Such a huge house, with features I have not seen in any regular house. A dance studio, grand staircase and my favorite was the elevator. It appears the house either had some salvaging done or looters took advantage of the imminent demise of this house. And I guess as long as it doesn't end in the trash, I don’t care either way. The property and landscape were clearly cared for and judging by the size of the garage on the back part of the property, I am going to guess they had an bad ass RV. Sadly not a lot of artifacts around for insight into who they people were who owner this places, but judging by all the affluence of this house..they had lots of $$$
Oddly I could not find a lot of info on the owners of this house, but what is very obvious is that it was in the way of “progress”. This house, at some point was someones dream home, and it wasn't that long ago. During the explores you can hear the tractors all around while I walk the outside of the house As of last week, it has been demolished.
Jan 2 2016 Update - https://twitter.com/DaaDeeOh/status/683376421767671808
So I have learned that there are MANY conspiracy theorists who like to come up with many reasons why this house is being reno'd and not being demolished. HEre are links to several sites confirming the demo and government ownership. The house is gone, will never stand again. It is now a section of the 407 ETR Toll Highway that crosses the top of Durham Region.

The property is at 6225 Coronation Rd and was owned by Salah Abdelati. It was approximately 4.8 hectares. The Ministry of Transportation initially expropriated approximately 1 hectare of the 4.8 for works associated with the eastern expansion of Highway 407. The parties agreed subsequently that a full buyout was appropriate and they entered into a property purchase agreement pursuant to s. 30 of the Expropriations Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. E. 26 Abdelati subsequently commenced a claim seeking compensation for market value of the subject lands, among other matters, and equivalent reinstatement. Equivalent reinstatement means equivalent accommodation. Section 15 of the Act, which deals with equivalent accommodation states:
Upon application therefor, the Board shall, by order, after fixing the market value of lands used for residential purposes of the owner under subsection 14(1), award such additional amount of compensation as, in the opinion of the Board, is necessary to enable the owner to relocate his or her residence in accommodation that is at least equivalent to the accommodation expropriated. R.S.O. 1990, c.E.26, s.15.
That's going to be one hell of a house they have to put him in until he can find another "Dream Home".

When I set out at 330am to drive the 400km to this location I had no idea what I would find, if anything at all. As I neared the location I found myself surrounded by Department of National Defense NO TRESPASSING signs, and I found myself becoming very worried that I had made the drive for nothing, as the DND territory is one I will not violate or tread on. Fortunately for me, at the end of the "road" I found the landmark I was looking for, and no DND signs. I loaded up my gear, which this time included a crossbow to protect myself from bears, (thats right bears!) and made the 3-5 km trek into the Northern Ontario wilderness.
What I found at the end of the trail was nothing less than AMAZING! A massive structure sitting in the middle of nowhere.
According to the Ontario Heritage Trust, the facility was established in 1914 based on the revolutionary premise that low-risk inmates would benefit from the exercise and skills learned while working outdoors at self-supporting institutions. The prison accommodated between 180 and 820 minimum and medium security offenders with sentences of three months to two years less a day. Over time, it grew it to occupy 14,100 ha owned and 40,800 ha leased, housing three permanent camp sites, several temporary ones, and a town of prison staff families with a population of 600 to 1,000 people. Prison inmates provided labour to build the entire community and ran an extensive mixed farm, a tailor shop, and a prosperous logging operation. This was one of the largest reform institutions in 20th century Ontario. It closed in 1975 because of changes in correctional practices.
The explore was nothing less than fantastic, despite the damage, heavy vandalism, and clear evidence that many explorers had come before me, I walked these halls as if I was the first person ever to search this building. From tiny cells, to the boiler room, to the dank basements every inch of this place was worth the time it took to get here. Given some of the hazards I noticed, especially deep wells covered in grass, I should have probably had someone with me. I am aware some of the basement footage is limited by my flashlights "spot", but please appreciate the video as a whole. Thanks to @ggreeneyes1975 for the tip.

