Belgium: Bruges and Brussels
We start in Bruges to check into a medieval hospital, savor the exquisite art of Memling, and climb a bell tower, getting up close and fortissimo at a carillon concert. Then we ride the train to Brussels, where passionate chefs — creators of French fries and Europe's finest chocolate — give us a taste of their art.

Brussels is the capital of Belgium and the de facto capital of the European Union (EU). It is also the largest urban area in Belgium, comprising 19 municipalities, including the municipality of the City of Brussels, which is the de jure capital of Belgium, in addition to the seat of the French Community of Belgium and of the Flemish Community.
The most important places to visit in Brussels: The Atomium (amongst the world's most fascinating buildings, represents a cell of iron crystal magnified 165 billion times. You can even take a walk inside), Manneken Pis (simply put, a statue of a boy urinating. No one expected a famous Brussels landmark. Often it's adorned with costumes), Royal greenhouses (built all the way back in 1873, it's a massive complex of greenhouse domes and galleries that showcase many rare plants and flowers), Royal Palace (currently the offices of Belgian monarchy, this present structure was constructed in the 19th century), Grand Palace (spend an evening in Europe's most beautiful square. Few other places in the world can match its architectural splendor) and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Brussels travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.

http://www.aswetravel.com/brussels-belgium-travel-video/ Brussels, Belgium - Europe Train Challenge. Brussels, the city where all the important decisions about Europe are made, I expected boring seriousness and grey suits, not random street parties to appear out of nowhere. We’ve just arrived in Brussels. It’s a lovely day here. It’s really loud. We’ve come from Amsterdam. So, we’ll walk around and enjoy this wonderful City. It seems pretty lively, it’s cool. We’re walking down the streets, around the streets in Brussels, and we are looking for that Manneken Pis statue, a little boy peeing apparently. Okay, so, here we go. This is the most popular attraction in Brussels, and yea, it’s kind of funny I think ‘cause it’s such a small statue, and it has such a big reputation and it’s so popular. I knew it was going to be small but not that small. Let’s go and check out the Grand Place, apparently it’s absolutely beautiful. I think it’s around the corner. And this square is absolutely incredible. It’s called the Grand Place and, I don’t know. I was never really a guy for architecture. I didn’t really care about buildings or seeing those things, but walking in here for the first time last night, it was just, I was shocked. The detailed description of every single building is actually blowing me away. I’m actually really impressed.
I’m not normally impressed about these kind of things so Sophia’s bought the original Belgian waffle. Normal waffle. I’ve got the extra tourist waffle. If you can see on there, it’s full of a lot of extra stuff. It’s kind of good for ya’. How does yours taste? It’s really good. Want to try? How do you eat this thing? Good? This is lunch today in Belgium. We’ve been going around like thirty different chocolate shops, and it’s just overwhelming. There are so many different chocolates you don’t know where to start or which one to choose. Yeah. It’s incredible but, sometimes you wish there was only one you could choose. It would make it so much easier. Maybe we should go to that one, or that one. I don’t know. Overwhelming. If you like fruit we have pineapple, banana, pistachio, lemon. Okay, why not pineapple I was thinking? Mint chocolate. Banana? Yes! Yum, should I have one right now? I’ll have a little bite. I’ll try this one. Wow. This is real chocolate. This is the real thing, huh? Yeah. Let’s taste a few of these then. Alright, show them first. That’s what it looks like. Looks so good. They’re so big as well. Yeah, you’re going to try it? I want to try that one. Is it good? Wow. That’s fresh.
We’ve spent the day walking around Brussels, we done a lot of cool things, seen some cool buildings, and ate a lot of fresh Belgian chocolate so we’re exhausted, tired, full of chocolate. But there is this pub around the corner that claims to have over 2000 different varieties of beer. So we’re going to go check it out, relax, and end our wonderful day in Brussels. We’re in this bar that has over 2000 different varieties of beer, and we decided to pick what many tourists say tastes like spew. The Belgians here in Brussels, they love it. Tourists say it tastes like spew, so we had to buy it. What’s it called? Beer, whose only made in Brussels, not even Belgium, Brussels. So yea, it’s made only in Brussels, and there is no added sugar so apparently it tastes sour. Let’s just check it out. It’s not fizzy either. It tastes like there’s a lemon in there or something. I don’t know it’s just a bitter afterwards, really really sour. It is sour, I wouldn’t say it tastes like spew, it actually tastes pretty good I think. So we’re going to sit here, probably buy a few more beers that are not this one. It will be nice to try some of the 2000 they’ve got here. **** for the evening and we’ll see you next time in Luxembourg.
wn.com/Brussels, Belgium As We Travel Europe
http://www.aswetravel.com/brussels-belgium-travel-video/ Brussels, Belgium - Europe Train Challenge.

