Wikipedia is meant to be "the free encyclopædia that anyone[citation needed] can edit". We know from research, however, that most people can't edit, and so we, a team from the Wikimedia Foundation and Wikia, are building a visual editor to bridge the gap. This is particularly challenging because MediaWiki's syntax, "wikitext", is a significant superset of HTML, and Wikipedia's content is so complex, using every possible form of it.
In the two years that we have been working on this project, we have encountered some unique challenges posed by creating an editor for wikitext and deploying it to an enormous corpus of existing articles, which have led us to push the limits of Web browsers, JavaScript, parsers and our own creativity.
VisualEditor is now the default way people edit Wikipedia. We have provided a simple way to create and edit articles, from tiny stubs to mature and complex articles, in any of the 300 languages we support, while still allowing experienced editors to use the old wikitext editor if they want to. With an eye to the future, we have also been carefully preparing the way for the later addition of real-time collaborative editing.
One of the key objectives of the VisualEditor project has been to de-couple the Javascript editor from MediaWiki; to do this, we have built a separate parser service to switch between wikitext and HTML. We want VisualEditor to be the best possible FLOSS HTML editor out there -- so great that other Web applications want to use it too. To achieve this, there are extensive possibilities for plugins to edit new forms of content, and how it can integrate with other platforms.
We will talk about and show off the work we've done, the decisions we made, and the issues we worry about. We will ask you what you think, how you might use it, and what more we can do to make VisualEditor the best HTML editor on the Web, whilst making editing Wikipedia -- and all our wikis -- truly open to everyone.

A while ago, somebody asked my if I might do a video talking about Wikipedia - specifically some of the problems plaguing the site beneath the hood. At the time, I didn't know a lot about Wiki bureaucracy, but after watching their processes and keeping track of the Gamergate talk page for a while, I got quite a sense not just for the site's inner machinery, but also for some serious problems they're facing.
The biggest issue they have is that they're staunchly bureaucratic, but they technically don't have any rules when you get right down to it. As a consequence, they tend to enforce things based on flaky, whimsical interpretations backed up by some logic and reasoning with potent spices of personal bias. For the most part the site functions well enough, but certain pages functionally belong to people who are, in essence, emotionally unstable, albeit capable of citing every "rule" the place has. You can watch as rude, frothing jerks get banned from the site only to have to ban immediately lifted by a friend from a higher place. This, along with a number facts, has led to a decline in the number of editors willing to try to work on Wikipedia. It doesn't seem to be killing the site by any means, but it does suggest Wikipedia is vulnerable to passive-aggression and destructive behavior, and you can never tell if a page has been written and maintained by a crazy person or by crazy people.

Risky Missions Of Forward Observer - World Documentary Films HD.
A military artillery observer or spotter is responsible for directing artillery and mortar fire, mostly at opportunity targets[citation needed], and may be a Forward Air Controller (FAC) for close air support and spotter for naval gunfire support. Also known as "Forward Observer", "Fire Support Specialist", or "Fister". Most commonly observers accompany a tank or infantry manouvre unit. More recently a mission controller for an Army Unmanned Air System (UAS) may also act as an artillery observer[citation needed] and some armies use special artillery patrols behind the enemy's forward elements.

More recently a mission controller for an Army Unmanned Air System (UAS) may also act as an artillery observer[citation needed] and some armies use special artillery patrols behind the enemy's forward elements.

The Grizzly Bear Documentary - Grizzly fighting wolves - Der Grizzlybär
The grizzly bear (Ursus arctos ssp.) is any North American subspecies of brown bear, including the mainland grizzly (Ursus arctos horribilis), Kodiak bear (U. a. middendorffi), peninsular grizzly (U. a. gyas), and the recently extinct California grizzly (U. a. californicus†)[1][2] and Mexican grizzly bear (U. a. nelsoni†). Scientists do not use the name grizzly bear but call it the North American brown bear. (See brown bear for a discussion of brown bears outside of North America). It should not be confused with the black grizzly or Ussuri brown bear (U. a. lasiotus) which is another giant brown bear subspecies inhabiting Russia, Northern China, and Korea.[3][4][5]
Since the mainland grizzly is so widespread, it is representative and archetypal for the whole subspecific group.[citation needed] Classification has been revised along genetic lines.[1]

The Overseas Highway is a 127.5-mile (205.2 km)[citation needed] highway carrying U.S. Route 1 (US 1) through the Florida Keys. Large parts of it were built on the former right-of-way of the Overseas Railroad, the Key West Extension of the Florida East Coast Railway. Completed in 1912, the Overseas Railroad was heavily damaged and partially destroyed in the Labor Day Hurricane of 1935. The Florida East Coast Railway was financially unable to rebuild the destroyed sections, so the roadbed and remaining bridges were sold to the state of Florida for $640,000.

Holotropic Breathwork is a practice that uses breathing and other elements to allow access to non-ordinary states for the purpose of self-exploration. It was developed by Stanislav Grof, M.D., Ph.D. and Christina Grof, Ph.D. Holotropic breathing has some similarities to rebirthing-breathwork, but was developed independently.[citation needed] Holotropic Breathwork is intended as an approach to self-exploration and healing that integrates insights from modern consciousness research, anthropology, various depth psychologies, transpersonal psychology, Eastern spiritual practices, and mystical traditions of the world.[citation needed] The term holotropic means "moving toward wholeness" (from the Greek ὅλος holos "whole" and τρέπειν trepein "to turn or direct towards a thing").

