In 2011, Aedas was involved in the Well-being Movement (幸福由"深"出發運動) organised by Sham Shui Po District Social Welfare Office of the Social Welfare Department. We utilised our design ability to promote "Gratitude, "Hope", "Open-mindedness" and "Resilience" and through this programme, were able to help the community. To further promote our core value of "Hope", we have since collaborated with Hong Kong Christian Service (HKCS) and created a new project called "Create Positive Energy Everywhere" in 2013. Using the theory of Positive Psychology with Thanksgiving, Hope, and Love as themes, the project aims to mobilise and inspire the public to make Energy Cards that give their best wishes to others, in turn spreading positive energy throughout Hong Kong. Aedas will sponsor the programme which includes the design of the Energy Cards, publicity material, and all associated costs. Aedas will also donate HK$5 for each Energy Card received to set up a "Talent Fund" for talent and art development for disadvantaged children and youth. Keith Griffiths, Member of the Board, Aedas International, said: "At Aedas we believe that great design can only be delivered by people with a deep social and cultural understanding of the communities they are designing for, and the same philosophy applies to corporate social responsibility programmes. Aedas is proud to support this programme that addresses the social and cultural needs of the communities we are serving." Aedas has also placed a collection box for Energy Cards in the office, encouraged colleagues to draw a creative Energy Card, and spread the blessings and care. We are glad that this programme has been officially launched on 23 May 2013 at HKCS Children's Creative Arts Exhibition - Arts Galore. Through the Exhibition, artists, children and visitors were invited to draw the Energy Cards. Apple Tse, Head of Corporate Affairs and Development Office from HKCS shared: "Since the launch of the programme a week ago, we have received replies from 80 corporations and schools to join the programme, and over 20,000 Energy Cards distributed. The response is overwhelming and we believe more people will join us to spread the positive energy. " Since the launch of the project, we have received approximately 18,000 cards throughout Hong Kong. The project will not be as successful without Aedas' profound commitment towards community work in Hong Kong.
