The Bhavishya Purana (Sanskrit:Bhaviṣya Purāṇa is one of the eighteen major Hindu puranas. It is written in Sanskrit and attributed to Vyasa, the compiler of the Vedas. The title Bhavishya Purana signifies a work that contains prophecies regarding the future (Sanskrit: bhaviṣya). Despite being labelled a purana or "tales of ancient times", the work relates only a few legends. It is one of several puranas in which a list of royal dynasties of the "past" are followed by lists of kings predicted to rule in the future. The Padma Purana categorizes Bhavishya Purana as a Rajas Purana (Purana which represents passion). The text as it exists today is a composite of material ranging from very old to very recent. Portions of the extant text are drawn from the Manusmṛti, including its account of Creation. The Bhavishya Purana is classified as one of the ten Shaiva puranas in the classification system used in the Śivarahasya-khaṇḍa of the Śaṅkara Saṃhitā. In the traditional system of classification according to the three guṇas given in the Padma Purana,it is classified in the rajas category, which contains puranas whose central deity is Brahma.

The Bhavishya Purana is an ancient text authored by Sri Vyasa Muni, the compiler of the Vedic texts. It is listed among the eighteen major Puranas. Bhavishya means "future" and Purana means "history", so the text's name would translate literally as "The History of the Future". Though the text was written many thousands of years before the recorded events took place, by the power of his mystic vision, Sri Vyasa was able to accurately predict the happenings of the modern times. One of the text's poetic styles is to present the events as though they have already happened. This is a common practice in Sanskrit poetry, and does not indicate that the book was written in modern times. Modern scholars reject the contents of Bhavishya Purana mostly on the grounds that its information is too accurate. But we should ask ourselves: If there was an empowered saint, who knew past, present and future, and if he chose to write a book named "the History of the Future", shouldn't it contain accurate information about the modern times, as the title suggests? We cannot disqualify it simply because it speaks accurately of the British controlling India, Hitler fighting the world, and Max Mueller misrepresenting the Vedic teachings. "Veda" means knowledge, and the Vedic texts contain knowledge of everything - past, present and future.

In all the Vedic scripture, the position accorded to the Srimad Bhagavatam Mahapuran or the Bhagwat Katha is exceptional. The Vedas are, of course, the highest authority. However, Srimad Bhagavatam Mahapuran is like the essence of the Vedic teachings, written by Ved Vyas himself. Knowledge of Vedas and Upanishads is presented in such a blissful manner, with all the Divine pastimes of God and His devotees, that listening to the Bhagwat Katha becomes an experience in itself. Not only does it illuminates our intellect with Divine wisdom, it also moves our heart and fills them with the nectar of Divine love. That is why it is said that this Srimad Bhagavatam or Bhagwat Katha has something that even the Vedas do not have.
Parikshit, as the young king, started ruling in a righteous manner. There was justice and peace in his kingdom. One day, when Parikshit was out touring his kingdom, he saw a white cow, and by the side of it was a bull standing on one leg. The cow was shedding tears. They both were engaged in a conversation. The cow was actually the mother earth personified and the bull was dharma. Parikshit heard their discussion. The bull was asking the cow, "Why are you shedding tears? Are you seeing my sufferings and crying ?" The bull was consoling the cow by telling her that happiness and misery are both relative terms in the world. The cow replied, "No, it is not that. There are so many sins being committed on me, the earth, that I am disturbed. People are moving away from the path of Dharma."
Parikshit was deeply touched by the conversation. Meanwhile, a very ugly man came with a staff and started breaking the one remaining leg of the bull. Parikshit was furious and started chasing him. Finally, the ugly man surrendered. The man revealed his identity as Kaliyuga. Parikshit said, "What are you doing in my kingdom? Kaliyuga doesn't have any place in my kingdom." Kaliyuga replied, “By the will of God the ages come and go and even I have to come. You have to give me some place in your kingdom. Parikshit realized that he will have to give him shelter, and so he gave Kaliyuga four places to stay.

Kali Yuga (Devanāgarī: कलियुग [kəli juɡə], lit. "age of [the demon] Kali", or "age of vice") is the last of the four stages the world goes through as part of the cycle of yugas described in the Indian scriptures. The other ages are Satya Yuga, Treta Yuga and Dvapara Yuga. The duration and chronological starting point in human history of Kali Yuga has given rise to different evaluations and interpretations. According to one of them, the Surya Siddhanta, Kali Yuga began at midnight (00:00) on 18 February 3102 BCE in the proleptic Julian calendar, or 23 January 3102 BC in the proleptic Gregorian calendar. This date is also considered by many Hindus to be the day that Krishna left Earth to return to his abode. Most interpreters of Hindu scriptures believe that Earth is currently in Kali Yuga. Many authorities such as Swami Sri Yukteswar, and Paramhansa Yogananda believe that it is now Dvapara Yuga. Many others like Aurbindo Ghosh have stated that Kali Yuga is now over. The Kali Yuga is sometimes thought to last 432,000 years, although other durations have been proposed.

