Mr. K. Chandrasekhara Rao is the first Chief Minister who had the honour of visiting of Jamia Nizamia as the Chief Guest. Addressing the Centenary Celebrations of the founder of Jamia Nizamia, Hazrath Anwarullah Farooqui, KCR paid rich tributes to the founder. He said that he is proud of visiting this institution. Applauding the late Nizam of Hyderabad, Mr. KCR told that “He is my King and it is my history. Everything can be concealed but history can’t”. He further told that people cannot forget the developmental works Nizam has done. Every truth seems to be bitter today but justice always wins. He informed that Govt. of Telangana has sanctioned Rs. 9.6 crore for the construction of an Auditorium in Jamia Nizamia. He said that many important personalities like the first Chief Minister of Hyderabad State, Mr. B. Rama Krishna Rao and Mr. Baga Reddy, Congress MP are the graduates of this University. The dream of golden Telangana cannot be fulfilled unless the development and prosperity of all the sections is ensured. Reacting to the proposal of Mufti Khaleel Ahmed, VC of Jamia Nizamia, for the development of Muslims in the field of education, Mr. KCR told that not only in the field of education but in every field, welfare schemes for the development of Muslims would be formulated. Attempts are being taken to award scholarships to Muslims on par with SCs and STs. A comprehensive plans is being prepared for the development of Muslims. Steps are being taken to ensure Wakf properties. He paid rich tribute to Ganga – Jamuna Civilization of Hyderabad and said that it is unique in the world. It is our responsibility to protect it. He told that “I am your son and the son of this land and I am struggling for the prosperity of the newly formed Telangana State for which I need the cooperation of the people of Telangana.” He delivered his speech in Urdu language and quoted a few Urdu couplets. Addressing the gathering, Dy. CM of Telangana, Mr. Mohammed Mahmood Ali praised the contribution made by Jamia Nizamia in the field of education. He paid rich tribute to founder Maulana Anwarullah Farooqui. Maulana Ahmed Mohammed Ahmed At- Tayyab of Jamia Azhar (Egypt) addressed the gathering in Arabic language and told that due to the services of Maulana Anwarullah Farooqui, Jamia Nizamia is on strong footing. VC of Jamia Nizamia, Mufti Khaleel Ahmed welcomed the Guests and present a detailed report of the institution. Maulana Akbar Nizamuddin, Chancellor of Jamia Nizamia presided over the function.
