Biography of Mohammed Daud Daud H.E Mohammad Daud also known as General Daud Daud was born on January, 02 1969. Died in terrorist attack on May 28 in historical Afghan city of Taligan. Mohammad Daud was born to a poor farmer Daud Haidar Eshaqzai who was killed by Soviet Air bomb of 1987. After Russians killed his young brother and Daud at their small farm, Daud at age of 18 promised for jehad, joined forces of Shura-e-Nasar, and left his 2 sisters, brother and mother to his old uncle's house who moved in the city of Kondoz. From 1987 to 1990 a young and energetics was quietly recognized by fascinating leader Ahmad Shah Massoud. After the collapse of the Communist regime in 1992, slowly some people gave up arms and Shura-e-Nazar also started to split-up. Since majority of Shura-e-Nazar's party was dominated by native Pashtuns of the Northern Afghanistan the split of Pashtun clans and joining other Pashtun dominated parties. Few Pashtun were left in the northern Shura-e-Nazar and Mohammad Daud was one of the few minorities of Pashtun background although he spoke Dari as his native tongue. In 1996 at the rise of Pashtun dominated Taliban rule Mohammad Daud despite with few hundreds of fighters alone fought Taliban and handled Taliban for 3 months to conquer Kondoz. After his loss of Kondoz, surprised many since few men of his were killed compare to thousands of Taliban, had to flee to Mazar-e-Sharif and he was now amongst high ranged anti-Taliban forces and settled to be general in charge of 2000 men. After 9/11 Mohammad Daud once again was put in change of Kundoz a Pashtun dominated Province was home of some 30,000 Taliban soldiers, unlike other war lords Mohmmad Daud's personal background came in use. 30,000 strong Taliban promised to fight until death if forced to and will not give up, however Mohammad Daud's came as peace broker, his tribal linage to the Pashtuns of Taliban won him surrounding of Pashtun dominated Kondoz without any major conflicts. Mohammad Daud in exchanged promised every Taliban of Kondoz can walk free. Mohammad Daud's contribution to fall of Soviets as well as fall of Taliban is now part of Afghanistan's history. According to Minister Bismullah Khan Mohammadi most of the Pashtuns are soldiers and policemen are from northern Afghanistan and only 10% of their total soldiers are from South and Eastern country which covers 40% of the total Population and 90% Pashtun dominated population.
