A couple of weeks ago during my show on Hidden Treasures I said that I thought that there were great opportunities of finding real bargains in art, but that I thought the field was a little harzardous for most people, as you almost had to be born to be an art dealer. Ever siince I said that I've regretted it. So I've done this week's program on trying to find ways for members to determine for themselves whether they're cut out for this category. This week's show, then, is designed to test whether or not viewers can make themselves ready to, say, buy a painting for $15,000 that askart leads you to believe is worth $100,000. How do you gain the confidence in yourself to make that play? So, I've chosen 3 paintings, all very different from each other, to test everyone on. Only you will know whether you pass the test.

Dishonored is an upcoming first-person stealth action adventure video game being developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released worldwide in October 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, beginning in North America on October 9.[6]
Set in the fictional industrial city of Dunwall, modeled after Victorian London, Dishonored follows Corvo Attano, a legendary bodyguard to the Empress who is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin to seek revenge on those who conspired against him. Attano is aided in his quest by the Outsider, a powerful being who imbues him with magical abilities. Several actors provide voice work for the game, including Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher, and Chloë Grace Moretz.
The game is played from a first-person perspective and allows the player to tackle a series of assassination missions in a variety of ways, with an emphasis on player choice. Missions can be tackled by stealth, combat or a combination of both. Exploring levels opens new paths and alternatives for accomplishing mission goals, and it is possible to complete all missions and eliminate all of Attano's targets in a non-lethal manner. The story and missions are modified based on violent actions, or lack thereof, committed by the player. Magical abilities and equipment are designed to be combined to create new and varied effects.
Setting
Dishonored takes place in the industrial city of Dunwall, modeled after late 1800s-early 1900s London and Edinburgh, that is ruled over by an oppressive regime following the assassination of the city's Empress and the kidnapping of her daughter. In the city, technology and otherworldly forces coexist. Dunwall is a center for fishing and whaling, with whale oil a valuable resource necessary for powering the city.[4][26][27][28][29] Following philosopher Esmond Roseburrow's discovery of whale oil's use as a fuel—known in the city as trans—the government used it to develop powerful weaponry which in turn bred government corruption.[30] The city is stricken with a plague spread by rats and dogs that is killing the poor and isolating the rich. The infected, known as "Weepers", cry blood and can become violent against others.[31] The government uses the plague as an excuse to take or purge citizens as they wish.[17][32] Order is maintained by the Tallboys, heavily armored officers on tall, mechanical legs, and districts are separated by Walls of Light, barriers made of energy that disintegrate those that attempt to cross them.[17][31] A covert group of activists, the Loyalists, plot to overthrow the government and install the Empress' daughter as the city's leader.[29]

The main character of Dishonored is Corvo Attano, the legendary former bodyguard to Dunwall's Empress Jessamine Kaldwin, turned infamous assassin after he is framed for her murder. Corvo is skilled in stealth and combat, armed with unusual gadgets, and possesses great supernatural powers.[33][16][34] The game designers chose not to have Corvo speak so that the player can project themselves onto the character.[33] The cast also includes Granny Rags (Susan Sarandon), a former aristocrat now blind and deranged after years of living on the streets; Piero (Brad Dourif), an inventor who builds Corvo's mask and supplies him with gadgets; Admiral Havelock (John Slattery), the Loyalist leader and ally to Corvo;[29] Daud (Michael Madsen), an assassin; and Calista (Lena Headey) a caretaker for the Empress' daughter Young Lady Emily (Chloë Grace Moretz). Carrie Fisher provides the voice of the loudspeakers found throughout the city relaying government propaganda.[3][35] Corvo is offered aid in his quest by The Outsider (Billy Lush), described as a mixture of God and the Devil, who imprints his mark on Corvo, imbuing him with magical abilities.[28] The Outsider also grants his mark to other characters, granting each different abilities.[24] Smith described the character as an amoral figure who grants abilities, but leaves the choice of how to use them up to the recipient.[36]

