Fleeing refugees. Millions of people from the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, are fleeing the unrest in their homelands, and are looking for a better place to live. For example, since 2011, about one fifth of the population of Syria, over 4 million Syrians, have been uprooted because of a long civil war. More than 2 million are children. Many have fled to neighboring countries. But it’s not that easy, and no good deed goes unpunished. Turkey has taken in about 2 million people. What the old fashioned media doesn’t mention is that afterwards, Turkey’s economy, tourist industry, and infrastructure, suffered unimaginable losses and setbacks. The country of Lebanon has taken in over a million refugees. Amazing since Lebanon only had 4 million Lebanese people to begin with. But the old fashioned media never asks, how’s that worked out for you? So we asked, how has that worked out, and the Lebanese Social Affairs Minister, Derbas, said Lebanon’s infrastructure, which was projected to last a decade and a half, has been so worn out and damaged by increased use by refugees, that it will have to be completely rebuilt in less than two years. He also said that Lebanon is suffering enormous economic losses since refugees are using up natural resources, as well as an enormous amount of electricity, without any ability to pay for anything they consume. The already beleaguered people of Lebanon are stuck paying the bill for their new guests. Worse yet, a reported 500,000 tourists have cancelled plans to visit Lebanon, creating even more economic hardship and losses for the Lebanese people. Think about it. Then we visit with the sad people of Greece, already suffering from the worst economic crisis in Greece’s history. They are now being overrun by refugees as well. Today, new refugees joined the 13,000 refugees already on the Greek island of Lesvos. Many refugees reportedly grew impatient at what they perceived as the lack of welcoming, and the slow registration process, and began rioting, fighting, beating, destroying property, and throwing rocks at residents and the police. We were told by our European desk that the panicked mayor called for a state of emergency, as police tried to protect their Greek town, and had to resort to tear gas and flash grenades to regain control of the streets from the crazed and rampaging refugees. At the same time, refugees swarmed the country of Hungary as Hungarian officials seemed woefully overwhelmed. Refugees expressed anger for the Hungarians lack of ability to help them, and broke out of camps and destroyed property, as they forced their way through Hungary. Reportedly often chanting, roving groups of refugees refused to cooperate with the authorities of the country that they had trespassed into, and often refused food and water offered to them by police officers and civilians, pushing the food away with screams of “No food! No Hungary!” Hungarian prime minister vowed not to let Europeans become. Quote. a minority on our own continent. End quote. In the meanwhile, thousands and thousands of refugees continued marching on foot through Hungary towards Austria and Germany.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel announced she was opening the doors of her country to refugees, and Germany expects between 5 and 10 thousand refugees today alone, and some 800,000 refugees and migrants in total this year. We’ll ask, how’s that working out for you, in a follow up report. In contrast, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel started building a fence to protect itself from refugees and other illegal immigrants. Netanyahu said. Quote. We will not allow Israel to be submerged by a wave of illegal migrants and terrorist activists. End quote. Israel. Our only friend and ally in the Middle East. Full of really smart people. And the Israeli prime minister calls the refugees. quote. illegal migrants and terrorist activists. End quote. How very very interesting. Is Israel warning us that the refugees may include terrorists? If Israel isn’t willing to risk their country’s people, why are so many European leaders not taking their lead? Does Israel know something we don’t know about the potential terrorist tendencies and violent nature of some of these refugees? Think about it. Conspiracy Boulder News will return after this break.

