The Lake Chapala & Ajijic Mexico area is a beautiful and magical place that thousands of people from all over the world call their home. Our goal with the following video is to show you it's beauty, but through a different perspective, from above. When we started filming it, we did not know it would turn out as well as it did. See for yourself and understand why the team at Access Lake Chapala invested so much effort and time into this video.
See detailed information on this video and why we filmed it on our webpage: http://www.accesslakechapala.com/video/aerial-video-ajijic-lake-chapala/
Although online you will find a few aerial clips of Ajijic that have been taken during the year 2014, we have been working on this video for almost 1 year, gathering all the shots we need to make it just right. We were rushing to release it sooner, however a video such as this takes allot of time, effort and team work to make sure you get each clip that shows the beauty and tranquility of Lake Chapala.
From the Jacaranda trees blooming in April to the Regatta de Globos (Hot Air Balloons) event in September, we have been patiently compiling clips and taking new shots since January of 2014 and finally released in November of 2014. The result of this video is proof of our dedication, love and respect for the town that we call home.
Access Lake Chapala has invested allot of time, effort, money and work into this video, in which we hope you will appreciate the beauty of the area and lakeside community.
However not all is good news, during shooting this video our drone fell into the Lake due to a low percentage of battery life. We attempted to find and rescue, but failed. We were heartbroken but picked up the pieces and are currently working on getting a new one.
If you enjoyed this video, we welcome any donations towrds getting a new drone, every little bit helps. We are happy to shoot a project you have in mind (home, business etc) in exchange for donations that help us reach our goal of obtaining our new drone. Our office is located on Morelos street 13-A downtown Ajijic, we would love to hear from you.

I am very passionate about language study travel, and I love to improve my Spanish while being immersed locally in a Spanish-speaking country. So in February of 2010 I spent 13 days in Mexico, with a home base in Guadalajara, Mexicos second largest city. I studied Spanish at the Guadalajara Language Centre and stayed with a local family in Tlaquepaque, a picturesque neighbourhood in the southern part of Guadalajara.
In addition to my 2 hours of language studies every day at the Guadalajara Language Centre, I did a number of excursions: I went to downtown Guadalajara and visited the impressive baroque church and the historic core of the city. My excursions in Tlaquepaque included a guided visit with a tourist policeman who took me up onto the bell tower of one of Tlaquepaques churches. I also got to see some samples of the artwork and handicrafts that are produced in Tlaquepaque, which is renowned for its galleries and arts stores. I visited the neighbouring arts & crafts market of Tonala, a huge outdoor market with hundreds of interesting vendors.
Longer excursions took me to Lake Chapala, a popular retirement destinations for Americans and Canadians trying to escape our cold winters. My local guide Jose Orozco took me to Mexcala Island, a prison island with buildings from the early 1800s, the pretty town of Chapala and the popular retirement town of Ajijic where so many gringos have settled down permanently. We also went on a tour to the magic village of Tequila which is host to numerous distilleries that make this Mexican national drink from the heart of the agave plant. I also went on a second tour to Lake Chapala to meet Greg Clarke, a Canadian retiree who told me about his cherished new lifestyle in Mexico.
In addition to Guadalajara I also went on two wonderful weekend excursions to two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: to the historic silver mining town of Guanajuato, and the beautiful city of Morelia and nearby Lake Patzcuaro.

Today, those same families have access to treatment because of Seguro Popular. It has gradually expanded to cover a range of catastrophic illnesses. Breast cancer, with its fast-rising rates and ever-younger victims, was added in 2007.

Mexico, land of the Maya and Aztec, temples and beaches and with a population of twenty-six million the bubbling metropolis of Mexico City is a maze of streets, flat roofs, skyscrapers and parks. Earthquakes, floods and civil wars created this ‘City Of The Aztecs’. Templo Mayor, the main temple of the Aztecs, lies in the centre of the city, in the large main square, Zocalo. The magnificent Catedral Metropolitana with its massive dimensions and fine stone masonry dominates the square, with equal prominence being given to the Palacinio Nacional, governmental seat of the Mexican President. In 1519, when the Spanish conquerors reached Tenochtitlan, capital of the Aztec kingdom, they discovered a lagoon paradise with floating gardens, Xochimilco, a labyrinth of lakes and canals, which today can be explored by boat. Known as the Pearl Of The Pacific, Acapulco is a world famous holiday resort of the rich and famous where luxury liners dock each day and endless golden sands beckon a swim under the Caribbean sun. Each evening, the famous cliff jumpers of Acapulco congregate when, from a height of 42 metres, they jump fearlessly from the top of the La Quebrada Cliff into the narrow bay below. In the legendary ruins of Palenque, numerous monuments of the Maya culture can be found such as a palace, and several pyramids and temples. From the air, there is a unique view of the lush growth of the impenetrable forests around Palenque, and of Mexico’s most beautiful waterfalls of Agua Azul. Chichen Itza is thought to have been built by the Mayas around 450 AD and over 500 years later the fighting TOLTEKEN took over the deserted city, which led to two hundred years of prosperity. Located in the north, Tequila is situated at the foot of the likewise named volcano and is world famous because it is here that the Mexican national drink is produced. But Mexico is much more than a drink…it is a feast for all the senses!

