We sincerely hope this travel guide to Athens, Greece is a good primer and introduction to Greek culture, Greek Food (Greek Cuisine), and numerous attractions and things to do and see in the city. We cover arts, entertainment, museums and architecture we feel is worth exploring. In terms of tourism this travel video attempts to take you to all of the famous sites as well as many of the off-the-beaten-path spots you may have otherwise missed out on.

20 Things to do in Athens Greece Top Attractions Travel Guide Transcript:
Well, good afternoon from sunny Athens. We are currently exploring the Greek capital. We recently actually spent a few days traveling around Meteora and now we're finishing up our trip here in Athens. We've got two full days to explore the city which isn't a lot of time but we're going to try to do our best.
Our first stop was one of the most recognized sights in Athens - the Parthenon, which was dedicated to the goddess Athena who was seen as the patron of Athens.
After sunset we lingered atop Mount Lycabettus for some night views of the city before taking the funicular down to the bottom. Seeing the Acropolis all lit up at night was a pretty cool sight!
Next up we visited the Temple of Zeus which once housed the statue of Zeus, and was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
When it comes to shopping, there are a few different options. We made our way to Monastiraki, which is one of the principal shopping districts in Athens. Here we visited both the Flea Market and the antique shops in the area.
The Agora was the central spot in ancient Greek city-states, and it is where people gathered.
So we are wrapping up our time here in Athens. Any surprises or final thoughts to share? Yeah, something that really surprised me were just the amount of stray animals that I saw on the streets.
I also thought there was really good dining options as well. We had a number of really good Greek meals and also some really good International food too.
Final thoughts, I think this is a really underrated capital in Europe. A lot like Warsaw in Poland so if you have an opportunity to visit Athens in Greece definitely do so.
So what did you think of Athens? Well, I thought it was a really cool city and I actually had a great time here. It kind of reminded me a little bit of Tel Aviv with the Mediterranean feel but also Berlin because it is very artsy and gritty. So it's a really cool place to check out. Great food, lots of attractions. You have a mix of antiquity with urban.

Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. This was our first trip to Poland and we dove into the capital headfirst. While our travels may have started in the charming Old Town, it wasn't long before we discovered that Warsaw has a cool artsy side. We visited bright neon museums in the art district, shopped in boutiques selling soviet-chic apparel, and got to experience the capital's legendary nightlife. It many ways it was a whirlwind visit, but it was also a fun introduction that made us curious to discover more of Poland in our future travels. Well hello and welcome to Warszawa. This week we are exploring the Polish capital. We've already been here a few days and it has been amazing. It has been such a pleasant surprise and unlike any part of Europe we've traveled in so far. So yeah, this week we're going to be highlighting 25 things to do around the city and we're excited to show you what it is all about.
We came to Warsaw with little to no expectations and the city completely surprised us. Our week in the capital was spent sampling Polish cuisine, learning about the city's past through museums and historical tours, and also dabbling in a bit of the nightlife. Warsaw is quickly rising through the ranks and we think it won't be long before travellers are flocking en masse. So if you're planning a trip to Poland, don't skip over the capital because there is more to Warsaw than meets the eye.

Trinity College, first founded by Queen Elizabeth I in 1592, is both a prominent center of education and a tourist destination. Located in the center of Dublin, Ireland, Trinity College alumni include Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde. The campus sits across from the former Irish Houses of Parliament, and these buildings, among several others, have given the school its distinguished, instantly recognizable appearance.
A tour of Trinity College will reveal a number of classically styled buildings and vast amounts of green space. You’ll no doubt stop at the Campanile, a bell tower and one of the standout points of the campus. We don’t recommend passing through the Campanile when the bell tolls; superstitious students believe they will fail their exams if it goes off while they’re beneath it. If you’re not a student here, or simply do not fear bad luck, feel free to laugh in the face of danger and walk beneath it while it rings.
Outside of Trinity College, you’ll find a wealth of things to do. The campus is right near Grafton Street, famed for its many shopping and eating opportunities. In addition, you should pay a visit to the National Wax Museum, or step aboard the sailing ship Jeanie Johnston, a replica of the vessels that carried hundreds of thousands of immigrants to the New World in the 1800s.