Brussels, being the center of the European Union, is not only the capital of Belgium, but of whole Europe. The mediaval city core and square determine the atmosphere of the whole city. The Grand Palace is surrounded by magnificent baroque buildings, which were once centers of famous guilds. The building of the City Hall is remerkably beautiful. Not far away stands the Menneken Pils, one of the symbols of Brussels. In the elegant passages and on the streets one can find such Belgian rarities as lace, pralines, and beer. The most notable sights in the city are the Parliament and the City Hall, but we must not forget the Museums showing us the works of the authors of the Low Countries. Near the triumphal arch stands the famous Atomium, which was the symbol of the 1958 World Fair. We can take memorable trips to Bokrijk cultural village, to the shore os Oostende, the site of the battle of Waterloo, and to the cities of Antwerpen and Gent. And finally to Bruges, a real tourists’ paradise with its red brick buildings.

http://www.visit.brussels - HOW IS LIFE IN BRUSSELS ? ASK SOMEONE IN BRUSSELS.
After Brussels was linked to terror plots, the international media portrayed the city as a warzone. visit.brussels wants to change this perception with an honest answer. We gave people in Brussels the opportunity to tell how life really is in the city.
From 7 January to 11 January, 12688 phone calls were made from 154 countries. The campaign was exported to the entire world: from neighbouring countries to The United States, Japan, Brazil and even Australia. 74 % were international phone calls.
The action was also widely followed on social media. The hashtag #CallBrussels was used all over the world and became the most popular hashtag in Belgium at its launch. Over 9,317,000 people have seen the hashtag.
Thank you very much for calling and see you soon in Brussels.

Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 Economy Class flight review from Brussels to Krakow - OO-SSI

This is a flight review of our Brussels Airlines Economy Class flight from Brussels Airport (BRU) to Krakow Airport (KRK) onboard a Brussels Airlines Airbus A319. We had flown into Brussels from Copenhagen and this was our connection flight to Krakow. Our flight departed from Gate 49 in concourse A. This was the same concourse our flight from Copenhagen Airport arrived in. Our Brusssels Airlines flight footage includes some short footage of Brussels airport, boarding from our gate, walking onto our aircraft (Airbus A319), pushback, takeoff, onboard cabin views, outdoor flight views, passenger cabin information including inflight meals, inflight drinks (or the lack of them) before we begin our descent and final approach towards Krakow Airport (John Paul II International Airport Kraków–Balice). The viewer then gets a view of our landing, some of the aircraft´s taxiing at the airport before rain makes it difficult to see out of the window (pity because there were many Polish Airforce planes lined up at the airport). We then include our tarmac disembarkation of our flight from the aircrafts rear door. We are them met by a bus which drives us to the airport arrivals terminal. The footage ends with some views of the baggage claim area before we round off with the arrivals area at Krakow Airport. Krakow Airport is currently undergoing a major modernisation.
The Brussels Airlines Airbus A319 (Airbus A319-112) we flew with had aircraft registration OO-SSI. This aircraft had her first flight in April 2009 and joined the Brussels Airlines fleet in March 2015. Prior to this the aircraft has also been operated by Hamburg International, Olympic Air and Aegean Airlines.
Wiki writes about Brussels Airlines, "Brussels Airlines is the flag carrier and largest airline of Belgium based and headquartered at Brussels Airport. The family includes the A318, A319, A320 and A321, as well as the ACJ business jet. The A320s are also named A320ceo (current engine option) after the introduction of the A320neo. Final assembly of the family in Europe takes place in Toulouse, France, and Hamburg, Germany. Starting in 2009, a plant in Tianjin, China, has also been producing aircraft for Chinese airlines. In April 2013, Airbus started construction of a new production facility for the A319, A320, and A321 variants in Mobile, Alabama. The aircraft family can accommodate up to 220 passengers and has a range of 3,100 to 12,000 km (1,700 to 6,500 nmi), depending on model....".