Rare color film about the war in North Africa after the American landed in 1942 (Operation Torch). It describes the campaign to capture Tunisia by the Americans under General Clark approaching from the West and the British 8th Army commanded by Montgomery, pushing forward from the East.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
Operation Torch:
Operation Torch started on 8 November 1942, and finished on 11 November. In an attempt to pincer German and Italian forces, Allied forces (American and British Commonwealth), landed in Vichy-held French North Africa under the assumption that there would be little to no resistance. Nevertheless, Vichy French forces put up a strong and bloody resistance to Allied forces in Oran and Morocco, but not in Algiers, where a coup d'état by the French resistance on 8 November succeeded in neutralizing the French XIX Corps before the landing and arresting the Vichy commanders. Consequently, the landings met no practical opposition in Algiers, and the city was captured on the first day along with the entire Vichy African command. After three days of talks and threats, Generals Mark Clark and Dwight Eisenhower compelled the Vichy Admiral François Darlan (and General Alphonse Juin) to order the cessation of armed resistance in Oran and Morocco by French forces on 10–11 November with the proviso that Darlan would be head of a Free French administration. During Operation Torch, American, Vichy French and German navy vessels fought the Naval Battle of Casablanca, ending in a decisive American victory.
The Allied landings prompted the Axis occupation of Vichy France. In addition, the French fleet was captured at Toulon by the Italians, something which did them little good as the main portion of the fleet had been scuttled to prevent their use by the Axis. The Vichy army in North Africa joined the Allies.
Tunisian Campaign:
Following the Operation Torch landings, (from early November 1942), the Germans and Italians initiated a buildup of troops in Tunisia to fill the vacuum left by Vichy troops which had withdrawn. During this period of weakness, the Allies decided against a rapid advance into Tunisia while they wrestled with the Vichy authorities. Many of the Allied soldiers were tied up in garrison duties because of the uncertain status and intentions of the Vichy forces.
By mid-November, the Allies were able to advance into Tunisia but only in single division strength. By early December, the Eastern Task Force – which had been redesignated British First Army under Lieutenant-General Kenneth Anderson – was composed of British 78th Infantry Division, 6th Armoured Division, 1st Parachute Brigade, 6th Commando and elements of U.S. 1st Armored Division. But by this time, one German and five Italian divisions had been shipped from Europe and the remoteness of Allied airfields from the front line gave the Axis clear air superiority over the battlefield. The Allies were halted and pushed back having advanced eastwards to within 30 km (19 mi) of Tunis.
During the winter, there followed a period of stalemate during which time both sides continued to build up their forces. By the new year, the British First Army had one British, one U.S. and one French Corps (a second British Corps headquarters was activated in April). In the second half of February, in eastern Tunisia, Rommel and von Arnim had some successes against the mainly inexperienced French and U.S. corps, most notably in routing the U.S II Corps commanded by Major-General Lloyd Fredendall at the Battle of the Kasserine Pass.
By the beginning of March, the Eighth Army – advancing westward along the North African coast – had reached the Tunisian border. Rommel and von Arnim found themselves in an Allied "two army" pincer. They were outflanked, outmanned and outgunned. The British Eighth Army bypassed the Axis defence on the Mareth Line in late March and First Army in central Tunisia launched their main offensive in mid-April to squeeze the Axis forces until their resistance in Africa collapsed. The Axis forces surrendered on 13 May 1943 yielding over 275,000 prisoners of war. This huge loss of experienced troops greatly reduced the military capacity of the Axis powers, although the largest percentage of Axis troops escaped Tunisia. This defeat in Africa led to all Italian colonies in Africa being captured.

Rare color film about the war in North Africa after the American landed in 1942 (Operation Torch). It describes the campaign to capture Tunisia by the Americans under General Clark approaching from the West and the British 8th Army commanded by Montgomery, pushing forward from the East.
* * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
The severity of the refugee crisis between Europe and the Middle East/North Africa is certainly clear by the numbers, but is made even clearer when you see it from the point of view of one of the refugees. Cenk Uygur, Ben Mankiewicz (Turner Classic Movies), John Iadarola (Think Tank), and Jimmy Dore (The Jimmy Dore Show Podcast), hosts of the The Young Turks, break it down on tonight’s TYT Power Panel. Tell us what you think in the comment section below.
"Italy’s coastguard has successfully coordinated the rescue of about 3,000 migrants in the Mediterranean, after receiving distress calls from more than 20 overcrowded vessels drifting in waters off Libya.
One of the biggest single-day rescue operations to date appeared to have been concluded on Saturday without any reports of casualties.
Two navy ships, the Cigala Fulgosi and the Vega, picked up 507 and 432 migrants respectively from two wooden boats in danger of sinking just off Libya, said the navy.”*