Ying and I woke up at our new hotel, and we decided to go on a quick day trip to Beitou hot springs, a famous area in Taipei, where there’s a natural hot water spring, and home to quite a lot of history, attractions and relaxing hotels. It was very easy to get from central Taipei to Beitou by using public transportation on the train, and it took about 30 minutes to get from central Taipei to Xin Beitou station. From Xin Beitou station, we walked over to the hot springs area.
2:15 Beitou Public Library
The first place we arrived on our day trip to Beitou hot springs was the Beitou Public Library. The library is fully in use, but the reason it’s popular to visit and it’s kind of an attraction is because of its unique architecture and its eco friendly design. We didn’t spend more than a few minutes there, but just looked at it from the outside and then took a quick peek inside.

One of the main attractions at Beitou is the hot springs museum, originally the original Japanese bathhouse in Beitou. It’s not a huge museum, and the price is free, so it’s a good place to just check out for a few minutes before moving on.

I thought it was just going to be a garden with plums, but it was actually the former home of a famous Chinese calligrapher. The house was another quick stop on our day trip, but worth the quick visit.

The time finally came to visit the main attraction at Beitou, the hot springs. They have many higher end spas and hotels with private baths, but I went for the public Taiwanese style hot spring bath. They didn’t allow any photography inside, but it was pretty nice and I enjoyed soaking in the natural hot water for a few minutes before moving on with our day.
4:54 Thermal Valley
One of the most famous things to see in Beitou is the Thermal Valley, a big pool of water that’s boiling hot and is the source of the hot springs for Beitou. The water is really hot and there’s not swimming so it’s more of just a viewpoint and a place to take photos.
While there, we met up with Joe, Raymond, and his Father, by random chance. They were visiting from California and were spending the day at the Beitou hot springs and were en-route to have lunch and go to another hot spring and invited us to go along with them.
6:32 Epic Taiwanese Country Style Farm Lunch
Along with Joe, Raymond, and his Father, we drove through the mountains and after about 45 minutes we arrived at a small local style hot spring where we were going to have lunch. They did all the ordering and we were soon faced with what was one of the best Taiwanese food meals I had the entire trip to Taiwan. All the food was home style cooked, and tasted very country style, and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the deer on the hot plate and the roast quail.
On Day 7 in Taiwan, we planned to just take a day trip to Beitou hot springs, but completely unplanned, it turned into one of the best days of our trip and one of the best meals as well.

National Diet Library
The National Diet Library (NDL) (国立国会図書館, Kokuritsu Kokkai Toshokan) is the only national library in Japan. It was established in 1948 for the purpose of assisting members of the National Diet of Japan (国会, Kokkai) in researching matters of public policy. The library is similar in purpose and scope to the United States Library of Congress.
The National Diet Library (NDL) consists of two main facilities in Tokyo and Kyoto, and several other branch libraries throughout Japan.
History
The National Diet Library is the successor of three separate libraries: the library of the House of Peers, the library of the House of Representatives, both of which were established at the creation of Japan's Imperial Diet in 1890; and the Imperial Library, which had been established in 1872 under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education.
The Diet's power in prewar Japan was limited, and its need for information was "correspondingly small." The original Diet libraries "never developed either the collections or the services which might have made them vital adjuncts of genuinely responsible legislative activity." Until Japan's defeat, moreover, the executive had controlled all political documents, depriving the people and the Diet of access to vital information. The U.S. occupation forces under General Douglas MacArthur deemed reform of the Diet library system to be an important part of the democratization of Japan after its defeat in World War II.