The most common theory of the origin of Brussels' name is that it derives from the Old Dutch Broekzele or Broeksel, meaning marsh (broek) and home (zele / sel) or "home in the marsh". The origin of the settlement that was to become Brussels lies in Saint Gaugericus' construction of a chapel on an island in the river Senne around 580. Saint Vindicianus, the bishop of Cambrai made the first recorded

From its breathtaking medieval centre to its 21st-century temple to Surrealism, the new Magritte Museum, Brussels offers the visitor a great deal more than just beer and chocolate and is resoundingly unlike its unfortunate staid image as the home of EU beaurocrats.
Indeed, Brussels is a creative, dynamic city. Its compact city centre is clustered with bars, restaurants and museums set along cobbled streets. Inevitably, most tourists head to the Grand-Place. With its ornate Flemish guild houses, impressive Town Hall and buzzing atmosphere, it would be difficult to find a more beautiful square in the whole of Europe. It deservedly is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is the city's crowning jewel. Wander next to the nearby Royal and Sablon districts teeming with art galleries and antique shops. Throw away your map and meander down a myriad side streets,
discovering flea markets, art-deco houses and boutique stores.
Léopold II's Parisian-style boulevards (Belliard and La Loi) are lined with embassies, banks and grand apartment buildings, while Sainte Cathérine, the Art Nouveau district of St-Gilles and Ixelles draw an arty crowd with their eclectic shops and restaurants.
The Bruxellois take pride in their self-effacing, intellectual sense of humour, underpinned by a strong appreciation of the bizarre. The city has a long-running love affair with the Surrealist art movement, pioneered by René Magritte, and with classic comic strips, epitomised by Hergé's boy hero, Tintin. There's a telling irony in the fact that the city's best-known landmark is the Manneken-Pis, a tiny statuette of a urinating boy.
Meanwhile, all of this sits alongside world-class collections of art, fabulous cooking including mussels, frites, waffles and whelks, some of Europe's best and unique beers (literally, there are thousands of varieties), and master-chocolatiers. When it comes to this confectionary, it pays to ignore the well-known brands such as Godiva or Neuhaus, and seek out the stylish boutique of the trendiest 'chocolatier', Pierre Marcolini who cnce a year, creates a limited-edition design.
The city's cultural calendar is packed with events for everyone from the massive, raucous Foire du Midi street fair every July teeming with stalls and fairground attractions to the legendary Christmas Market that takes centre stage in the Place Sainte Catherine with 240 stalls, a skating rink, a big wheel, and numerous rides. One of the biggest events is Art Brussels, showcasing the city's edgier, creative side and a hub for art connoisseurs from around the globe.
If you're a Euro-loving national, check out the European Quarter, centered around Schuman and the Berlaymont. Its liveliest part is the Place du Luxembourg: all its bars fill up around 6pm on week days with some of the 20,000 diplomats, politicians and civil servants who reside in the city after Brussels became the centre of international political following WWII.
Easily accessible by train from other major European cities, Brussels is also the gateway for day trips to Amsterdam, Ghent, Luxembourg, Antwerp and Bruges, among others, making it a fabulous two-centre destination.

Brussels Travel Guide - Brussels (French: Bruxelles, Dutch: Brussel) is the capital city of Belgium and of Brussels Capital Region. It is entirely surrounded by Dutch-speaking Flanders and its constituent Flemish Brabant province. As headquarters of many European institutions, Brussels might also be considered something of a capital for the European Union. Being at the crossroads of cultures (the Germanic in the North and the Romance in the South) and playing an important role in Europe, Brussels fits the definition of the archetypal "melting pot", but still retains its own unique character. The population of the city of Brussels is 1 million and the population of Brussels metropolitan area is just over 2 million.

On your next trip to Austria, pay a visit to its capital city of Vienna. During the late 19th and early 20th century, this city became a cultural epicenter of Europe, contributing art, philosophy, and culture on its way to becoming one of the world’s great cities.
During your Vienna sightseeing, you can drink coffee in the same cafes as Einstein and Freud, or wander down the streets that inspired Beethoven. Tour galleries devoted to some of the most magnificent artwork in all of Europe, then walk along the Ringstrasse. Also called “Ring Road,” this downtown boulevard home to private residences, palaces, and other exquisite examples of architecture for you to marvel at.
Much of Vienna tourism is centered in its cafes. This is not just because its residents love strong coffee—though they do—but because Viennese social life largely grows out of its coffee houses. Locals will spend hours at their favorite cafes, reading the paper, speaking to friends, working on projects, or listening to music in the evenings. Sit at a table and watch the people of Vienna stroll by, or enjoy a sachertorte, or chocolate cake, while catching up on your latest novel. It’s impossible to visit this city and not be inspired.
Vienna has long been called The City of Music. Find out why at the Vienna State Opera; a backstage tour will show you all the ins and outs of this majestic place, as well as give you a glimpse of why it has been at the forefront of entertainment since its construction in the 1800s. Afterward, head a few blocks south to the Volksgarten, or people’s garden. Stroll through its pathways and sniff the sweet fragrance of its hundreds of roses. What better way to end a day in one of the world’s most beautiful cities?
What was your favorite part of Vienna?