Thank you for exploring AND posting it.....my father worked as a correctional officer there, and as a child, I remember playing on the streets in the old Burwash town for the officers and staff. Fond memories....dispite the vandalism and the aged appearance, I can still see my dad and some of the officers there.

I was brought up in the village of Burwash. They opened the first prison in 1914 and it was closed in 1974. This prison you are seeing was built in 1958, so it was only open for 15 years before the government in all it's wisdom decided to shut the whole thing down. They left everything standing for the next 20 years, because they couldn't decide what to do with the property. A few of the houses were sold privately and moved out, but the rest was bulldozed in 1994. The heritage plaque was erected in 2006. The first few miles of the property (from the highway) has been turned over to the military, the rest is administered by the Ministry of Natural Resources. The prison you see was sold to a private person many years ago. To say that it is so hard to get to, there sure has been a lot of vandalism in the past few years. A few of the comments below had asked for some history, so I thought I would oblige.
wn.com/Exploring An Abandoned Prison, Northern Ontario

A Video to go along with the song by The Three Dead Trolls in a Baggie
I Apologize about the mistakes in the video. The song is by 3 Dead Trolls in a Baggie NOT Arrogant Worms. The artists pictured are the Arrogant Worms not 3 Dead Trolls.
Lyrics:
I hate the Sky dome and the CN Tower too
I hate Nathan Phillips Square and the Ontario Zoo
The rents too high, the airs unclean
The beaches are dirty and the people are mean
And the women are big and the men are dumb
And the children are loopy 'cause they live in a slum
The water is polluted and the mayor's a dork
They dress real bad and they think they're New York
In Toronto, Ontario
"You know, actually I think I hate all of Ontario"
I hate Thunder Bay and Ottawa
Kitchener, Windsor, and Oshawa
London sucks and the Great Lakes suck
And Sarnia sucks and Turkey Point Sucks
I took a trip to Ontario to visit Brian Mulrooney
He beat me up and he stole my pants and he put me in a tree
I went to see the Maple Leafs and got hit in the head with a puck
"I don't even know how they did it, I was playing the organ at the time!"
Ontariio Sucks
"actually, now that I really think about it, I think I pretty much hate every gosh darn province and territory in our country!Except Alberta, yeah I love Alberta, lots of cows, trees, rocks, dirt"
I hate Newfoundland 'cause they talk so weird
And Prince Edward Island is too small
Nova Scotia's dumb 'cause its the name of a bank
New Brunswick doesn't have a good mall
Quebec is revolting and it makes me mad
Ontario sucks, Ontario sucks,
"Manitoba's population density is 1.9 people per square kilometer. NOw isn't that stupid!?"
Saskatchewan is boring and the people are old
And as for the territories, they're too cold!
And the only really good thing about the province of British Columbia is that its right next to us!"
'Cause Alberta doesn't suck
But Calgary does

"Welcome to Ontario" (c) 1995 Ontario, Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Recreation
You would be surprised knowing the story of this particular video clip. First time I saw it many years ago (around 1996) in Russia when multimedia stuff on PCs like video was rare. At that time I lived in Russia and was just dreaming about going abroad to study or work. Since that time I kept the video burnt on one of my CDs as an example of how professional video has to be done.
10 years later, I "found" that video on the old CD and uploaded it to Youtube. The difference this time was - I am a Сanadian citizen enjoying living in Canada. The video clip, sponsored by Ontario province government and created in Canada, made its way from Canada to Russia in 1996, then it flew back to Canada in 2001 and 10 years later (in 2006) was uploaded to Youtube so you all can see it. Isn't it amazing?
I consider this video clip as symbolic pride of the country where we can live freely and secure, pride of achieving our goals when we are really passionate about them.
This is a great example of how our "vision" makes dreams come true... ;)
N.B. - I DO NOT have this video in better quality, do not ask me about it please. But you can always try asking Ontario's Ministry of Culture, Tourism and Recreation! :)

