Eddie Collins played 25 seasons in the Major Leagues -- a 20th-century record for position players. The fiery second baseman starred in the famous $100,000 infield in Philadelphia and also for the Chicago White Sox. The choke-grip batting style Collins used proved fruitful. For 10 seasons, he batted over .340, helping him earn membership in the exclusive 3,000-hit club. An aggressive and confident second baseman, he was also an outstanding baserunner.

First off, this video is indeed my biggest and best video to this date in my opinion. I have been training for one year now! and im proud to say it. Throughout my journey i have not only developed skills and a new mind set about everything, i have also found the way i want to live my life, and i found the friends i want to be with the rest of my life! We have our own little family
I have accomplished so much over the past year. I have started a youtube channel, I have become sponsored by WFPF as a Hot Shot, Im traveling A LOT, and I have been meeting new people everyday from all over, etc. Without parkour i would not have done any of these things and most likely wouldnt have even heard of them if it wasnt for this group of traceurs in my hometown. I watched their videos all the time and admired them but sadly they left they freerunning world and chose a different path in life.

The Paul Collins Beat, Monty Hall performance July 22, 2016. The Beat was founded by Paul Collins, who spent his pre-teens living in Greece, Vietnam and Europe before returning to his native New York. He studied at the prestigious Julliard Music School and eventually moved to San Francisco where he joined songwriter Jack Lee and bassist Peter Case to form The Nerves in 1974. The Nerves proved to be one of the pioneers of the burgeoning US punk rock scene, independently releasing their own 4 song EP which included the classic “Hanging on the Telephone,” later to become a hit for Blondie.
After The Nerves disbanded in 1977, Collins moved to LA and formed The Beat with bassist Steve Huff, drummer Mike Ruiz and lead guitarist Larry Whitman. Their friend Eddie Money recommended The Beat for management by legendary concert promoter Bill Graham. Under new management, The Beat toured with The Police, The Jam and Joe Jackson. They also made numerous TV appearances and recorded their debut self-titled album with producer Bruce Botnick (who had produced The Doors). The album featured Beatles and Byrds-influenced guitars and catchy choruses, defining the skinny-tied power pop which The Knack took to the charts. In the ’90s, The Beat re-formed as Paul Collins’ Beat and continues to write and tour.

Eddie Collins
Edward Trowbridge Collins, Sr. (May 2, 1887 – March 25, 1951), nicknamed "Cocky", was an American Major League Baseball second baseman, manager and executive. He played from 1906 to 1930 for the Philadelphia Athletics and Chicago White Sox. A graduate of Columbia University, Collins holds major league career records in several categories and is among the top few players in several other categories.
Collins coached and managed in the major leagues after retiring as a player. He also served as general manager of the Boston Red Sox. He was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1939. He died several years later after having suffered from heart problems for a number of years.
Early life
As a native of Millerton, a 384-acre village in Dutchess County, New York, Collins was unique in his time in that he was focused on both his athletic skills and his education and intelligence. He graduated from Columbia University (where he was a member of Beta Theta Pi fraternity), at a time when few major league players had attended college.

Hall of fame
A hall of fame is a structure housing memorials to famous or illustrious individuals in a certain field, usually chosen by a group of electors. The meaning of "fame" has changed over the years, originally meaning "renown" as opposed to today's more common meaning of "celebrity".
In some cases, these halls of fame consist of actual halls or museums which enshrine the honorees with sculptures, plaques, and displays of memorabilia and general information regarding the inducted recipient/s. Sometimes, the honorees' plaques may instead be posted on a wall (hence a '"wall of fame") or inscribed on a sidewalk (as in a "walk of fame" or an "avenue of fame"). In others, the hall of fame is more figurative and just simply consists of a list of names of noteworthy individuals (or sometimes groups, for ex. Sporting groups or Rock groups) maintained by an organization or community or honouring its inducted members legacy or legend.
The English-language term was popularised in the United States by the Hall of Fame for Great Americans at Bronx Community College, in New York City, completed in 1900. Its inspiration is the Ruhmeshalle ("Hall of Fame") in Munich, Germany. The Walhalla memorial in Bavaria, Germany, is an even earlier hall of fame, conceived in 1807 and built from 1900 to 1907.

National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum
The National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum is an American history museum and hall of fame, located at 25 Main Street in Cooperstown, New York, and operated by private interests. It serves as the central point for the study of the history of baseball in the United States and beyond, displays baseball-related artifacts and exhibits, and honors those who have excelled in playing, managing, and serving the sport. The Hall's motto is "Preserving History, Honoring Excellence, Connecting Generations."
The word Cooperstown is often used as shorthand (or a metonym) for the National Baseball Hall of Fame and Museum.
History
The Hall of Fame was founded in 1939 by Stephen Carlton Clark, the owner of a local hotel. Clark had sought to bring tourists to a city hurt by the Great Depression, which reduced the local tourist trade, and Prohibition, which devastated the local hops industry. A new building was constructed, and the Hall of Fame was dedicated on June 12, 1939. (Clark's granddaughter, Jane Forbes Clark, is the current chairman of the Board of Directors.)

