Drawing on the hypnotic repetition of minimalism and the organic improvisatory spirit of jazz, the music of Ensemble Ériu weaves a rich acoustic tapestry around Irish traditional melodies. Developed by concertina player Jack Talty and double bassist and flute player Neil O' Loghlen, Ensemble Ériu brings together a chamber ensemble of some of Ireland's most exciting young musicians from a range of performance backgrounds. The result is a unique combination of the fresh and familiar, a soundscape that is creatively progressive yet rooted in tradition.
Following a rousing reception at their debut gig at the Galway Jazz Festival in October 2012, Ensemble Ériu plan to tour Ireland throughout 2014. A debut album, supported by the Arts Council's Deis Recording Award is due for release later this year.

So you guys convinced me and here it is - my entry for the NYX Face Awards 2013.
I really wanted to do something different, something I haven't seen done before on Youtube - so I decided to incorporate a snippet from and old irish story of an Irish King named Bres. I took inspiration from the story of his Mother Eriu, the sovereign goddess of Ireland who is also famed for giving the land a name. Eriu - Eireann (Irish Translation for -) - Ireland
I decided to create a subtle, simple look for this Goddess as to me Eriu symbolises simplicity and beauty. There is also a widened belief that Eriu can be also associated with Sun or Moon hence the inclusion of the star.
Here in Ireland, we have an abundance of beautiful stories of which this is just a snippet - if you would like to see more makeup tutorials inspired by the old irish myths and legends, let me know in the comments below.

Ériu, Banba and Fódla are interpreted as goddesses of sovereignty.

So you guys convinced me and here it is - my entry for the NYX Face Awards 2013.
I really wanted to do something different, something I haven't seen done before on Youtube - so I decided to incorporate a snippet from and old irish story of an Irish King named Bres. I took inspiration from the story of his Mother Eriu, the sovereign goddess of Ireland who is also famed for giving the land a name. Eriu - Eireann (Irish Translation for -) - Ireland
I decided to create a subtle, simple look for this Goddess as to me Eriu symbolises simplicity and beauty. There is also a widened belief that Eriu can be also associated with Sun or Moon hence the inclusion of the star.
Here in Ireland, we have an abundance of beautiful stories of which this is just a snippet - if you would like to see more makeup tutorials inspired by the old irish myths and legends, let me know in the comments below.