Athens (Greek: Αθήνα, Athína - Ἀθῆναι) 20 Things to do in Athens Greece Top Attractions Travel Guide Transcript: Well, good afternoon from sunny Athens. We are currently exploring the Greek capital. We recently actually spent a few days traveling around Meteora and now we're finishing up our trip here in Athens. We've got two full days to explore the city which isn't a lot of time but we're going to try to do our best. Our first stop was one of the most recognized sights in Athens - the Parthenon, which was dedicated to the goddess Athena who was seen as the patron of Athens. After sunset we lingered atop Mount Lycabettus for some night views of the city before taking the funicular down to the bottom. Seeing the Acropolis all lit up at night was a pretty cool sight! Next up we visited the Temple of Zeus which once housed the statue of Zeus, and was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. When it comes to shopping, there are a few different options. We made our way to Monastiraki, which is one of the principal shopping districts in Athens. Here we visited both the Flea Market and the antique shops in the area. The Agora was the central spot in ancient Greek city-states, and it is where people gathered. So we are wrapping up our time here in Athens. Any surprises or final thoughts to share? Yeah, something that really surprised me were just the amount of stray animals that I saw on the streets. I also thought there was really good dining options as well. We had a number of really good Greek meals and also some really good International food too. Final thoughts, I think this is a really underrated capital in Europe. A lot like Warsaw in Poland so if you have an opportunity to visit Athens in Greece definitely do so. So what did you think of Athens? Well, I thought it was a really cool city and I actually had a great time here. It kind of reminded me a little bit of Tel Aviv with the Mediterranean feel but also Berlin because it is very artsy and gritty. So it's a really cool place to check out. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town. You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface. And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. Located in the center of Dublin, Ireland, Trinity College alumni include Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde. The campus sits across from the former Irish Houses of Parliament, and these buildings, among several others, have given the school its distinguished, instantly recognizable appearance. A tour of Trinity College will reveal a number of classically styled buildings and vast amounts of green space. You’ll no doubt stop at the Campanile, a bell tower and one of the standout points of the campus. We don’t recommend passing through the Campanile when the bell tolls; superstitious students believe they will fail their exams if it goes off while they’re beneath it. If you’re not a student here, or simply do not fear bad luck, feel free to laugh in the face of danger and walk beneath it while it rings. Outside of Trinity College, you’ll find a wealth of things to do. The campus is right near Grafton Street, famed for its many shopping and eating opportunities. Taipei Travel Guide: https://migrationology.com/travel-guides/taipei-taiwan/ Day 7 in Taiwan, was one of our best days so far. Ying and I woke up at our new hotel, and we decided to go on a quick day trip to Beitou hot springs, a famous area in Taipei, where there’s a natural hot water spring, and home to quite a lot of history, attractions and relaxing hotels. It was very easy to get from central Taipei to Beitou by using public transportation on the train, and it took about 30 minutes to get from central Taipei to Xin Beitou station. From Xin Beitou station, we walked over to the hot springs area. 2:15 Beitou Public Library The first place we arrived on our day trip to Beitou hot springs was the Beitou Public Library. The library is fully in use, but the reason it’s popular to visit and it’s kind of an attraction is because of its unique architecture and its eco friendly design. We didn’t spend more than a few minutes there, but just looked at it from the outside and then took a quick peek inside. 2:45 Beitou Hot Springs Museum One of the main attractions at Beitou is the hot springs museum, originally the original Japanese bathhouse in Beitou. It’s not a huge museum, and the price is free, so it’s a good place to just check out for a few minutes before moving on. 3:29 Beitou Plum Garden I thought it was just going to be a garden with plums, but it was actually the former home of a famous Chinese calligrapher. The house was another quick stop on our day trip, but worth the quick visit. 3:52 Beitou Hot Springs - Public Bath The time finally came to visit the main attraction at Beitou, the hot springs. They have many higher end spas and hotels with private baths, but I went for the public Taiwanese style hot spring bath. They didn’t allow any photography inside, but it was pretty nice and I enjoyed soaking in the natural hot water for a few minutes before moving on with our day. 4:54 Thermal Valley One of the most famous things to see in Beitou is the Thermal Valley, a big pool of water that’s boiling hot and is the source of the hot springs for Beitou. The water is really hot and there’s not swimming so it’s more of just a viewpoint and a place to take photos. While there, we met up with Joe, Raymond, and his Father, by random chance. They were visiting from California and were spending the day at the Beitou hot springs and were en-route to have lunch and go to another hot spring and invited us to go along with them. 6:32 Epic Taiwanese Country Style Farm Lunch Along with Joe, Raymond, and his Father, we drove through the mountains and after about 45 minutes we arrived at a small local style hot spring where we were going to have lunch. They did all the ordering and we were soon faced with what was one of the best Taiwanese food meals I had the entire trip to Taiwan. All the food was home style cooked, and tasted very country style, and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the deer on the hot plate and the roast quail. On Day 7 in Taiwan, we planned to just take a day trip to Beitou hot springs, but completely unplanned, it turned into one of the best days of our trip and one of the best meals as well. 20 Things to do in Athens Greece Top Attractions Travel Guide Transcript:
Well, good afternoon from sunny Athens. We are currently exploring the Greek capital. We recently actually spent a few days traveling around Meteora and now we're finishing up our trip here in Athens. We've got two full days to explore the city which isn't a lot of time but we're going to try to do our best.
Our first stop was one of the most recognized sights in Athens - the Parthenon, which was dedicated to the goddess Athena who was seen as the patron of Athens.
After sunset we lingered atop Mount Lycabettus for some night views of the city before taking the funicular down to the bottom. Seeing the Acropolis all lit up at night was a pretty cool sight!
Next up we visited the Temple of Zeus which once housed the statue of Zeus, and was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
When it comes to shopping, there are a few different options. We made our way to Monastiraki, which is one of the principal shopping districts in Athens. Here we visited both the Flea Market and the antique shops in the area.
The Agora was the central spot in ancient Greek city-states, and it is where people gathered.
So we are wrapping up our time here in Athens. Any surprises or final thoughts to share? Yeah, something that really surprised me were just the amount of stray animals that I saw on the streets.

