Taylor York

Taylor Benjamin York (born December 17, 1989) is an American musician, songwriter, and guitarist for American rock band Paramore. His brother Justin is a touring member of Relient K and Paramore.

Biography

York was born on December 17, 1989 and raised in Nashville, Tennessee. His father is Peter York, a music executive at Sparrow Records who is also a guitarist, and taught the instrument to both Taylor and his brother Justin.

York had been in a band with the Farro brothers (Josh Farro and Zac Farro) before the two met Hayley Williams, and took part in writing songs such as "Conspiracy" from their debut album, All We Know is Falling. York has played with Paramore since 2007.

York has stated that his favorite bands include mewithoutYou, Radiohead, Kent, Yann Tiersen, At the Drive-In, Failure, Björk, Kadawatha and Paper Route.

Paramore

Taylor had done backup vocals when he was younger for All We Know is Falling. He joined Paramore after the departure of Hunter Lamb in 2007 as their rhythm guitarist. In the liner notes for the group's second album, Riot!, Hayley Williams, Josh Farro, Zac Farro included him on their list of 'thank-you's.

York

York (ⁱ/ˈjɔːrk/) is a historic walled city at the confluence of the rivers Ouse and Foss in North Yorkshire, England, and is the traditional county town of Yorkshire to which it gives its name. The city has a rich heritage and has provided the backdrop to major political events in England throughout much of its two millennia of existence. In recent decades, the economy of York has moved from being dominated by its confectionery and railway-related industries to one that provides services. The University of York and health services have become major employers, whilst tourism has become an important element of the local economy.

Honda Civic

The Honda Civic is a line of compact cars manufactured by Honda. Originally a subcompact, the Civic has gone through several generational changes, becoming both larger and more upmarket. It currently falls between the Honda Fit and Honda Accord.

The first Civic was introduced in July 1972 as a two-door model, followed by a three-door hatchback that September. With an 1169 cc transverse engine and front-wheel drive like the British Mini, the car provided good interior space despite overall small dimensions. Initially gaining a reputation for being fuel-efficient, reliable, and environmentally friendly, later iterations have become known for performance and sportiness, especially the Civic Type R, Civic VTi, Civic GTi and Civic SiR/Si.

The Civic has been repeatedly rebadged for international markets, and served as the basis for the Honda CR-X, the Honda CR-X del Sol, the Honda Concerto, the first generation Honda Prelude, the Honda Civic Shuttle (later to become the Honda Orthia), and the Honda CR-V.