It is a two-part documentary film about the military campaigns in North Africa during World War 2.
This part covers the Western Desert Campaign. It begins with the destruction of the French fleet in Oran in June 1940 and concludes with General Montgomery’s bitter battle for El Alamein in 1942.
Battle of North Africa | PART 1 | WW2 Documentary on the North African Campaign 1940-1942
About the North African Campaign:
During the Second World War, the North African Campaign took place in North Africa from 10 June 1940 to 13 May 1943. It included campaigns fought in the Libyan and Egyptian deserts (Western Desert Campaign, aka the Desert War) and in Morocco and Algeria (Operation Torch) and Tunisia (Tunisia Campaign).
The campaign was fought between the Allies and Axis powers, many of whom had colonial interests in Africa dating from the late 19th century. The United States entered the war in 1941 and began direct military assistance in North Africa on 11 May 1942.
Fighting in North Africa started with the Italian declaration of war on 10 June 1940. On 14 June, the British forces crossed the border from Egypt into Libya and captured the Italian Fort Capuzzo. This was followed by an Italian counteroffensive into Egypt and the capture of Sidi Barrani in September 1940 and then in December 1940 by a Commonwealth counteroffensive, Operation Compass. During Operation Compass, the Italian 10th Army was destroyed. Following the Italian failure, the German Afrika Korps - commanded by Erwin Rommel, aka the Desert Fox - was dispatched to North Africa during Operation Sonnenblume to reinforce Italian forces in order to prevent a complete Axis defeat. The Africa Korps contained some of Hitler's finest soldiers and newly designed battle tanks. In March 1941, Rommel attacked the Allies in Libya. By May 1941, they had been pushed back into Egypt and only Tobruk held out against Rommel.
A see-saw series of battles for control of Libya and parts of Egypt followed, reaching a climax in the Second Battle of El Alamein when British Commonwealth forces under the command of General Bernard Montgomery delivered a decisive defeat to the Axis forces and pushed them back to Tunisia. After the late 1942 Allied Operation Torch landings in North-West Africa, and subsequent battles against Vichy France forces (who then changed sides), the Allies finally encircled Axis forces in northern Tunisia and forced their surrender.
Operation Torch in November 1942 was a compromise operation that met the British objective of securing victory in North Africa while allowing American armed forces the opportunity to engage in the fight against Nazi Germany on a limited scale. In addition, as Josef Stalin had long been demanding a second front be opened to engage the Wehrmacht and relieve pressure on the Soviet armies.
Victory for the Allies in this campaign immediately led to the Allied invasion of Sycily (Italian Campaign), which culminated in the downfall of the fascist government in Italy and the elimination of a German ally.
About the Second Battle of El Alamein:
The Second Battle of El Alamein (23 October – 11 November 1942) took place near the Egyptian coastal city of El Alamein. With the Allies victorious, it marked a major turning point in the Western Desert Campaign of the Second World War. It followed the First Battle of El Alamein, which had stalled the Axis advance into Egypt, after which, in August 1942, General Bernard Montgomery had taken command of the British Eighth Army, aka the Desert Rats. `Monty` took time to consolidate his forces and by October 1942 he had 230,000 men and 1400 tanks whereas Rommel had 80,000 men and 500 tanks. The Battle of El Alamein started on October 23rd 1942 with a massive bombardment of German lines by 800 big guns. This was followed by bombing by planes before the tanks were sent into battle. Rommel was forced to retreat under this devastating assault. This time he was not given the time to re-group his force as the Allies did not give him the time to do so. This victory turned the tide in the North African Campaign and ended the Axis threat to Egypt, the Suez Canal, and of gaining access to the Middle Eastern and Persian oil fields via North Africa. From a psychological perspective, Second El Alamein revived the morale of the Allies, being the first major offensive against the Axis since the start of the European war in 1939 in which the Western Allies had achieved a decisive victory.