Final thoughts, I think this is a really underrated capital in Europe. A lot like Warsaw in Poland so if you have an opportunity to visit Athens in Greece definitely do so.
So what did you think of Athens? Well, I thought it was a really cool city and I actually had a great time here. It kind of reminded me a little bit of Tel Aviv with the Mediterranean feel but also Berlin because it is very artsy and gritty. So it's a really cool place to check out. Well, good afternoon from sunny Athens. We are currently exploring the Greek capital. We recently actually spent a few days traveling around Meteora and now we're finishing up our trip here in Athens. We've got two full days to explore the city which isn't a lot of time but we're going to try to do our best.
Our first stop was one of the most recognized sights in Athens - the Parthenon, which was dedicated to the goddess Athena who was seen as the patron of Athens.
After sunset we lingered atop Mount Lycabettus for some night views of the city before taking the funicular down to the bottom. Seeing the Acropolis all lit up at night was a pretty cool sight!
Next up we visited the Temple of Zeus which once housed the statue of Zeus, and was considered one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World.
When it comes to shopping, there are a few different options. We made our way to Monastiraki, which is one of the principal shopping districts in Athens. Here we visited both the Flea Market and the antique shops in the area.
The Agora was the central spot in ancient Greek city-states, and it is where people gathered.
So we are wrapping up our time here in Athens. Any surprises or final thoughts to share? Yeah, something that really surprised me were just the amount of stray animals that I saw on the streets.
I also thought there was really good dining options as well. We had a number of really good Greek meals and also some really good International food too.

Most journeys begin at Penn Station or Grand Central, and if you arrive at the later you'll be wowed by the building. The Meatpacking District was once home to markets, slaughterhouses, and packaging plants, but times have changed. Today you'll find a mixture of trendy restaurants, clubs and boutiques. The Village used to be a bohemian neighborhood that drew artists and musicians, but today you're more likely to find upper middle class families living here. Completed in 1883, Brooklyn Bridge is one of the oldest suspension bridges in the United States. Williamsburg has become popular given its lower rent prices. University students and young professionals have been flocking to this part of town.
You can walk along the riverfront for a great view of the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges and the Manhattan skyline. During the summer months, Bryant Park also becomes a popular hangout spot people looking to relax and even work on their tans. The Staten Island Ferry is free of charge and this makes it really popular with visitors who want to catch a glimpse of the Statue of Liberty from a distance. Battery Park is located on the southern tip of Manhattan. Having both lived in South Korea, we were thrilled to come across Manhattan's own Little Korea. Coney Island is all about good old fashioned fun. The Cloisters will make you feel like you've travelled over to Europe. Central Park is massive and there are so many places to visit within its boundaries. We managed to visit Belvedere Castle, the Great Lawn, Shakespeare Garden, The Ramble, The Jackie Onassis Reservoir, the Alice in Wonderland Statue, and we still left feeling like we barely scratched the surface.
And that concludes a look at our very busy week in New York City. I'm still shocked we managed to cover so many attractions, but the great thing about this city is that distances aren't very long and there's always something really cool worth checking out around each corner. We came to Warsaw with little to no expectations and the city completely surprised us. Our week in the capital was spent sampling Polish cuisine, learning about the city's past through museums and historical tours, and also dabbling in a bit of the nightlife. Warsaw is quickly rising through the ranks and we think it won't be long before travellers are flocking en masse. So if you're planning a trip to Poland, don't skip over the capital because there is more to Warsaw than meets the eye.

