Some of the oldest evidence for anatomically modern humans has been found in Ethiopia, which is widely considered the region from which Homo sapiens first set out for the Middle East and points beyond. According to linguists, the first Afroasiatic-speaking populations settled in the Horn region during the ensuing Neolithic era. Tracing its roots to the 2nd millennium BC, Ethiopia was a monarchy for most of its history. During the first centuries AD the Kingdom of Aksum maintained a unified civilization in the region. followed by Abyssinia circa 1137.

Industrial park
An industrial park (also known as industrial estate, trading estate) is an area zoned and planned for the purpose of industrial development. An industrial park can be thought of as a more "heavyweight" version of a business park or office park, which has offices and light industry, rather than heavy industry.
Benefits
Industrial parks are usually located on the edges of, or outside the main residential area of a city, and normally provided with good transportation access, including road and rail. One such example would be the large number of industrial estates located along the River Thames in the Thames Gateway area of London. Industrial parks are usually located close to transport facilities, especially where more than one transport modes coincide, including highways, railroads, airports and ports.

Dega Stefanos is located in the centre of the lake and contains one of the country’s most important monasteries. On the summit, framed by walls and hidden under great trees, is the Holy Stefanos Monastery and within a small sanctuary various mummies are preserved within glazed wooden coffins and the remains of five emperors of various dynasties lie at rest. Awash is a settlement on the edge of the nature park of the same name, inhabited by the Afar, a proud and independent tribe. On market day, people from the surrounding area meet here. For the Afar, life is hard and only the strong survive. Corn, tobacco, dates and cotton are the main trading products of this region. Dromedaries, sheep and goats are bred, and pastureland is often the subject of heated disputes. A journey through Ethiopia is also a journey through time itself. A land of rich traditions, religions and myths. A country of legends and contrast that possesses one of the most colourful histories on the African continent.

Abyssinia is a mysterious country located in the mountains of Africa which today is known as Ethiopia, the cradle of early Christianity and a unique land of biblical stories and myths. Historic Aksum, in northern Ethiopia, was once the capital of a powerful kingdom. On the site of two previous religious buildings, its ancient cathedral was rebuilt in 1665. Thrones constructed of stone have witnessed the coronation of various monarchs whose Ethiopian Orthodox faith, from the fifth century, spread far and wide. From the Eastern Roman Empire, fleeing missionaries known as Monophysites introduced the ancient Christian faith which taught that Christ had only one divine nature. Eventually the concept of a division of faith came into being and Ethiopian Christianity developed independently and Aksum became a sacred city. Aksum is also referred to as ‘Ethiopian Rome’ and is the capital of the oldest Christian kingdom in the world, the largest outside the Roman Empire. In the north, the large water basins of May Shum are known as The Baths Of The Queen Of Saba. They date back to Aksumitic times and have been frequently renovated. A huge cistern supplies much of the population with water and on a hill above the town are the underground grave chambers of King Kaleb and Gebre Masqal. Although little remains of the former capital of the Aksumitic kingdom, Ethiopia's holiest site, it continues to be a place of mystique and legend. Dawit The Third, a son of Emperor Iyasu, had his palace built in the north of Fasil Ghebbi, protected by a nine hundred metre long wall. The large ballroom was known as Singer Hall because within it contests were held that featured wandering minstrels, and Dawit played the harp. Today, the lion cages are empty but Hailie Selassie, the last emperor of Ethiopia, possessed one as a symbol of his origin as having been from the Tribe of Judah. Without a doubt, Gondar will forever evoke a special kind of nostalgia and a rich sense of history.

Moments of bliss overwhelms my core, as I take my senses to realign their radar to transcend through new destination, overwhelming my imagination to go beyond its impulses, forcing my mind to stay still, and allow my intuition to guide my being & strengthen its position…Travelling!!
As an avid traveler, addicted to the unknown, adventure, challenge, relaxation and at times inner quest. I tend to ponder on basic questions that can ease the itch to transform the feeling to contempt, not satisfaction. Furthermore the research, anticipation, journey, discovery and not just the destination fuels my passion and refuels my hunger to travel more.
I have tried to share MY Ethiopia, the experiences & beauty I have seen discovering it within. So the question is not whether you should see Ethiopia, but, where you should start from -
- Heading west to discover Ethiopia's uniqueness, ?
- North to experience the cradle of mankind, ?
- South to cross paths with rich human diversity or?
- East where nature gracefully co-habits with man?
How far do you want to travel? What risks are you willing to take? How intense and thrill seeking do you want the adventure to be? Who were you willing to share my travel time with? Is it a spiritual, physical, emotional or explorative quest? Are you on strict financial budget, or do you feel like splurging? What mode of transportation are you willing to take i.e. private, public, sharing?

Moments of bliss overwhelms my core, as I take my senses to realign their radar to transcend through new destination, overwhelming my imagination to go beyond its impulses, forcing my mind to stay still, and allow my intuition to guide my being & strengthen its position…Travelling!!
As an avid traveler, addicted to the unknown, adventure, challenge, relaxation and at times inner quest. I tend to ponder on basic questions that can ease the itch to transform the feeling to contempt, not satisfaction. Furthermore the research, anticipation, journey, discovery and not just the destination fuels my passion and refuels my hunger to travel more.
I have tried to share MY Ethiopia, the experiences & beauty I have seen discovering it within. So the question is not whether you should see Ethiopia, but, where you should start from -
- Heading west to discover Ethiopia's uniqueness, ?
- North to experience the cradle of mankind, ?
- South to cross paths with rich human diversity or?
- East where nature gracefully co-habits with man?
How far do you want to travel? What risks are you willing to take? How intense and thrill seeking do you want the adventure to be? Who were you willing to share my travel time with? Is it a spiritual, physical, emotional or explorative quest? Are you on strict financial budget, or do you feel like splurging? What mode of transportation are you willing to take i.e. private, public, sharing?

But with assistance from China and facilities like this, that could change. This is the Eastern Industrial Zone in Dukem, Ethiopia, spanning 4 square kilometres and designed to host 80 mega-factories. And by bringing Chinese companies to set up shop in Ethiopia, it’s paving the way for government to realize the area’s full investment potential.