Kālī (Sanskrit: काली, IPA: [kɑːliː]; Bengali: কালী; Punjabi: ਕਾਲੀ; Tamil: காளி; Telugu: కాళికాదేవి; Kannada: ಕಾಳಿ ಮಾತೆ), also known as Kālikā (Sanskrit: कालिका, Bengali: কালিকা), is the Hindu goddess associated with empowerment, shakti. The name Kali comes from kāla, which means black, time, death, lord of death, Shiva. Kali means "the black one". Since Shiva is called Kāla—the eternal time—Kālī, his consort, also means "Time" or "Death" (as in time has come). Hence, Kāli is considered the goddess of time and change. Although sometimes presented as dark and violent, her earliest incarnation as a figure of annihilation still has some influence. Various Shakta Hindu cosmologies, as well as Shākta Tantric beliefs, worship her as the ultimate reality or Brahman. She is also revered as Bhavatārini (literally "redeemer of the universe"). Comparatively recent devotional movements largely conceive Kāli as a benevolent mother goddess.
Kālī is represented as the consort of Lord Shiva, on whose body she is often seen standing. She is associated with many other Hindu goddesses like Durga, Bhadrakali, Sati, Rudrani, Parvati and Chamunda. She is the foremost among the Dasa Mahavidyas, ten fierce Tantric goddesses.

Yuga (Devanāgari: युग) in Hindu philosophy is the name of an 'epoch' or 'era' within a cycle of four ages. These are the Satya Yuga, the Treta Yuga, the Dvapara Yuga, and finally the Kali Yuga. According to Hindu cosmology, life in the universe is created, destroyed once every 4.1 to 8.2 billion years, which is one full day (day and night) for Brahma. The lifetime of a Brahma himself may be 311 trillion and 40 billion years.[1] The cycles are said to repeat like the seasons, waxing and waning within a greater time-cycle of the creation and destruction of the universe. Like Summer, Spring, Winter and Autumn, each yuga involves stages or gradual changes which the earth and the consciousness of mankind goes through as a whole. A complete yuga cycle from a high Golden Age of enlightenment to a Dark Age and back again is said to be caused by the solar system's motion around another star.
Lord Vishnu has many avatars and in each yuga,he has revealed all of them except-the last avatar(tenth)-Kalki.It is said that in the last yuga Lord Vishnu will reveal this avatar too and the Kalki avatar will lead to the end of the world.The main reason is to destroy the wicked,to restart the new creation,and to restore the purity of conduct in people's life. This avatar will be seated in a white horse with a drawn sword blazing like a comet.

In all the Vedic scripture, the position accorded to the Srimad Bhagavatam Mahapuran or the Bhagwat Katha is exceptional. The Vedas are, of course, the highest authority. However, Srimad Bhagavatam Mahapuran is like the essence of the Vedic teachings, written by Ved Vyas himself. Knowledge of Vedas and Upanishads is presented in such a blissful manner, with all the Divine pastimes of God and His devotees, that listening to the Bhagwat Katha becomes an experience in itself. Not only does it illuminates our intellect with Divine wisdom, it also moves our heart and fills them with the nectar of Divine love. That is why it is said that this Srimad Bhagavatam or Bhagwat Katha has something that even the Vedas do not have.
Parikshit, as the young king, started ruling in a righteous manner. There was justice and peace in his kingdom. One day, when Parikshit was out touring his kingdom, he saw a white cow, and by the side of it was a bull standing on one leg. The cow was shedding tears. They both were engaged in a conversation. The cow was actually the mother earth personified and the bull was dharma. Parikshit heard their discussion. The bull was asking the cow, "Why are you shedding tears? Are you seeing my sufferings and crying ?" The bull was consoling the cow by telling her that happiness and misery are both relative terms in the world. The cow replied, "No, it is not that. There are so many sins being committed on me, the earth, that I am disturbed. People are moving away from the path of Dharma."
Parikshit was deeply touched by the conversation. Meanwhile, a very ugly man came with a staff and started breaking the one remaining leg of the bull. Parikshit was furious and started chasing him. Finally, the ugly man surrendered. The man revealed his identity as Kaliyuga. Parikshit said, "What are you doing in my kingdom? Kaliyuga doesn't have any place in my kingdom." Kaliyuga replied, “By the will of God the ages come and go and even I have to come. You have to give me some place in your kingdom. Parikshit realized that he will have to give him shelter, and so he gave Kaliyuga four places to stay.

Everything is pure. There are no diseases, no suffering, no agony or pain. Everybody gets everything they want. The purest yuga of truth. Then truth declines, starts another Yuga, the tretha Yuga. The Tretha Yuga is a little lower than the Sathya Yuga.

Lord Rama ruled the Tretha Yuga. Then came the Dwapara Yuga, Krishna was the incarnation. Then comes the Kali Yuga that is the current Yuga. Kali itself means the age of suffering and pain. During this epoch or Yuga, people will suffer a lot. Diseases, old age, painful death, violence, terrorism and all these belong to the age of Kali. The Kali is ending. The ending of Kali yuga is presided over by Kalki.

Kalki is the avatar of Vishnu, who rides on a white horse and comes to the earth plane and establishes Dharma or righteousness. Although Kalki is a Hindu representation of universal phenomenon that is going to occur, you can see its equivalent in almost all ancient mystical traditions. The bible talks about the white horse, and rider on the white horse in the revelations, this is the last book of the bible.
