The Ouija board ( /ˈwiːdʒə/ WEE-jə) also known as a spirit board or talking board, is a flat board marked with the letters of the alphabet, the numbers 0-9, the words "yes", "no", "hello" and "goodbye" and various symbols and graphics. It is a registered trademark of Hasbro Inc., which markets and distributes the Ouija Board as part of its line of board games. It uses a planchette (small heart-shaped piece of wood) or movable indicator to indicate the spirit's message by spelling it out on the board during a séance. Participants place their fingers on the planchette and it is moved about the board to spell out words. It has become a trademark that is often used generically to refer to any talking board.
Following its commercial introduction by businessman Elijah Bond on July 1, 1890, the Ouija board was regarded as a harmless parlor game unrelated to the occult until American Spiritualist Pearl Curran popularized its use as a divining tool during World War I.
Mainstream religions and some occultists have associated use of the Ouija board with the threat of demonic possession and some have cautioned their followers not to use Ouija boards.
We call upon the spirit world
To summon up the dead
Candles burn and mystic chants
Are dancing through my head
Questions ask the truth be told
But some of them have lied
About the way they left this world
The others that have died
Ouija
We call upon the dead
Ouija
Now we're in the netherworld
Begin with yes and no
Ask about the afterlife
The time spent down below
How is it you came to us
You float above the floor
Time has come for you to leave
And close this astral door
Ouija
We call upon the dead
Ouija
Why is it you play with this
To quench your morbid thirst
Opening the passage ways
Can only get you cursed
Learn this lesson once my friend
I'm sure your quick to tell
A tale of misplaced souls
And the trip you took to hell
Ouija
We call upon the dead
A natural noise,
Is free in the air.
Trying so hard,
to give the whole block a scare.
And that voice so true in my ear,
I go next door, just to be near to it.
Practice is done,
Go outside for a smoke.
Listen to some more of, Porters jokes.
No more man,
Please turn it down.
If you dont we all might bust a gut.
(yeah yeah)
We just might bust a gut
Words don't quite explain,
EVERYTHING I'M TRYING TO SAY.
I, dont know where to go.
I GUESS ILL JUST ASK THE OUIJA BOARD.
It doesn't know.
Everything to me is a gun!
About to go off,
I feel myself, I'm falling right in!
Guys we'll be alright,
We sit and talk,
For most of the night.
Another cool game, with the strobe light.
And that's not all, there's something i lack,
Dirty little boy is a lumberjack.
(tonight)
Clint's really cool, and,
I don't mean to hurt.
But that really is a star stopping shirt.
Oh no no man,
The lynch mob's attacking, again,
Good thing we have a pyschotic like friend
Oh yeah,
To eat some heads for us.
Words don't quite explain,
EVERYTHING I'M TRYING TO SAY.
I, dont know where to go.
I GUESS ILL JUST ASK THE OUIJA BOARD.
It doesn't know.
Everything to me is a gun!
About to go off,
As I try to hold myself down!
Guys we'll be alright,
You guys are so good,
but you think you suck.
More or less time,
My brothers not a big hessian.
Yeah here comes Dill,
Just pulled up in his bus,
I'm in love with Lisa from Toys, R US.
Lisa's straight edge,
The rest of you aren't.
Offer us a smoke,
But we're to smart, again.
Yeah it sure means a lot,
To have you guys here.
To light up dead smoke,
Your mind will burn as you may learn
Where the answers lie
The question raised, the psyche amazed
Revealed by hand to eye
The deepest well
Erudition at your fingertips
An ancient spell
Catechism
Afterlife eclipse
A silent soliloquy
Why should I always hear lies
Don't ask the age old axiom, if you don't need to know
The price to pay without belief will then possess your
soul
The planchette driven enigma board
That whispers in your hand
Leads you to the one abhorred
The one beyond this land
Hear me all gods of eternity
Surging through your fingertips
The thousand year old lie
Raising veils of clarity, misting in reply
Vexing tease, rectitude
Blinded by one's greed
Gospel word, fallacy