Dishonored is an upcoming first-person stealth action adventure video game being developed by Arkane Studios and published by Bethesda Softworks. It was released worldwide in October 2012 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, and Xbox 360, beginning in North America on October 9.[6]
Set in the fictional industrial city of Dunwall, modeled after Victorian London, Dishonored follows Corvo Attano, a legendary bodyguard to the Empress who is framed for her murder and forced to become an assassin to seek revenge on those who conspired against him. Attano is aided in his quest by the Outsider, a powerful being who imbues him with magical abilities. Several actors provide voice work for the game, including Susan Sarandon, Brad Dourif, Carrie Fisher, and Chloë Grace Moretz.
The game is played from a first-person perspective and allows the player to tackle a series of assassination missions in a variety of ways, with an emphasis on player choice. Missions can be tackled by stealth, combat or a combination of both. Exploring levels opens new paths and alternatives for accomplishing mission goals, and it is possible to complete all missions and eliminate all of Attano's targets in a non-lethal manner. The story and missions are modified based on violent actions, or lack thereof, committed by the player. Magical abilities and equipment are designed to be combined to create new and varied effects.
Setting
Dishonored takes place in the industrial city of Dunwall, modeled after late 1800s-early 1900s London and Edinburgh, that is ruled over by an oppressive regime following the assassination of the city's Empress and the kidnapping of her daughter. In the city, technology and otherworldly forces coexist. Dunwall is a center for fishing and whaling, with whale oil a valuable resource necessary for powering the city.[4][26][27][28][29] Following philosopher Esmond Roseburrow's discovery of whale oil's use as a fuel—known in the city as trans—the government used it to develop powerful weaponry which in turn bred government corruption.[30] The city is stricken with a plague spread by rats and dogs that is killing the poor and isolating the rich. The infected, known as "Weepers", cry blood and can become violent against others.[31] The government uses the plague as an excuse to take or purge citizens as they wish.[17][32] Order is maintained by the Tallboys, heavily armored officers on tall, mechanical legs, and districts are separated by Walls of Light, barriers made of energy that disintegrate those that attempt to cross them.[17][31] A covert group of activists, the Loyalists, plot to overthrow the government and install the Empress' daughter as the city's leader.[29]

Corvo is skilled in stealth and combat, armed with unusual gadgets, and possesses great supernatural powers.[33][16][34] The game designers chose not to have Corvo speak so that the player can project themselves onto the character.[33] The cast also includes Granny Rags (Susan Sarandon), a former aristocrat now blind and deranged after years of living on the streets; Piero (Brad Dourif), an inventor who builds Corvo's mask and supplies him with gadgets; Admiral Havelock (John Slattery), the Loyalist leader and ally to Corvo;[29] Daud (Michael Madsen), an assassin; and Calista (Lena Headey) a caretaker for the Empress' daughter Young Lady Emily (Chloë Grace Moretz). Carrie Fisher provides the voice of the loudspeakers found throughout the city relaying government propaganda.[3][35] Corvo is offered aid in his quest by The Outsider (Billy Lush), described as a mixture of God and the Devil, who imprints his mark on Corvo, imbuing him with magical abilities.[28] The Outsider also grants his mark to other characters, granting each different abilities.[24] Smith described the character as an amoral figure who grants abilities, but leaves the choice of how to use them up to the recipient.[36]