Surrounded by the warm waters of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun is famed for its sunshine, history, and wild nightlife. Come to this former Mexican fishing village turned resort town to join legions of fellow sun worshippers – just don’t forget to pack sunscreen.
Your Cancun tour should stop at the Acuario Interactivo, where you can meet mariachi-singing dolphins and other friendly sealife. Explore the vast historical offerings of Cancun by heading to the Yucatan interior, where you’ll find ancient Mayan cities available to tour. A day trip to Chichen Itza, one of the world’s Seven Modern Wonders, is another must. Wander through its ancient streets and take in the temples, an observatory, and even a sporting arena.
At sunset, your Cancun sightseeing will come to a dazzling conclusion amid the wild nightlife. Watch shows, go dancing, attend parties, and make sure you’ve got your camera out. It all begins anew the next day; morning in Cancun means more time to make sun-drenched memories that will last a lifetime.

Travel video about destination Mexico City in Mexico.
Mexico City is a vivid metropolis and cosmopolitan city situated on a plateau in the central highlands at an altitude of 2, 286 metres, where the food is spicy and the Tequila flows freely! The city's fascinating history is reflected in both its art and architecture with age old charm, Indian roots and elegant buildings.
Until the Spanish conquest, the Templo Mayor was the setting of coronations and human sacrifice. The remains of the walls within which thousands of priests once lived are only a few steps from the buildings of the country's former Spanish conquerors.
Construction of the country's largest cathedral, the Catedral Metropolitana, took 250 years. The lower section is quite plain but the upper section is of Baroque and Neo-Classical design. Spanish administrative buildings and private houses in the heart of the city have replaced the temples of ancient Mexico and has resulted in a synthesis of both old and new architectural styles.
An elevator ascends the Torre Latino America, an earthquake-proof tower that was built in 1958. A viewing platform provides a wonderful panoramic view that includes the Palacio de Bellas Artes and the Juárez Monument.
Located 50 kilometres from Mexico City are the ancient remains of Teotihuacan that was once a centre of trade, art and ritual ceremonies. At its zenith in 500 A.D., it was as large as Rome and its Sun Pyramid is one of the greatest building achievements of ancient times. In 1988 ,Unesco attributed this complex as being 'one of the most important cultural centres of mankind'.
The author Pablo Neruda once said: 'No other land on Earth possesses such remarkable human profoundness than Mexico and its inhabitants'. For surprises, sights and history galore, Mexico has to be at the top of the list!

It’s here that a meteor 10 kilometres across impacted with the earth 65 million years ago; The meteor hit in a shallow ocean bringing about a change in climate that caused the extinction of two thirds of the Earths species including all the Dinosaurs.

Riviera Maya , also known as the Mayan Riviera, is a tourism district following the coastal Highway 307 which parallels the Caribbean coastline of the Mexican state of Quintana Roo, located on the eastern portion of the Yucatán Peninsula. This district historically started at the city of Playa del Carmen and ended at the village of Tulum, although the towns of Puerto Morelos situated to the north and between Playa del Carmen and Cancun as well as the town of Felipe Carrillo Puerto situated 40 kilometres (25 mi) to the south of Tulum are both currently being promoted as part of the Riviera Maya tourist corridor.
The most important places to visit in Riviera Maya are: Chichen Itza (the world famous Mayan ruins with thousands of years of history are one of the most visited sites in the world), Playa del Carmen, Tulum (outside of Cancun, a unique site. You can go for a swim in turquoise waters and visit the famous ruins of Mayan civilization), Xcaret, Xplor and many more.
This video offers a lot of tips to help you plan the perfect vacation. If you want to save time and money, the most important Riviera Maya travel tip is to compare prices before booking a hotel room or a flight. You can do this for free on http://bookinghunter.com, a site that searches through hundreds of other travel websites in real time for the best travel deals available.