Plot: The great Chicago White Sox team of 1919 is the saddest team to ever win a pennant. The team is bitter at their penny pincher owner, Charles Comiskey, and at their own teammates. But Buck Weaver and the great Shoeless Joe Jackson turn back at the last minute and try to play their best. The Sox actually almost come back from a 3-1 deficit. Two years later, the truth breaks out and the Sox are sued on multiple counts. They are found innocent by the jury but baseball commissioner Landis has other plans. Plot: In 1911, 'Grover Cleveland Alexander' (qv) - Alex to his friends - is a Nebraska country hayseed who says he wants to settle down, marry his girlfriend Aimee Arrants and be a farmer to offer Aimee a secure and stable life. However he always seems to drop everything whenever the opportunity to play baseball, specifically as a pitcher, arises. This focus on baseball does not sit well with either Aimee or her father, who see it as Alex solely wanting to have fun while shirking responsibility. When Alex is asked to pitch in a game against a visiting professional team, he seizes the chance and throws a three hitter en route to winning the game. That leads to a stint on that pro team, the money from which he promises to use to buy Aimee her farm. When an eye injury seems to end his career even before it begins, he changes his focus to being a farmer to please his now wife 'Aimee Alexander' (qv), but thoughts of baseball that can never be in his life still torture him. When his injury does eventually heal a year later, Aimee now wants him to do what makes him happy, which is to pitch. His contract now with the Philadelphia Phillies, Alex's rise in major league baseball with the Phillies and then the Chicago Cubs is meteoric. But some things threaten his career, such as World War I, insecurity about his previous injury and the resulting turn to alcohol. He's going to need Aimee's support to help him through this down slide to his possible redemption.

Throughout my journey i have not only developed skills and a new mind set about everything, i have also found the way i want to live my life, and i found the friends i want to be with the rest of my life! We have our own little family
I have accomplished so much over the past year. I have started a youtube channel, I have become sponsored by WFPF as a Hot Shot, Im traveling A LOT, and I have been meeting new people everyday from all over, etc. Without parkour i would not have done any of these things and most likely wouldnt have even heard of them if it wasnt for this group of traceurs in my hometown. I watched their videos all the time and admired them but sadly they left they freerunning world and chose a different path in life.

The Paul Collins Beat, Monty Hall performance July 22, 2016. The Beat was founded by Paul Collins, who spent his pre-teens living in Greece, Vietnam and Europe before returning to his native New York. He studied at the prestigious Julliard Music School and eventually moved to San Francisco where he joined songwriter Jack Lee and bassist Peter Case to form The Nerves in 1974. The Nerves proved to be one of the pioneers of the burgeoning US punk rock scene, independently releasing their own 4 song EP which included the classic “Hanging on the Telephone,” later to become a hit for Blondie.
After The Nerves disbanded in 1977, Collins moved to LA and formed The Beat with bassist Steve Huff, drummer Mike Ruiz and lead guitarist Larry Whitman. Their friend Eddie Money recommended The Beat for management by legendary concert promoter Bill Graham. Under new management, The Beat toured with The Police, The Jam and Joe Jackson. They also made numerous TV appearances and recorded their debut self-titled album with producer Bruce Botnick (who had produced The Doors). The album featured Beatles and Byrds-influenced guitars and catchy choruses, defining the skinny-tied power pop which The Knack took to the charts. In the ’90s, The Beat re-formed as Paul Collins’ Beat and continues to write and tour.

Eddie Collins played 25 seasons in the Major Leagues -- a 20th-century record for position players. The fiery second baseman starred in the famous $100,000 infield in Philadelphia and also for the Chicago White Sox. The choke-grip batting style Collins used proved fruitful. For 10 seasons, he batted over .340, helping him earn membership in the exclusive 3,000-hit club. An aggressive and confident second baseman, he was also an outstanding baserunner.

Throughout my journey i have not only developed skills and a new mind set about everything, i have also found the way i want to live my life, and i found the friends i want to be with the rest of my life! We have our own little family
I have accomplished so much over the past year. I have started a youtube channel, I have become sponsored by WFPF as a Hot Shot, Im traveling A LOT, and I have been meeting new people everyday from all over, etc. Without parkour i would not have done any of these things and most likely wouldnt have even heard of them if it wasnt for this group of traceurs in my hometown. I watched their videos all the time and admired them but sadly they left they freerunning world and chose a different path in life.

The Paul Collins Beat, Monty Hall performance July 22, 2016. The Beat was founded by Paul Collins, who spent his pre-teens living in Greece, Vietnam and Europe before returning to his native New York. He studied at the prestigious Julliard Music School and eventually moved to San Francisco where he joined songwriter Jack Lee and bassist Peter Case to form The Nerves in 1974. The Nerves proved to be one of the pioneers of the burgeoning US punk rock scene, independently releasing their own 4 song EP which included the classic “Hanging on the Telephone,” later to become a hit for Blondie.
After The Nerves disbanded in 1977, Collins moved to LA and formed The Beat with bassist Steve Huff, drummer Mike Ruiz and lead guitarist Larry Whitman. Their friend Eddie Money recommended The Beat for management by legendary concert promoter Bill Graham. Under new management, The Beat toured with The Police, The Jam and Joe Jackson. They also made numerous TV appearances and recorded their debut self-titled album with producer Bruce Botnick (who had produced The Doors). The album featured Beatles and Byrds-influenced guitars and catchy choruses, defining the skinny-tied power pop which The Knack took to the charts. In the ’90s, The Beat re-formed as Paul Collins’ Beat and continues to write and tour.