Located in the center of Dublin, Ireland, Trinity College alumni include Bram Stoker and Oscar Wilde. The campus sits across from the former Irish Houses of Parliament, and these buildings, among several others, have given the school its distinguished, instantly recognizable appearance.
A tour of Trinity College will reveal a number of classically styled buildings and vast amounts of green space. You’ll no doubt stop at the Campanile, a bell tower and one of the standout points of the campus. We don’t recommend passing through the Campanile when the bell tolls; superstitious students believe they will fail their exams if it goes off while they’re beneath it. If you’re not a student here, or simply do not fear bad luck, feel free to laugh in the face of danger and walk beneath it while it rings.
Outside of Trinity College, you’ll find a wealth of things to do. The campus is right near Grafton Street, famed for its many shopping and eating opportunities. In addition, you should pay a visit to the National Wax Museum, or step aboard the sailing ship Jeanie Johnston, a replica of the vessels that carried hundreds of thousands of immigrants to the New World in the 1800s.

Day 7 in Taiwan, was one of our best days so far. Ying and I woke up at our new hotel, and we decided to go on a quick day trip to Beitou hot springs, a famous area in Taipei, where there’s a natural hot water spring, and home to quite a lot of history, attractions and relaxing hotels. It was very easy to get from central Taipei to Beitou by using public transportation on the train, and it took about 30 minutes to get from central Taipei to Xin Beitou station. From Xin Beitou station, we walked over to the hot springs area.
2:15 Beitou Public Library
The first place we arrived on our day trip to Beitou hot springs was the Beitou Public Library. The library is fully in use, but the reason it’s popular to visit and it’s kind of an attraction is because of its unique architecture and its eco friendly design. We didn’t spend more than a few minutes there, but just looked at it from the outside and then took a quick peek inside.
2:45 Beitou Hot Springs Museum
One of the main attractions at Beitou is the hot springs museum, originally the original Japanese bathhouse in Beitou. It’s not a huge museum, and the price is free, so it’s a good place to just check out for a few minutes before moving on.
3:29 Beitou Plum Garden
I thought it was just going to be a garden with plums, but it was actually the former home of a famous Chinese calligrapher. The house was another quick stop on our day trip, but worth the quick visit.
3:52 Beitou Hot Springs - Public Bath
The time finally came to visit the main attraction at Beitou, the hot springs. They have many higher end spas and hotels with private baths, but I went for the public Taiwanese style hot spring bath. They didn’t allow any photography inside, but it was pretty nice and I enjoyed soaking in the natural hot water for a few minutes before moving on with our day.
4:54 Thermal Valley
One of the most famous things to see in Beitou is the Thermal Valley, a big pool of water that’s boiling hot and is the source of the hot springs for Beitou. The water is really hot and there’s not swimming so it’s more of just a viewpoint and a place to take photos.
While there, we met up with Joe, Raymond, and his Father, by random chance. They were visiting from California and were spending the day at the Beitou hot springs and were en-route to have lunch and go to another hot spring and invited us to go along with them.
6:32 Epic Taiwanese Country Style Farm Lunch
Along with Joe, Raymond, and his Father, we drove through the mountains and after about 45 minutes we arrived at a small local style hot spring where we were going to have lunch. They did all the ordering and we were soon faced with what was one of the best Taiwanese food meals I had the entire trip to Taiwan. All the food was home style cooked, and tasted very country style, and everything was delicious. I especially enjoyed the deer on the hot plate and the roast quail.
On Day 7 in Taiwan, we planned to just take a day trip to Beitou hot springs, but completely unplanned, it turned into one of the best days of our trip and one of the best meals as well.
