It's not perfect but it's accessible enough for consumers to do some creative things. But the software needs some work. The desktop version is running in Adobe Air and very inefficient. Ricoh didn't even take the time to register with Apple's developer program so it won't even be installable on recent OS X versions without a manual override. The mobile app doesn't do much better, it won't allow sharing of video content and file transfers are incredibly slow and will stop if the phone goes to sleep. But I am impressed with the results nonetheless. Despite using two different lenses and sensors the images are seamless and see almost the entire 360 field of view. It's really a compelling new way to look at content. In some ways I liken this to the Flip camera. It's the start of something as opposed to the flagship product in the space. It's very accessible to consumers both in ease of use and price and definitely something worth trying out if you're looking to do something creative in the 360 space.
