Islamic women traditionally have more conservative dressing standards than Europeans, North Americans, etc. If you plan on travelling through these conservative countries it is recommended that you appeal to their standards. (Especially in Morocco - if you want to avoid harrassment.)
If you want to be feel respected, it is recommended that you wear loose fitting clothing, cover your arms, hair, chest and legs down to the ankles.

Russian/Nat
Russian Muslims gathered at Moscow's central mosque on Thursday morning for the Islamic holiday of Kurban-Bairam.
This is a feast celebrated over four days throughout the Muslim world when meat is sacrificed and divided amongst the community.
Speaking to reporters after part of the ceremony, Ravil Gainutdin, a religious leader, expressed his concern for Muslims in Chechnya.
Russia has a large number of Muslims within its borders and they represent a significant group.
Around a thousand gathered outside the central mosque in Moscow on Thursday to celebrate the Islamic holiday of Kurban-Bairam.
Concern for the suffering taking place in Chechnya was evident.
The head of the committee of Muftis in Russia, Ravil Gainutdin, was amongst the crowd in Moscow.
He expressed his desire for peace.
SOUNDBITE: (Russian)
"We asked (Putin) for a quick resolution of the military action in Chechnya. Muslim spiritual leaders will do all they can to facilitate a peace process and the return of peace and calm to the hearts of every Muslim in Chechnya."
SUPER CAPTION: Ravil Gainutdin, head of Russian committee of Muftis
Muslim leaders have been careful not to condemn Russia's actions in Chechnya.
On Wednesday Russia's Muslim leaders met the acting Russian president Vladimir Putin.
They discussed Chechnya but showed support for Putin who is almost certain to be the next president.
The religious leaders told reporters that the war in Chechnya was not a fight against Islam but the re-establishment of law and order in the region.
But not all Muslims in Russia necessarily agree with this diplomatic line.
SOUNDBITE: (Russian)
"We understand that there are bandits who must be liquidated, but to liquidate so indiscriminately - everyone in Chechnya is suffering. Our spiritual brothers are suffering and it makes the heart sick, we are with them in spirit and we trust in Allah and hope that the good people of Chechnya and around the world will celebrate as Mohammed wanted."
SUPER CAPTION: Vox Pop
Refugees from Chechnya in Ingushetia were also celebrating the holiday - as best they could.

NEW YORK (PIX11) -- New York City is adding two Muslim holidays to the official school calendar, becoming the largest school district in the country to do so, the mayor announced Wednesday.
Starting in the 2015-2016 school year, New York City public schools will close to recognize Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, holidays celebrated worldwide by Muslims, of which some 1 million live in the five boroughs.
Mayor Bill de Blasio called the calendar change one “that respects the diversity of our city” and that will let hundreds of thousands of Muslim families observe two of their faith’s most important holidays.
Also called the Feast of the Sacrifice, Eid al-Adha celebrates the willingness of Ibrahim (or Abraham) to sacrifice his son when God asked him to -- a story also found in the Jewish Torah and the Christian Old Testament. It begins in the evening on Sept. 23 this year and ends in the evening the following day. Schools in the city will be closed Sept. 24 in observation, the mayor’s office said.
Eid al-Fitr marks the end of Ramadam, a month of fasting that marks the time in which the Quran was revealed. In 2016, it will fall during the summer and will be a designated holiday for those students and teachers attending summer school, the mayor’s office said.
Egyptian Muslims families buy goods as they commemorate the first day of Eid al-Adha, or the Festival of Sacrifice, which marks the end of the Hajj pilgrimage to Mecca and commemorates Prophet Abraham's readiness to sacrifice his son to show obedience to God. Starting this year, the holiday will be added to the New York City school district's official calendar, giving students and teachers the day off. (Photo: MOHAMED EL-SHAHED/AFP/Getty Images)

Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina said the holidays were added so students would not have to choose between going to class and their religious obligations. The last time Eid al-Adha fell on an instructional day, 36 percent of students were absent at PS/IS 30 in Brooklyn, where city officials announced the change, the mayor’s office said.
“This new addition will also enable a teachable moment in the classroom for our students to learn about religious tolerance and the societal contributions of various cultures,” Farina said.