Luxury yacht (also superyacht, large yacht and mega yacht) is a very expensive, privately owned, professionally crewed sailing or motor yacht.
A luxury yacht over 24 metres (79 ft) is considered as a "superyacht".[citation needed]
Christina O of Aristotle Onassis
This term began to appear at the beginning of the 20th century, when wealthy individuals constructed large private yachts for personal pleasure, such as Charles Henry Fletcher's Jemima F. III, at 111 feet, the largest motor- powered yacht in the world in 1908.[1] More examples of early luxury motor yachts include the Cox & King yachts, Charles L. Seabury and Company's yachts, M/Y (motor yacht) Christina O, and M/Y Savarona. Early luxury sailing yachts include America's Cup classic J class racers such as Endeavour and Sir Thomas Lipton's Shamrock.[citation needed].
A yacht /ˈjɒt/ is a recreational boat or ship. The term originates from the Dutch word jacht "hunt". It was originally defined as a light fast sailing vessel used by the Dutch navy to pursue pirates and other transgressors around and into the shallow waters of the Low Countries. After its selection by Charles II of England as the vessel to carry him to England from the Netherlands for his restoration in 1660, it came to be used to mean a vessel used to convey important persons.
Modern use of the term designates two different classes of watercraft, sailing and power boats. Yachts differ from working ships mainly by their leisure purpose, and it was not until the rise of the steamboat and other types of powerboat that sailing vessels in general came to be perceived as luxury, or recreational vessels. Later the term came to encompass motor boats for primarily private pleasure purposes as well.[citation needed]
Yacht lengths generally range from 10 metres (33 ft) up to dozens of meters (hundreds of feet). A luxury craft smaller than 12 metres (39 ft) is more commonly called a cabin cruiser or simply a cruiser. A super yacht generally refers to any yacht (sail or power) above 24 m (79 ft) and a mega yacht generally refers to any yacht over 50 metres (164 ft). This size is small in relation to typical cruise liners and oil tankers.
Between 1997 and 2008 there was a massive growth in the number, size, and popularity of large private or super luxury yachts in the 24-to-70-metre (79 to 230 ft) size range. Luxury yachts, megayachts, or superyachts typically have no real home port as such, although a yacht must be registered in a port of the country where its flag state is registered. Popular flag state registrars for large yachts are Cayman Islands, Marshall Islands, Isle of Man, and the British Virgin Islands, among others. (Many times the yacht will have never been to these ports.) They are particularly bountiful in the Mediterranean Sea in summer and the Caribbean Sea in winter. Many can be chartered (rented) for sums of up to 1 million Euro for a week. Up to 1,500 large yachts may be available to charter in a season in the Mediterranean.[citation needed] The arrival of large commercial ships specially outfitted to take multiple large yachts across the Atlantic ocean has created a much larger charter market in the Caribbean than ever before.[citation needed] Yachts will dock in a port of choosing while the crew does maintenance work and waits for owners or guests to arrive. The vessels then will do short cruises with the owners and/or guests aboard. Typical destinations in Spain and the French and Italian Rivieras include Cannes, Antibes, St. Tropez, Monte Carlo, Portofino, Porto Cervo, Puerto Banús, Puerto Portals, and Palma, Majorca, although increasingly luxury yachts are cruising in more remote areas of the world. Antigua is one of the main ports in the Windward Islands of the Caribbean and hosts a Charter Show at the beginning of the winter season.
While the demand for new luxury yachts has slowed somewhat since 2009, 2011 has seen a small rebound with launches from many of the top yards. The 163.5 metres (536 ft) M/Y Eclipse, was built by Blohm + Voss for Russian businessman Roman Abramovich[2] and the 180 metres (590 ft) Azzam launched in 2013 are the largest private yachts in the world. Luxury boatbuilding and yacht charter companies are predominantly based in Western Europe and the United States but are also increasingly found in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Eastern Europe.

"A nuclear weapon is an explosive device that derives its destructive force from nuclear reactions, either fission (fission bomb) or a combination of fission and fusion (thermonuclear weapon). Both reactions release vast quantities of energy from relatively small amounts of matter.[citation needed] The first fission ("atomic") bomb test released the same amount of energy as approximately 20,000 tons of TNT (see Trinity (nuclear test)). Nat Geo Megafactories | Guinness Beer | Documentary National Geographic
St. James's Gate Brewery (Irish: Grúdlann Gheata Naomh Séamuis) is a brewery founded in 1759 in Dublin, Ireland, by Arthur Guinness. The company is now a part of Diageo, a company formed from the merger of Guinness and Grand Metropolitan in 1997. The main product of the brewery is Guinness Draught.
Originally leased in 1759 to Arthur Guinness at £45 per year for 9,000 years, St. James's Gate has been the home of Guinness ever since. It became the largest brewery in Ireland in 1838, and the largest in the world by 1886, with an annual output of 1.2 million barrels.[1] Although no longer the largest brewery in the world, it is still the largest brewer of stout in the world. The company has since bought out the originally leased property,[2] and during the 19th and early 20th centuries the brewery owned most of the buildings in the surrounding area, including many streets of housing for brewery employees, and offices associated with the brewery. The brewery also made all of its own power using its own power plant.[citation needed]
There is an attached exhibition on the 250-year-old history of Guinness, called the Guinness Storehouse.
