage in two ways - upon impact, or through its explosive blast radius.
Impact damage is insufficient to kill outright in Core - you would need to strike your opponent with 2 bolts in order to kill them.
However, thanks to the explosive element, a single successful stick will inevitably kill your victim - as they'll have no way to escape the blast radius.
Explosive damage is high, meaning those caught in the blast will usually be killed outright, unless they're using Flak Jacket.
The explosion's range of effect is very small, however - only dealing damage within a 4 metre radius.
Rate of fire is very slow, as you'll need to reload for every shot fired.
This equates to about 20 rounds per minute, or 40 if you're using Sleight of Hand to speed up the process.
Recoil is simply not a factor with the crossbow's rate of fire - instead, it's the parabolic arc the bolt follows that affects your aim the most.
At longer distances, you'll need to aim above your target to hit - the bolt travels faster and straighter than the Ballistic Knife, but the drop will need to be accounted for, else your payload will fall short.
The crossbow takes 250 milliseconds to aim - as quick as an assault rifle, and nimble enough for most needs.
Reloads are frequent and quite slow - 2.75 seconds between shots will leave you very vulnerable in a close-quarters battle.
While the projectile follows a relatively straight path, when shooting over long distances you'll need to aim a couple of metres above your target - precision will come with practice.
Moving targets are more challenging - to strike an opponent moving across your field of view, you will need to aim ahead of them, by a degree relative to their speed and distance away.
One way to enhance explosive performance is to deliberately target explosive scenery - cars, jeeps and barrels can all be detonated with a bolt, and will massively expand your potential kill radius.
This is much safer than attempting to land a stick on a moving target - all too often, your bolt will sail harmlessly past them, giving them the time to take you out whilst you reload.
The Crossbow is a challenging but rewarding weapon to use, and one that fulfils a niche role unlike any other.
Once you've mastered the arc of the projectile, it's possible to stick even distant foes who aren't on the move - and every stick is a reliable kill.
It works well as a support weapon, and can help extend the reach of close-range weapons such as SMGs and shotguns.
Up close, however, the weapon becomes a liability - a painfully slow rate of fire and a long fuse will often leave you vulnerable.
The fact that you must account for the arc of the projectile and its slow travel time also complicates things, and moving targets will become difficult to hit at any sort of distance.
The weapon falls into a very specific role, then - ideal for tackling static enemies, or for use as an area denial weapon with its explosive potential.
While it might not be as versatile as an assault rifle, the crossbow is very satisfying to use.
A well placed shot is its own reward, and the moment of panic when a bolt successfully lands - will certainly stick with your opponent.

Investors in Silicon Valley, like Somesh Dash, are looking at Atlanta more seriously.
"The DNA of the city for me has always been one of disruption, one of kind of questioning the status quo. You feel it when you walk around and you visit the historic sites and you're on campuses like Georgia Tech and others," he says.
Dash was named to the board of directors of Atlanta-based fraud detection company Pindrop Security earlier this year. His firm, Institutional Venture Partners, helped Pindrop raise $35 million so it can operate globally.

A cigar box guitar tutorial was the first project video of this kind I ever filmed. That was 4 years ago. I've always wanted to build a fretted version from the ground up, and for this video I finally got around to it. I hope you enjoy! The goal I set for the design was to use only tools and materials that can be purchased at a local hardware store, other than a cigar box and guitar strings.
Below are the parts and tools used for this project. I occasionally overlook an item in a video this long so let me know if you notice anything missing from the lists. If you try this project be sure to let me know! I would love to see a video of your own cigar box guitars.
Tools:
-----------------------------------------------------
Tape Measure
Pen/Pencil
Hand Saw
Hammer(Mallet)/Chisel
Drill w/Bits
Sand Paper/Sanding Block
Fine Grain File
Gel Super Glue
Tape
Razor
Paste Wax (optional)
Materials:
-----------------------------------------------------
1” x 3” Maple Plank (must not be warped)
Wood Cigar Box
1 1/2” Inside Corner Brace (x3)
4” Eye Bolts/Nuts (x3)
Door Hinge Pin
Fencing Staples
1 1/2” Finish Nails (x12)
#18 x 5/8” Pins (x4)
Acoustic Guitar Strings
Total build time should be around 8 hours, so the project can fit comfortably into a weekend. The cost of the materials not including any of the tools is about $35. Not bad for a guitar! I suspect I am going to receive quite a few comments saying I should have used wing nuts on the tuners so a wrench wouldn't be required, and that was initially my plan. The bolts are a little too close together on my model for wing nuts to spin without hitting each other, but feel free to try it yourself.
If you would like to build a guitar with a different scale length than 24" you can use this website to calculate fret measurements: http://www.harpkit.com/category/fretcalc.html
The first song I play in this video is 'Prelude to Cello Suite No.1' by Bach. The later songs are improvised blues. I was in drop D tuning.
I also want to give a shout out to one of my favorite song covers played on a frettless Cigar Box Guitar, check this out if you want to see how well a CBG can be played: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iIIEhH7xOXg