The Origins of the African Slave Trade - Africans sold Africans as slaves

1117: Slavery abolished in Iceland. 1214: The Statute of the Town of Korčula (today in Croatia) abolishes slavery. 1335: Sweden (including Finland at the time) makes slavery illegal. In 1807 Britain outlawed slavery. In 1820 the king of the African kingdom of Ashanti inquired why the Christians did not want to trade slaves with him anymore, since they worshipped the same god as the Muslims and the Muslims were continuing the trade like before.
What these records show is that the modern slave trade flourished in the early middle ages, as early as 869, especially between Muslim traders and western African kingdoms. For moralists, the most important aspect of that trade should be that Muslims were selling goods to the African kingdoms and the African kingdoms were paying with their own people. In most instances, no violence was necessary to obtain those slaves. Contrary to legends and novels and Hollywood movies, the white traders did not need to savagely kill entire tribes in order to exact their tribute in slaves. All they needed to do is bring goods that appealed to the kings of those tribes. The kings would gladly sell their own subjects. (Of course, this neither condones the white traders who bought the slaves nor deny that many white traders still committed atrocities to maximize their business).
This explains why slavery became "black". Ancient slavery, e.g. under the Roman empire, would not discriminate: slaves were both white and black (so were Emperors and Popes). In the middle ages, all European countries outlawed slavery (of course, Western powers retained countless "civilized" ways to enslave their citizens, but that's another story), whereas the African kingdoms happily continued in their trade. Therefore, only colored people could be slaves, and that is how the stereotype for African-American slavery was born. It was not based on an ancestral hatred of blacks by whites, but simply on the fact that blacks were the only ones selling slaves, and they were selling people of their own race. (To be precise, Christians were also selling Muslim slaves captured in war, and Muslims were selling Christian slaves captured in war, but neither the Christians of Europe nor the Muslims of Africa and the Middle East were selling their own people).
Then the Muslim trade of African slaves declined rapidly when Arab domination was reduced by the emerging European powers. (Note: Arabs continued to capture and sell slaves, but mostly in the Mediterranean. In fact, Robert Davis estimates that 1.25 million European Christians were enslaved by the "Barbary States" of northern Africa. As late as 1801 the USA bombed Morocco, Algiers, Tunis and Tripoli precisely to stop that Arab slave trade of Christians. The rate of mortality of those Christian slaves in the Islamic world was roughly the same as the mortality rate in the Atlantic slave trade of the same period.)
Christians took over in black Africa, though. The first ones were the Portuguese, who, applying an idea that originally developed in Italian seatrading cities, and often using Italian venture capital, started exploiting sub-Saharan slaves in the 1440s to support the economy of the sugar plantations (mainly for their own African colonies of Sao Tome and Madeira).
The Dutch were the first, apparently, to import black slaves into North America, but black slaves had already been employed all over the world, including South and Central America. We tend to focus on what happened in North America because the United States would eventually fight a war over slavery (and it's in the U.S. that large sectors of the population would start condemning slavery, contrary to the indifference that Muslims and most Europeans showed for it).
Even after Europeans began transporting black slaves to America, most trade was just that: "trade". In most instances, the Europeans did not need to use any force to get those slaves. The slaves were "sold" more or less legally by their (black) owners. Scholars estimate that about 12,000,000 Africans were sold by Africans to Europeans (most of them before 1776, when the USA wasn't yet born) and 17,000,000 were sold to Arabs. The legends of European mercenaries capturing free people in the jungle are mostly just that: legends. A few mercenaries certainly stormed peaceful tribes and committed terrible crimes, but that was not the norm. There was no need to risk their lives, so most of them didn't: they simply purchased people.
As an African-American scholar (Nathan Huggins) has written, the "identity" of black Africans is largely a white invention: sub-Saharan Africans never felt like they were one people, they felt (and still feel) that they belonged to different tribes. The distinctions of tribe were far stronger than the distinctions of race.

As Libya descends further into civil war and lawlessness, migrants from Africa and the Middle East continue to journey to the country’s coast in search of smugglers to take them across the Mediterranean Sea and into Europe.
Search and rescue operations by Libya’s coast guard are restricted due to diminishing resources, and have to contend with dangerous gangs of armed traffickers.
Those rescued at sea by the coast guard are brought to detention centers, where they face deplorable conditions and are forced to remain for long periods of time. In some instances, migrants are detained by militias in unofficial prisons outside of government control.
VICE News gains access to chilling footage from the Libyan coast guard and travels to detention centers in Libya, where we hear migrants speak of torture and serious human rights violations.

*** Seventy years after the start of the Second World War the overwhelming impression is of a conflict fought on the battlefields of Europe by white troops. Britain’s war effort was bolstered by soldiers from the white Commonwealth – Australia, Canada and New Zealand and later by the United States. The war in the Far East is often overlooked, as is the fighting that took place in Africa. Yet one million African troops participated in the conflict, fighting their way through the jungles of Burma, across the Libyan deserts and in the skies over London.
For Africa the war began in 1935, when Italian forces backed by Eritrean troops, invaded Ethiopia. Ethiopian guerrilla forces, known as the Patriots, continued fighting even after Emperor Haile Selassie fled to England.
After 1939 Britain began an intensive programme of recruiting soldiers from across its African colonies. Some were conscripted by force, others were only too keen to sign up. An intensive programme of training got under way, to turn raw recruits, many of whom had never left their own village, into soldiers.
For a good number it was a real shock: the first time they had eaten processed food, the first time they had seen the ocean, the first time they had been taught to read and write. And all too soon they were transported thousands of miles from home, to fight on foreign soil. It was years before they would come home, since home leave was almost impossible. When they did return they found little had changed, but their own experiences were entirely new and some went on to fight for their liberation of their own countries from colonial rule.
In this documentary, Martin Plaut hears first hand from the African troops who participated in the war – and who played a critical part in freeing the world from the threat of fascism. ***