Saint Vindicianus, the bishop of Cambrai made the first recorded reference to the place "Brosella" in 695 when it was still a hamlet. The official founding of Brussels is usually situated around 979, when Duke Charles of Lower Lotharingia transferred the relics of Saint Gudula from Moorsel to the Saint Gaugericus chapel. Charles would construct the first permanent fortification in the city, doing so on that same island. (wikipedia)

Welcome to Copenhagen, Denmark! This stunning place is also called “The City of Spires,” and after arriving here, you’ll see why.
A tour of Copenhagen reveals cobblestone streets, beautiful canals, and many 16th and 17th-century buildings crowned by the aforementioned spires. Don’t let the archaic exterior of these buildings fool you; they house very modern restaurants, theaters, and shops, and you can easily spend days sampling seafood and coffees at the various eateries.
One of Copenhagen’s most beloved attractions is Tivoli Gardens, a theme park that dates back to 1843. Watch a pantomime, ride one of the oldest roller coasters, or just enjoy a trip in a dragon boat. After a few hours at Tivoli Gardens, continue your Copenhagen sightseeing in the city proper. Copenhagen is like something out of a fairy tale, full of multicolored houses and boats that tie up at Copenhagen’s wharves.
Next, rent a bike. With almost 250 miles of bicycle lanes, getting around two wheels is a healthy, athletic way to get to know the city. Ride your bike to Nyhavn, a waterfront district that dates back to the 17th century. This is the spot to make friends at the local pubs, or to simply sit and watch the boats go back and forth over the waters of the Oresund. Nyhavn is also home to “The Little Mermaid,” a statue fashioned after the titular character in the Hans Christian Andersen tale. Make sure you bring your camera, as the mermaid is a popular place for a photo op.

Take a tour of Brussels City Hall in Brussels, Belgium -- part of the World's Greatest Attractions travel video series by GeoBeats.
The kind of city hall that a city has says a lot about what kind of city it is.
The city hall of Brussels, Belgium reflects the city's reputation for beauty, history, and culture.
This ornate, Gothic building was originally constructed in the early years of the fifteenth century.
The soaring, airy tower, which is over 300 feet tall, was an added feature that replaced the belfry about fifty years after the initial construction.
The city hall has an asymmetrical design that is the result of differing stages of construction of the building.
Brussels' mayor still has his office here, following several renovation projects in the 20th century.

RICHMART VINTAGE project supporting the Bulgarian folklore dances and Bulgarian fashion industry, aiming to establish the brand “MADE IN BULGARIA”
THE MAGIC OF THE BULGARIAN FOLKLORE 4 ANCE CONQUERS THE WORLD! WHY NOT?
1. Establishing the national identity! Bulgarian folklore is the richest folklore in the world in terms of rhythms.
2. Bulgarian folklore dance is one issue which can unite all the Bulgarians in the world.
3. The economic benefits of the project – using the Bulgarian folklore dance we can gain global PR and advertisement of the Bulgarian folklore, tourism and industry as a whole, which would help the establishment of the brand “MADE IN BULGARIA”. /The Bulgarians abroad are 2 million alone. If everyone participates in the project, given it takes 100 people to form traditional Bulgarian dance – that would mean 20,000 videos of Bulgarian folklore dances. Considering the creation of one video costs around 5,000 euro, that would mean the whole campaign is worth 100,000,000 euro!/
4. Bulgarian folklore dances with their unique uneven rhythms are not only Bulgarian’s fortune, but world’s as well.
5. The uneven rhythms have positive impact on the human’s health – THE ACTIVE DANCERS DO NOT SUFFER FROM CANCER OR SPINAL CURVATURE!
Given a scientific explanation, this news would attract huge interest from the whole world!
6. Establishing new Bulgarian folklore dances clubs around the world – new style in the physical activity of a person, which prevents the spinal curvature and cancers.
Let us all celebrate the 24th of May 2015 – the holiday of Bulgarian culture with a traditional Bulgarian folklore dance!
Let us all create one video /length 1-3 minutes/ with Bulgarian folklore dance to support this campaign.
Please, upload the videos with the following name “...your personal name… I LOVE BULGARIAN FOLKLORE DANCES!”
Let us all create a huge media campaign – “Hold on, Earth, Bulgarians are dancing!” Together we can make the whole world look forward to the 24th of May!
We would like to invite all the Bulgarians throughout the world and all the friends of Bulgaria!

Brussels By Night - Full Movie
Max (40) leaves his house in the suburbs. He arrives in Brussels, a city he does not like because of its unfamiliarity. He drifts through its streets and meets Louis, an old work-mate, Alice, a would-be actress, and Abdel, a Moroccan tramdriver. A kind of relationship grows between the four 'heroes'. Sometimes this leads to tragedy. No-one gets out of it without any harm.