Toronto is the largest city in Canada and the provincial capital of Ontario. It is located in Southern Ontario on the northwestern shore of Lake Ontario. The history of Toronto began in the late 18th century when the British Crown purchased its land from the Mississaugas of the New Credit. The British established a settlement there, called the Town of York, which its lieutenant governor, John Graves Simcoe, designated as the capital of Upper Canada. The city was ransacked in the Battle of York during the War of 1812. In 1834, York was incorporated as a city and renamed Toronto.
The most important places to visit in Toronto are: Niagara Falls (located an hour and a half away from Toronto, awe-inspiring Niagara Falls attracts visitors from around the world), CN Tower (dominating Toronto's skyline, this communication tower stands at a staggering 1,815 feet. Spectacular Toronto views await you at the top), Old City Hall (an important historic landmark of Toronto. It too nearly 20 years to complete its construction in 1899), Royal Ontario Museum (Canada's largest museum of world culture. You can see impressive artifacts and archeological objects from around the world), Casa Loma (a magnificent castle on a hill in the north end of Toronto. Visitors are treated well in restored rooms and gardens) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Toronto travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. Welcome to Ottawa, Ontario, where you’ll find charming old-world buildings surrounded by picturesque natural beauty.
The first stop on an Ottawa tour should be the Rideau Canal. This waterway cuts the city in half, and it provides places for boating and paddleboarding during the summer. Visiting in winter? Not a problem—you can go ice skating along the Rideau when it ices over. On the south side of the river, you can see the Changing of the Guard Ceremony at Parliament Hill. A few blocks to the north is the National Gallery of Canada, a stunning glass-and-granite building full of art from Canadian, European, and other North American artists.
You’ll be hungry after all this walking around, so head to ByWard Market. If you see beavertails, don’t worry; they’re a pastry, not part of an actual beaver—and they’re delicious. ByWard Market also has some of the best fresh produce you’ll ever taste, so stock up on fruits and vegetables while you’re there.
After sampling the fare at ByWard Market, cross the river to visit the Canadian Museum of History in Quebec. This is where you can tour recreations of Old Canada: explore 1800s storefronts, wander into log cabins, and learn about the First Nations people who inhabited Canada for thousands of years prior to European settlement.
Round out your trip with a venture to Gatineau Park, where you can relax by the lake or take tea in the MacKenzie King estate.

