While Jackie is cooking dinner with Mickey, Rose goes for a walk. Nowhere in particular, she just had to walk. She remembers the last time she saw her Doctor. Remembers that it was her fault he's not here. Its only an accident that she sees it, a brief turn of the head. At first she thinks it must be the new Doctor's, he's parked it somewhere to get ready. But then her eyes linger, there's something different. Then he steps out, Rose is frozen as he starts to walk away, then she runs. He's stood waiting for her, a smile and a silly hello. Rose cries. He tries to tell her its alright, but how can it be alright when he's not with her? And he's being so cruel, not understanding at all. "Have you been following me?" "It's alright." "Oh really?" "Yes." Now that she thought about it, hadn't he disappeared when they had been travelling? Then she'd seen him when he shouldn't have been there. He'd just stood staring, then walked away. And he never knew what she meant. They talk, for a long time, about some silly thing, some important. Some make her cry; some make her laugh. Then the end comes, their moment cannot last together. Rose closes her eyes. No. She isn't ready yet. This can't be over yet. "Go to him. Quick." And Rose does. She runs, as fast as she can. Because... she knows now. They're not that different. The things they do, she can see it now. And the way he loves her, and the way she loves him. It's the same. It seemed quite sudden for me, and sort of fickle of Rose. Then I was thinking about the line "But he's not you" then I thought about her meeting 9.