Norwegian Cruise Line offers a hybrid cruising experience, mixing traditional elements with innovative features, amenities and ambience. Decor is colorful, fun and occasionally loud, especially on newer ships. The dress code is flexible and very casual. It's not unusual to see T-shirt-clad passengers dining among their more dressed up shipmates. (Tuxedos are rare.)
All NCL ships have multiple dining venues, ranging from French bistros to steakhouses and sushi bars. Room service is available around the clock. Specialty dining generally comes with a $10 to $25 cover charge and/or a la carte menus ranging from $8 to $25. All specialty dining venues require reservations. Another don't-miss is NCL's signature Chocoholic's Buffet, held once per cruise on each ship. It's a magnificent sight to behold.
In addition to eateries, the ships also have multiple bars and lounges. Norwegian is serious about entertainment, and offers exuberant musical productions (including Broadway and off-Broadway shows), comedy from Second City, live bands, lounge singers, piano bars and D.J.'s in the discos. The casinos are a good size and offer the expected games. The requisite libraries, game rooms, shuffleboard, Ping-Pong, art auctions, perfume seminars, gaming lessons and port talks are available every day. Steiner-run Mandara Spas offer luxe treatments at luxe prices, with recent additions of teeth whitening and acupuncture sessions, as well as Botox by visiting onboard doctors. All have fitness centers.
Well-trained counselors staff the children's programs; age-appropriate offerings range from parties and video arcades to kid-friendly learning sessions. The Guppies program offers sensory-based interaction for parents with children six months to three years. There are teen centers, discos and kids' pools, too. The newer ships in the NCL fleet are particularly welcoming to children, and although standard cabins run substantially smaller -- at an average of 160 square feet -- than those on other new vessels, Norwegian does boast a large number of adjoining cabins and family-centric suites.
About Norwegian Cruise Line
============================
Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line (Norwegian or NCL) is notable for revolutionizing the cruise experience via its "Freestyle Cruising" philosophy. Eschewing traditional cruise line stuffiness -- in dress codes, dining options and even entertainment offerings -- Norwegian has inspired other lines to copy its more successful "freestyle" concepts. Norwegian has also carved itself a niche in the homeland cruising specialty, featuring departures from a number of continental U.S. homeports that include New York, Seattle, New Orleans, Boston and Tampa, among others.
Aiming to operate the cruise industry's youngest fleet, the line is currently focused on ridding itself of pre-Freestyle-designed ships. As such, Norwegian Dream sailed its last cruise with Norwegian on October 26, 2008, and Norwegian Majesty left the fleet for Cyprus-based Louis Cruise Lines in 2009. The line did reverse its plans in one instance: Pride of Aloha, which finished its Hawaiian itineraries in spring 2008, has stayed on with the cruise line and now sails under its original name, Norwegian Sky.
On its newest ships, Norwegian Cruise Line offers a number of amenities -- like luxury villas, martini and Champagne bars, interconnecting cabins, onboard bowling alleys and electronic restaurant reservation systems -- that are reminiscent of land-based resorts. Another distinction is NCL's revolutionary (for mass-market cruising) disembarkation policy, which is so relaxed that it is more resort-like than cruise-like. Norwegian Epic, part of the embattled F3 project, debuted in June 2010, and took freestyle cruising to the next level.
The first of its Breakaway Class vessels -- Norwegian Breakaway -- launched in April 2013; a sister ship Norwegian Getaway will launch in January 2014. Norwegian has two more new-builds on the docket as part of the "Project Breakaway" initiative. The 163,000-ton, 4,200-passenger ships will debut in October 2015 and spring 2017.
In addition, NCL is the only cruise line to offer year-round Hawaiian itineraries. At present, the NCL America fleet, which formerly consisted of three ships, has been significantly downsized; only Pride of America remains in Hawaii.
Norwegian Cruise Line is also known as an aggressive discounter, and past initiatives have included $99 kids' fares, cruises for $25 a night before taxes, and complimentary onboard credit.

