Cyworld (Hangul: 싸이월드) is a South Korean social network service operated by SK Communications (Hangul: SK커뮤니케이션즈), a subsidiary of SK Telecom (Hangul: SK텔레콤).
Members cultivate relationships by forming Ilchon (Hangul: 일촌, Hanja: 一寸) or "friendships" with each other through their minihompy.
Avatars and "mini-rooms", small, decorate-able, apartment-like spaces in an isometric projection, also feature. All of this can make for a Sims-like experience.
The "Cy" in Cyworld could mean "cyber" but is also a pun on the Korean word for relationship (Hangul: 사이 'between').
Revenue is generated through the sale of dotori (Hangul: 도토리), or "acorns", which can then be used to purchase virtual goods, such as background music, pixelated furniture and virtual appliances.
Cyworld also has operations in China and Vietnam.
Launched in 1999, Cyworld was purchased by SK Communications in 2003 and became one of the first companies to profit from the sale of virtual goods.
Cyworld soon became wildly popular in its home market with 2005 claims that practically every South Korean in their 20s and 25 percent of the total population of South Korea were users. By 2006 its domestic user-base numbered 19 million, but this had dropped to 18 million by 2008.
Bobby Kim (Kim Do Kyun) was born on January 12, 1973 in Seoul, Korea. His family moved to North America when he was 2 years old. He is a well established hip-hop and R&B artist in Korea.
His father, a trumpet player, influenced and exposed him to music. At an early age, he worked as a rapper at night clubs. Since high school, he performed in clubs in the San Francisco underground. That time, he got attracted by hip hop when America was in a golden age of hip hop, but he learned many genres of music as well. Later in 1992, he went to Korea to start his music career. In 1994, He debuted as a member of a group called ‘Dr. Reggae.” However, the group could not achieve much success. Thus, he started doing features as a background rapper, appearing on numerous singles. Also, he worked as a producer, creating singles for artists in Korea.
After he finished high school, he made a group called Dr. Reggae and introduced Reggae music to Korea for the first time. That time, only 2 members were active, so it was known as a duet. However, it was actually 7 members at first. Bobby Kim was not as successful when he was a part of Dr.Reggae. After Dr.Reggae stopped their music, he became a vocal trainer for hip hop singers and taught singing and rapping techniques. He was nicknamed ‘Reggae hip hop’s godfather.’ He also gave written songs to singers such as Drunken Tiger, Lee Sang, and Dynamic Duo.
Paso horas planeando
Como pretenderte
Paso el tiempo dibujando
Tu nombre mi amor
Y si pudiera expresar
Lo que siento por ti
El besar tus labios yo
Yo le pido a dios
Paso los dias sonando
Con volver a verte
Paso imaginando historias
Con nuestro encuentro amor
Y si pudiera expresar
Lo que siento por ti
El besar tus labios yo
Yo le pido a dios
Eres mi luz de la manana
El cielo que nunca se acaba
Cada vez que yo te veo
Mi corazon suspira
Y no puedo controlar
Ni mi respiracion
Y si pudiera expresar
Lo que siento por ti
El besar tus labios yo
Yo le pido a dios
Eres mi luz de la manana
El cielo que nunca se acaba
Y tomarte de la mano
Tu pelo acariciar
Y decirte que te amo yo
El besar tus labios Yo