Madagascar, the mysterious "Great Red Island" off the east African coast of Mozambique, was chosen as the venue for Camel Trophy 1987. The event's return to Africa also heralded the return of Range Rover as the preferred vehicle. It was not the ubiquitous V8 that drove the event this time but the new Italian VM powered 2,400cc turbo-diesel. After an interval of five years, it was great to see Range Rover back where it performed best.
Considered to be an ideal location, a vast variety of landscape, terrain, weather conditions, flora and fauna awaited the teams. From the tropical rainforests of the north, where storms and driving rain caused severe flooding, to the scorched savannah of the south, Madagascar provided a superb challenge.
Once more fourteen countries sent teams on the 2,252 km adventure from Diego Suarez on the northern tip of the island to Fort Dauphin at the southern end, the first ever continuous north-to-south journey by vehicle in Madagascar's history.
At the end of sixteen days, Camel Trophy had exceeded everyone's expectations. The changeable Madagascan landscape produced exactly what was necessary for a classic Camel Trophy.
However not all was well.
The special tasks incorporated into the event in Madagascar proved woefully inadequate, badly designed, damaging to the vehicles and participants alike and almost impossible to score and judge with any accuracy at all. This unfortunate situation led to a near mutiny at the final special task site when most of the "Latin" teams refused to take part declaring, "the event had ended," much to the exasperation, disappointment and disgust of the event organiser. Special tasks were not directly his responsibility but that of "part-time" amateur enthusiasts, who decided what the tasks should be as the convoy moved along the route. No planning, preparation, recces or specific rules were apparent. Only two teams kept out of the dispute, the USA and the UK. This unfortunate dispute led to one of the only real travesties of justice in the history of Camel Trophy, by some screwed up logic and polarisation of teams. The USA team, who by every right should have been awarded the Camel Trophy had to make do with second place.
As a direct result of this, events in the future were staffed by professional marshals, event organisers and competition personnel all working to pre-defined written rules, regulations and procedures.
The Italian team of Maurizio Miele and Vincenzo Tota were awarded Camel Trophy whilst the USA team of Don Floyd and Tom Collins were placed second. In an equally shambolic vote the "Team Spirit Award" was given to the team from Spain of Jaime Puig and Victor Muntane.

A look at Ancient Civilizations and Ancient Greece in Italy. Nearly 2800 years ago, a group of Greek settlers landed on the coast of Italy. That event marked the start the process which created Magna Graecia, named after the motherland. Join us as we walk through the streets of Cumae, Pasteum, Puteoli, and Neapolis, reconstructed using the most advanced computer graphics.
Part 2 starts at 25.42 and looks Ancient Greece in Sicily. During the 4th Century BC, Sicily was the “new Greece” of the west. Our journey will take us to the various cultural centers that dotted the island, such as Syracuse, Agrigento, with the exquisite Valley of the Temples, and Selinus, present-day Selenunte.
Ancient Civilizations offers a comparative analysis of the field, including both old world and new civilizations, and explores the connections between all civilizations around the earth. The volume provides a jargon-free introduction to ancient civilizations from the first civilizations, and the great powers in the Near East, to the first Aegean civilizations, the Mediterranean world in the first millennium, Imperial Rome, northeast Africa, divine kings in southeast Asia, and empires in East Asia, as well as early states in the Americas and Andean civilization. For those interested in ancient civilizations.
Today’s civilizations owe an immense debt to the powerful empires and mighty cities of antiquity. Their inventions, techniques and concepts enabled the advancement of humankind and lay the foundation for life in the modern world.