http://bookinghunter.com
Niagara Falls is the collective name for three waterfalls that straddle the international border between Canada and the United States; more specifically, between the province of Ontario and the state of New York. They form the southern end of the Niagara Gorge.
From largest to smallest, the three waterfalls are the Horseshoe Falls, the American Falls and the Bridal Veil Falls. The Horseshoe Falls lie on the Canadian side and the American Falls on the American side, separated by Goat Island. The smaller Bridal Veil Falls are also located on the American side, separated from the other waterfalls by Luna Island. The international boundary line was originally drawn through Horseshoe Falls in 1819, but the boundary has long been in dispute due to natural erosion and construction.
Located on the Niagara River, which drains Lake Erie into Lake Ontario, the combined falls form the highest flow rate of any waterfall in the world, with a vertical drop of more than 165 feet (50 m). Horseshoe Falls is the most powerful waterfall in North America, as measured by vertical height and also by flow rate. The falls are located 17 miles (27 km) north-northwest of Buffalo, New York and 75 miles (121 km) south-southeast of Toronto, between the twin cities of Niagara Falls, Ontario, and Niagara Falls, New York.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. The journey starts in Halifax and stretches right across Canada, from east to west and from the Atlantic to the Pacific. Halifax is situated in a deep, well-defined bay on the Atlantic coastline and has one of the most beautiful natural harbours in the world.Ville De Quebec is the capital of the likewise-named province of Canada. In this European-orientated city on the St. Laurence river, French is the main language. In 1608, Samuel De Champlain established it as a centre for the fur trade. The massive and world famous Chateau Frontenac is the city’s best known landmark. In Montreal, Canada’s second largest city, the massive Basilica, the Oratoire Saint-Joseph, is an important pilgrimage destination and in the charming French-style area of the city which is located between the harbour and the modern banking quarter, numerous old buildings have been restored. Although Montreal is located 1600 kilometres from the open sea, it owes its wealth to its waterways which stretch from the country’s interior, to the ocean. In Native American, Toronto means, ‘Meeting Place’ an accurate description for the capital of Ontario Province and Canada’s largest city, a multi-cultural city with giant skyscrapers and noisy streets. The CN Tower is the tallest free-standing building in the world and in less than a minute its lift ascends 335 metres to the top. Niagara Falls lies between Lake Erie and Lake Ontario on the Canadian-American border. A trip on the ‘Maid Of The Mist’ is a magnificent experience where the tremendous power of the water is awesome. Three times a week, the Canadian, with its 30 wagons, 2 locomotives and total length of more than a kilometre, winds its way through the Rocky Mountains the water from which accumulates from mountain glaciers and flows into three oceans: the Atlantic, the Pacific and the Arctic. The capital of the south west province of British Columbia, Vancouver, is located beside the Pacific Ocean and is the third largest city in Canada and one of the most beautiful on the North American continent. A fitting final destination for a tour of Canada’s wonderworld of magnificent contrasts.

Welcome to Toronto, the largest city in Canada and a hub of trade and culture.
“The City That Works” is full of a can-do spirit that is reflected in its buildings. From the famous CN Tower to the castle-like Casa Loma, there’s all sorts of eye candy for the architecture enthusiast. Your Toronto tour should include a trip to Edward Gardens in Hyde Park, or one of the many other green spaces located in the city. Take a bike ride along the trails, or enjoy a picnic while the local chipmunks look on. Don’t drop anything; they’ll grab it.
Your Toronto sightseeing can continue at the Harborfront Center. Go for a walk along the marina, or grab a pint at a brewhouse. And no trip to Toronto is complete without a visit to the Hockey Hall of Fame, so make sure you’ve got your team paraphernalia in order before you venture inside. Looking for shopping? You’ll find the Underground City and Kensington Market ready to welcome you and your credit card – or several credit cards, as the case may be. After a day of madcap purchasing, why not stock up on fresh, healthy food at the St. Lawrence Market? You’ll have worked up quite an appetite for delicious local produce.
Before you leave, head to Niagara Falls and take in the spectacle of nature’s power. You’ll never forget the sight and sound of all that water pouring over the falls, nor will you ever forget your trip to Toronto.

