Shelby William Storck (October 3, 1916 – April 5, 1969) was an American newscaster, actor, writer, journalist, public relations specialist, and motion picture and television producer-director. He was a radio actor on The Air Adventures of Jimmie Allen and other programs, and appeared in the feature films The Delinquents and The Cool and the Crazy.
A descendant of General Joseph O. Shelby, Shelby Storck was born in Kansas City, Missouri and graduated from the University of Kansas City, now the University of Missouri-Kansas City, in 1937. Storck worked as a newscaster for the Kansas City Star and its affiliated radio station WDAF from 1939 until he joined the Navy in 1942. A Navy pilot, he rose to the rank of lieutenant before being honorably discharged in 1945. Two of his years of service had been in the Mediterranean theater, where he saw action during World War II.
On returning to Kansas City, Storck rejoined WDAF and again became a newscaster but soon moved on to become a member of the staff of T. R. Finn & Associates, a Kansas City company, as its publicity director. He was assistant director of education and organization for the Consumers Cooperative Association from 1947 to 1949 and was public relations director and assistant manager of the North Kansas City Development Company in 1949 and 1950. He was also a semi-professional actor in local radio, television, civic theater, and in films made in the Kansas City area. Storck's first wife, the former Barbara Marsh, died of bulbar polio in 1950. He later established a Barbara Storck Memorial award for poetry at the University of Kansas City in her memory.

Centron Corporation of Lawrence, Kansas brings us this dramatic tale of a sweet little old lady who falls into the clutches of a quack doctor. Through the efforts of the mighty American Medical Association and its bureau of investigation, the charlatan's fraudulent practices are exposed and he is brought to justice. This 1950s gem was directed by Herk Harvey, who later went on to make the cult classic "Carnival of Souls." Speaking of people involved in "Carnival of Souls," Mr. and Mrs. Wilkens in this film are played by Art Ellison and Frances Feist, respectively. Others in the cast are Shelby Storck as Dr. Jim, Don Dixon as Dr. Jacksburg, and Bette Booth as Grace. Arden Booth narrates.
Young David is quite excited about his promotion to captain of the school safety patrol, and tells us at length about the various responsibilities and inner workings involved. Let's hope that all of this power does not go to his head. This 1950s educational film was sponsored by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety and produced by the Calvin Company of Kansas City, Missouri. Local thespians Shelby Storck (as the police captain) and Twila Pollard (as David's teacher) make appearances.

This is a video recreation of Monty Pythons famous "The Piranha Brothers" sketch. This sketch first aired on 09/15/70. It is on episode #14, which was the first episode of season 2. This video was shot about 15 years ago (circa 1994) in Hi8 format, and since I did not have a real editing suite at the time, was originally edited "Punch and Crunch" style. It is fairly primitive as a result. I have re-edited as possible, but the discerning viewer will note what looks like a sloppy edit. Sorry, this is because the some of the video clips just no longer exist. This is a very special version performed by "The Ruude Boys": Jeff Storck as the interviewer, Eric Storck as Mrs. Simnel & Luigi Vercotti, Mark Eaton as Harry "Snapper" Organs & Gloria, David Shelby as Vince "Snetterton" Lewis, Tom B...

Like many other Centron venereal disease films, Innocent Party focuses on the morality and emotions associated with venereal disease rather than the medical aspects. The actual mechanics of syphilis transmission are only briefly mentioned let alone prevention via condom use, yet the shame and anguish are clear for all to see. This film echoes the common theme found in many venereal disease films - that premarital sex leads to VD. A rare Centron color educational film, as Centron normally only used color for its industrial productions. But this wasn't just any regular educational film. It was an important script on venereal disease commissioned by the Kansas State Board of Health. In fact, it was the first VD film aimed specifically at teenagers. Don, played by Harper Barnes (Ron in "The S...