African Slave trade: who started it, and who stopped it
Historians estimate that between 10 and 18 million Africans were enslaved by Arab slave traders and taken across the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, and Sahara desert between 650 and 1900. [Slavery remained legal in the islamic world until 1970. NINETEEN-seventy.]...Many male African slaves were castrated [by muslims] under the belief that the blacks had an uncontrollable sexual drive...
In Senegambia, between 1300 and 1900, close to one-third of the population was enslaved. In early Islamic states of the western Sudan, including Ghana (750–1076), Mali (1235–1645), Segou (1712–1861), and Songhai (1275–1591), about a third of the population were slaves. In Sierra Leone in the 19th century about half of the population consisted of slaves. In the 19th century at least half the population was enslaved among the Duala of the Cameroon, the Igbo and other peoples of the lower Niger, the Kongo, and the Kasanje kingdom and Chokwe of Angola. Among the Ashanti and Yoruba a third of the population consisted of slaves. The population of the Kanem was about a third slave. It was perhaps 40% in Bornu (1396–1893). Between 1750 and 1900 from one- to two-thirds of the entire population of the Fulani jihad states consisted of slaves. The population of the Sokoto caliphate formed by Hausas in the northern Nigeria and Cameroon was half slave in the 19th century. It is estimated that up to 90% of the population of Arab-Swahili Zanzibar was enslaved. Roughly half the population of Madagascar was enslaved...
Livingstone estimated that 80,000 Africans died each year before ever reaching the slave markets of Zanzibar. Zanzibar was once East Africa's main slave-trading port, and under Omani Arabs in the 19th century as many as 50,000 slaves were passing through the city each year...
The Anti-Slavery Society estimated that there were 2,000,000 slaves in the early 1930s Ethiopia (the only part of Africa not ruled by whites at the time), out of an estimated population of between 8 and 16 million. Slavery continued in Ethiopia until the brief Second Italo-Abyssinian War in October 1935, when it was abolished by order of the Italian occupying forces... (That's right: Mussulini, a member of the AXIS freed 2 million black-owned slaves. When will Steven Spielburg make a movie about THAT?)
When British rule was first imposed on the Sokoto Caliphate and the surrounding areas in northern Nigeria at the turn of the 20th century (a century after Britain had outlawed slavery), approximately 2 million to 2.5 million people there were slaves. Another 2 million black-owned slaves freed by white people. You're welcome.
In 'The Slave Trade Today', (on Amazon.com) Sean O'Callaghan toured the Mideast and Africa and covertly visited many slave markets. Since Islam allows for slavery and slave trading, he was able to see much of the real world of Islamic slavery. This all happened openly and legally as recently 1962:
"Ten boys were ranged in a circle on the dais (used to display the slaves), their buttocks toward us. They were all naked, and I saw with horror that five had been castrated. The (slave dealer) said that usually 10% of the boys are castrated, being purchased by Saudi homosexuals, or by Yemenis, who own harems, as guards." p 75
"Why had the girls (female slaves who had just been sold) had accepted their fate without a murmur, the boys howled and cried?" "Simple" said the Somali, we tell the girls from a very early age - 7 or 8 that they are made for love, at age NINE we let them practice with each other, and a year later with the boys".
In Mecca:
"We take note of 20 tall Negroes in turbans walking near the Kaba. They are eunuch slaves and are employed as police in the great Mosque. There are about 50 of them all together."
"The streets are full of slaves... we see a few old slave women. They are recognized by the poverty of clothing... but we see nothing of the younger women slaves who are kept in the houses of the city."
"As we move along we see two or three very old men and women who look like black skeletons. If we go to the mosque at sunrise we shall see some of these, if we go at sunset they will be there too, and if we pass by at midnight, we shall see them there still .. Sleeping on the stones in their rags. They have no home but the mosque, and no food but what they receive in alms; (they were) turned out to seek the bounty of Allah, as their masters would say."
Blacks started the African slave trade, Muslims exanded it and carried it to new heights of brutality, white people stopped it.
Then Europeans gave blacks and muslims independence and blacks and Muslims restarted the African slave trade started all over.

November 1944 to April 1945, This episode starts with the Italian forces finishing off the remaining Soviet forces in Yugoslavia, unfortunately hampered by poor logistical support in the mountains over winter. While this is happening we continue a slow offensive in the Caucasus, by the end of the episode we have recaptured all of Turkey and started advancing into the Soviet Union.
The Germans are advancing into Poland for the first portion of this video. However, they are forced to give up ground as they rush troops west to deal with an American landing in Kiel. Fortunately the 3a Armata was redeploying northwards to assist on this front at the time and are able to overrun the Americans before they establish a significant foothold.
Midway has changed hands yet again, now the Japanese hold it while their campaigns in Oman, Persia and East Africa continue to progess well.