Wolfe Island Thousand Islands Travel Guide | Ferry from Kingston Ontario Canada
Today we've got an exciting afternoon trip that we're going to be taking. We're going to Wolfe Island, which is just off of Kingston. We're going to be taking a ferry. The best part about it is that it is free. We're just going to be having a really cool time over there. We're planning on doing a lot of walking just wandering around to get away from the city for a little while.
After spending the morning touring historic downtown Kingston and Queen's University we decided to take a free 20 minute ferry, boarding the Wolfe Islander III, over to Wolfe Island.
The ferry runs daily throughout the year starting at 5:45 am with a final run at 2 AM.
As the largest of the world-renowned Thousand Islands, the 29 kilometer long Wolfe Island is situated at the entrance of the Saint Lawrence River in Lake Ontario.
We're out here on Wolfe Island and it is a Friday afternoon and the streets are pretty empty. We've just been driving around the island and pulling over whenever we see something interesting. We just found some cows over here in a field so we're photographing them. Yeah.
This is the kind of cute little island where you'll enjoy the slower pace of life, farmland, windmills, beaches and other recreational activities.
We are here at the ferry terminal and this must be the smallest border inspection area I've ever seen.
For those with time to spare, you can cross over to the United States via ferry from Wolfe Island to Cape Vincent, New York with frequent daily routes between May to October.
This is awesome. I've never been so close to a windmill before.
Other attractions on Wolfe Island include a corn maze, bicycle routes, a golf course and country roads.
What are you doing? We stopped for a little ice cream break. I'm having black cherry and strawberry and this is what you're having. And you've got it in your hand. It look gross. Are you going to eat it? It looks gross. Yeah. Rude.
With time to spare before we caught our Ferry back to Kingston, we enjoyed eating ice cream, tanning and walking out on the pier.
Our time went by so quickly and before we knew it we were boarding the ferry again.
Along the way you'll spot wildlife, pass various other boats and have a great view of the Royal Military College of Canada campus.
If you're visiting Kingston, Wolfe Island is a perfect little day trip -- especially during the summer months.
We enjoyed a nice family outing and we hope to back again soon.
This is part of our Travel in Canada series. We're making a series of videos showcasing Canadian culture, Canadian arts, Canadian foods, Canadian religion and Canadian people.

Niagara Falls has long been a symbol of natural power and beauty. Visit this hallmark of Canadian and American tourism and see its majesty from a helicopter, boat, or walkway.
Your Niagara Falls tour begins with a little bit of information: more than six million cubic feet of water spill over the sides per minute. You can explore three waterfalls, the most famous being the Canadian Horseshoe Falls, which are the widest and most powerful. Take a half-hour boat cruise and bask in the falls’ mist, or enter a special set of walkways behind the falls and see the strength and might of the rushing water right in front of you.
No Niagara Falls sightseeing trip is complete without exploring the Botanical Gardens or Niagara on the Lake. The latter attraction offers boutiques, eateries, and picturesque views of the water you won’t soon forget.

Welcome to Montreal, Canada. This extraordinary city, which began life as a French colony in the 1600s, is now a stunning metropolis combining old-world architecture with modern dashes.
When Mark Twain visited Montreal in the 19th century, he was so taken by its many churches that he nicknamed it “The City of 100 Bell Towers.” These numerous buildings are often part of Montreal sightseeing; marvel at the imposing stone façade of Christ Church Cathedral, or stand beneath the great arched ceiling of the beautiful Notre Dame Basilica. You can spend days exploring the city’s many sacred spaces, but Montreal tourism is so much more than that; if you’re a foodie, you’re in luck, because the residents of Montreal adore a good meal, whether it’s poutine from a streetside bistro or fresh produce from the farmers market.
A tour of Montreal will take you across cobblestone streets and through architecture that dates back to the 1600s, but one thing you must remember to do is to walk and play in its numerous green spaces. The city’s inhabitants take great pride in Montreal’s natural beauty, and hikes up Mont Royal or along the St. Lawrence River are frequent activities for locals. Remember to bring your camera, as the riverfront and the mountain are full of striking photo opportunities.
What is your favorite part of Montreal?

Kingston, a city with more than 120.000 inhabitants, is located on the shores of Lake Ontario.
Due to the many buildings of gray limestone, like the great prison at the Olympic marina, Kingston is also called Limestone City. In 1976 the Olympic sailing competitions were held in the marina.
Once founded as a simple fur trade station, the city was conquered by the English in 1758. They built the Fort Henry to secure the commercial shipping on the St. Lawrence River and the Rideau Channel which was completed in 1832. From 1841 to 1844, Kingston was the first capital of the united Canadas.
During our visit, the annual Limestone Musical Festival took place in front of the city hall next to the old railway station of the Canadian Pacific.