What is medical tourism?
Medical tourism is the direct product of the widespread globalization of healthcare. The increased integration of global economies and cultures has resulted in the extensive circulation of products and services between countries. Several industries, including the healthcare sector, have expanded their horizons to benefit from the global market. This in turn, has created a niche segment of the healthcare industry where patients travel across the globe to avail healthcare and medical services.
'Medical tourism' is a term interchangeable with Global healthcare, Medical travel, Healthcare travel and Health tourism. However, each of these terms can be used to define specific segments of the global healthcare industry. The definitions in the next section should help clear out the confusing terminology.
Medical tourism can also be referred to as the growing global industry of healthcare providers, doctors, clinics and hospitals who are marketing themselves to overseas patients. Medical tourism provides a range of healthcare benefits and options to individuals which will be highlighted later on in this chapter.
The medical tourism sector is rapidly developing and is changing the way people, insurance companies and governments look at healthcare options for its citizens. The growth of the industry will increasingly have an impact on individuals and healthcare budgets as governments, health insurance companies and individuals continue to explore different ways to access high quality, low cost treatment.
Popular elective medical services include knee or hip joint replacements, cardiac surgery, cosmetic surgery and dental surgery. Patients in need of emergency procedures are also attracted to this concept as certain countries have long waiting times for certain medical services, while medical tourism destinations provide quality healthcare and eliminate availability issues. To read more details on common medical tourism procedures, we encourage you to read the 'Medical tourism procedure' guidebook which provides all the information a patient would need.
Medical tourism fills a valuable niche that is desperately needed in countries with bureaucratically flawed or unaffordable healthcare. This industry looks set to expand at an escalating pace over the next decade as more and more people begin to trust the quality and see the advantages of having their surgery performed in developing countries that provide quality healthcare.
This chapter explains what medical tourism is in all its different manifestations and the advantages and disadvantages of travelling abroad for medical treatment.

In Episode 13 of Hangout Madness, we get to interview Neil Inscoe, the financial professional that "Fell Backwards" into a niche of only working with Physicians.
Neil has an incredible story of attending a 36 year old physician's workshop who was discussing transition planning for doctors. This young 36 year old doctor owned 9 other medical practices that he started all from using equity out of a cash value life insurance policy that his family started for him at a young age.
But what Neil quickly realized was that this young doctor was an expert at the "transition piece", yet he needed quite a bit of help educating the doctors on the estate and tax implications of the transition.
So Neil stepped in and the duo began doing workshops together where the 36 year old doctor spoke about the transition, while Neil educated their viewers on all things financial.
Over the last couple of years, Neil learned so much about the business transition business, that he now has an entire company helping doctors and small business owners do transition planning.

Created in collaboration with Amole Gupte, this movie is the story of the "Idiot", Bugs. Bugs, in the movie, is the affable, run-of-the-mill neighborhood "uncle ji" who, by the looks of it, does nothing in life and lives a frugal life. Wearing rubber chappals and debating with the vegetable vendor on the price of grocery, he is the laughing stock of the teenagers, as well as most other residents in the building. Through the movie, however, slowly, the real worth of this "Idiot" emerges, and the teenagers realise that they can, indeed, learn a lot from this multi-millionaire.

Asking the right questions is important, but so is knowing what the answers mean. The terms "financial planner", "financial advisor", and "financial planning" are not protected by any type of regulation, so every professional has their own interpretation of what it means to be a financial services provider. Some financial advisors are not advisors at all, but merely salesmen using the term "advisor" to fool their customers into thinking they are clients. Others may only provide investment management, insurance products, or another singular focused service.
What questions should you ask when interviewing a financial planner?
NAPFA, the largest national organization of fee-only financial planners, has put together a wonderful guide with 26 questions to ask every financial advisor you interview.