You are an analyst for an authorized Greenwich Workshop® fine art dealer (www.greenwichworkshop.com). Customers are especially fond of James C. Christensen’s art. The Subtotals worksheet contains a list of artwork released in 2010-2012. You want to calculate subtotals by Type of art (e.g. Limited Edition Canvas) for Issue Price and Est. Price. The Art worksheet contains artwork from 2004-2006. Studying this data will help you discuss value trends with art collectors.
Instructions:
For the purpose of grading the project you are required to perform the following tasks:
Step Instructions Points Possible
1 Start Excel. Open the downloaded Excel file named exploring_e05_grader_h1_start.xlsx. 0
2 In the Subtotals worksheet, sort the data by Type and then by Name of Art, both in alphabetical order.
Hint: On the DATA tab, in the Sort & Filter group, click Sort. 5
3 In the Subtotals worksheet, use the Subtotals feature to identify the highest Issue Price and Est. Value, for each different value of Type.
Hint: On the DATA tab, in the Outline group, click Subtotal. 5
4 Use the Art worksheet to create a blank PivotTable on a new worksheet named PivotTable. 5
5 Include the Type, Release Date, and Issue Price fields in the PivotTable. Remove the Release Date field and add the Est. Value field to the PivotTable. 5
6 Modify the two VALUES fields to determine the Average Issue Price and Average Est. Value instead of the Sum. Change the custom name to Average Issue Price and Average Est. Value, respectively. 10
7 Format the two VALUES fields with Accounting Number type with zero decimal places. 5
8 Insert a calculated field on the right side of the PivotTable that displays the difference between the Est. Value and Issue Price, as a percentage of Issue Price.
Hint: On the ANALYZE tab, in the Calculations group, click Fields, Items & Sets, and then click Calculated Field. In the Insert Calculated Field, type:
= ('Est. Value'-'Issue Price')/'Issue Price'
in the Formula box. 5
9 Format the calculated field with Percent type with two decimal places. Use the custom name Percentage Change. 5
10 Type Type in cell A3 and Overall Averages in the cell containing the text Grand Total. 5
11 Set a filter to display only sold-out art (indicated by Yes). 5
12 Apply Pivot Style Medium 5, display banded columns, and display banded rows. 10

You are an analyst for an authorized Greenwich Workshop® fine art dealer (www.greenwichworkshop.com). Customers are especially fond of James C. Christensen’s art. The Subtotals worksheet contains a list of artwork released in 2010-2012. You want to calculate subtotals by Type of art (e.g. Limited Edition Canvas) for Issue Price and Est. Price. The Art worksheet contains artwork from 2004-2006. Studying this data will help you discuss value trends with art collectors.
Instructions:
For the purpose of grading the project you are required to perform the following tasks:
Step Instructions Points Possible
1 Start Excel. Open the downloaded Excel file named exploring_e05_grader_h1_start.xlsx. 0
2 In the Subtotals worksheet, sort the data by Type and then by Name of Art, both in alphabetical order.
Hint: On the DATA tab, in the Sort & Filter group, click Sort. 5
3 In the Subtotals worksheet, use the Subtotals feature to identify the highest Issue Price and Est. Value, for each different value of Type.
Hint: On the DATA tab, in the Outline group, click Subtotal. 5
4 Use the Art worksheet to create a blank PivotTable on a new worksheet named PivotTable. 5
5 Include the Type, Release Date, and Issue Price fields in the PivotTable. Remove the Release Date field and add the Est. Value field to the PivotTable. 5
6 Modify the two VALUES fields to determine the Average Issue Price and Average Est. Value instead of the Sum. Change the custom name to Average Issue Price and Average Est. Value, respectively. 10
7 Format the two VALUES fields with Accounting Number type with zero decimal places. 5
8 Insert a calculated field on the right side of the PivotTable that displays the difference between the Est. Value and Issue Price, as a percentage of Issue Price.
Hint: On the ANALYZE tab, in the Calculations group, click Fields, Items & Sets, and then click Calculated Field. In the Insert Calculated Field, type:

Q: Can you quit after you have collected a painting?
A: No, I don't think it will count if you save and quit after collecting a painting (unless it's the last one you need). You will need to complete the entire mission before the collected Painting is saved. After you complete a mission, you can check your stats in the Main Menu of the game, and can see whether you collected all the paintings for that mission or not. I could be wrong on this, but it's difficult to say; it's just easier to complete the mission to be sure.