The 2016 Nissan Altima is a car that must be experienced. Its dramatic curves, gorgeously sculpted steel and wide stance adds up to form a car that is exciting to drive, extremely aerodynamic, and slices through the air with ease. Nissan gives you seven tempting Altima trims to choose from starting with the base 2.5 all the way up to the top-of-the-line 3.5 SL. The 2.5 models all share a 2.5-Liter 4-Cylinder engine with 182hp that gets up to an EPA estimated 27 MPG City and 39 MPG Hwy. The 3.5 Models on the other hand deliver a thrilling 270hp from a more powerful 3.5-Liter V6, and get an EPA estimated 32 MPG highway. All models come standard equipped with the amazing Xtronic CVT transmission. Inside the 2015 Altima, the cabin is spacious, modern and notably upscale with high-end materials and soft lines. For comfort, Nissan developed extremely comfortable front seats that are not only supportive, their cushions also flex in accordance with your pressure points, to help reduce fatigue while driving. Not to be overlooked is the Advanced Drive-Assist Display between the speedometer and tachometer. Depending on the trim level and how your Altima is equipped, the display can show you such things as caller ID, turn-by-turn navigation, low tire pressure alerts, and lane departure warnings directly in front of you reducing the time you have to look away. The Nissan Rogue features a striking front end, muscular arches along the flowing character lines, and aerodynamic wraparound taillights. Rogue serves up a stylish first impression with its signature standard LED Daytime Running Lights. Available class-exclusive LED headlights flow into sculpted, muscular fenders to create an unmistakable presence. Wind tunnel testing developed aerodynamic panels around the rear pillars that sweep the breeze away, and a low aerodynamic underbody, even the muffler gets its own spoiler. The revolutionary results: an impressively quiet ride and a best-in-class MPG. The Rogue's redesigned interior features chrome accents, available leather seats, soft-touch materials, a seamless fit and finish, and an ambience that you just don't find in this class. With room for an object around eight feet long, Rogue gives you possibilities you never knew you had. The clever split-folding 2nd-row seat lets you mix cargo and friends, giving you the option of 70.0 cu. ft. with you and a friend or 39.3 with the whole gang. Need to transport more than 5 people? Not a problem as the Rogue has available 3rd row seating by way of 50/50 split folding seats. The 2.5L 4-cylinder engine maximizes efficiency and performance providing up to 33 MPG Hwy, the best in its class. The PUREDRIVE badge also means that Rogue meets or exceeds the industry-average US Federal CAFE standards for model-year 2016. Available features include the optional NissanConnect system serving up hands-free phone and texting, streaming audio, navigation, and a lot more on a 7-inch color screen, Bose audio, a class-exclusive 4 camera Around View Monitor, Forward Collision Warning system, Lane Departure Warning system, and Dual Zone Climate Control.

**For those taking issue with my decision to censor excessively crude pornographic graffiti in this house (not just penises), I have families who watch my videos with their children and grandchildren so I have to keep these viewers in mind as my channel is rated PG-13.** Please see history below:
This video features the exploration of a gorgeous abandoned manor that has since been demolished. I was happy to get in and document this beforehand. It was built in the 1880s but the original owners of the land trace roots back to 1818 when the Irish settlers came to the area. The previous owners were a prominent family who purchased this pioneer home in 1956 and sold it to developers in 2009 who have let it sit and deteriorate since as they just wanted to raze the building. This manor did not have a Heritage Designation to protect it from such as it is considered condemned and in disrepair. In my opinion, I do not see this to be the case but I'm not an expert. The previous owners along with the neighbours put out a petition to at least try and save the historic trees but sadly, the trees are also not protected.
Here is a media link regarding the history:

Видео получилось длинным. Если не хочется смотреть все, можно перемотать. В видео условно три части:
1.Общие впечатления, качество сборки, ТТХ- от начала до 11.30
2.Неудачная попытка разборки с 11.31 по 13.15
3.Сравнение с оригинальной Крысой и долгие рассуждения о том, насколько Чикрыса хороша и имеет ли смысл ее приобретение с 13.16 до конца видео