STORYLINE:
Shopping centres, street markets and high-end stores in Pakistan have been bustling with clients for the past few days in preparation for the Eid festival, a holiday that marks the end of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan.
This year, Eid will fall either on Thursday or Friday depending on the sighting of the moon.
In Karachi, Pakistan's largest city, bazaars and stores remain open until late at night to allow clients to do last minute shopping and prepare for the festivities.
Women of all ages packed jewellery stores and also beauty parlours where they spent hours getting their hair done and their henna tattoos on their hands and feet.
"I got my eyebrows done, a facial and a hair cut and I also decorated my hands with henna. I love decorating my hands with henna", said Farah Naz.
Henna artist Quratul Ain has been extremely busy with her clients for almost a week.
The establishment where she works designing intricate patters with henna is a favourite for Karachi's young women.
After the month of Ramadan where fasting and praying is the norm, the Eid celebrations bring Muslims of all social and economic classes to the shops.
During the past years Pakistan's economy has suffered as much as the rest of the world with higher prices and lower wages and many locals have complained that prices were even higher during this time of the year.
"These days regardless of how much you earn, you run out of money due to the high prices of almost every item. Products are so expensive that they are out of our purchasing power," said Mohammed Shiraz after perusing the stalls of the market with his wife.
Security is another big concern in Pakistan and authorities have stepped up security across the city's key commercial areas.

Bosnian Muslims celebrated Eid al-Fitr, the festival to mark the end of Ramadan, in Sarajevo on Friday.
Worshippers arrived at the mosque at dawn for prayers.
"This is the biggest holiday for us, we use this opportunity to gather with our families and spend at least one day all together," said Mustafa Pjanic, citizen of Sarajevo.
Eid al Fitr marks the end of Ramadan and is a time when Muslims across the world rejoice after going through fasting, prayers and other sacrifices for 30 days.
The celebration comes amid difficult negotiations between Bosnian Serbs and Muslims on adopting new law forming a joint police force.
Since the end of the Bosnian war in 1995, Serbs and Muslims have had their own, separate, police force.
The European Union is encouraging officials to enact the law, as a precondition for simpler economic and political ties with the European Union and the international community.

Mount Kemukus in Indonesia attracts thousands of Muslim pilgrims each year. They believe having sex with strangers at this holy site will bring them wealth and good fortune.
Legend tells of a Muslim prince who eloped with his step mother to a remote mountain island in Java. Whilst mid-coitus on the mountain, the couple were murdered by the kings soldiers. Centuries later, the devoted and the promiscuous meet in the belief that good fortune comes to those that complete the doomed lovers tryst. Many pilgrims to the mountain are married, and willing to pay for sex. As one prostitute says: "I need money and they need me." But with sexually transmitted diseases on the rise, can the pilgrims be sure they are leaving with only a shot at good fortune?

Muslim holidays are often the first way people of different faiths come to know and like people of other faiths. Muslims have holidays, but we aren’t always good in explaining them in appealing ways. Eid El-Adha is about the story of Abraham, with which Christians and
Jews are familiar. Ramadan is another holiday that has many dimensions that are appealing. This panel will help participants to tell the story of Eid and Ramadan, and it will show brief clips from a new PBS film on Ramadan entitled “Nadia’s Ramadan”. Finally, panelists will share best practices from New York’s successful campaign to get the Eid holidays recognized.

NYC students will now get day off for Islamic holidays.
New York City is adding two Muslim holidays to the official school calendar, becoming the largest school district in the country to do so, the mayor announced Wednesday.
New York will become the nation’s first major metropolis to close its public schools in observance of the two most sacred Muslim holy days, Mayor Bill de Blasio said on Wednesday, a watershed moment for a group that has endured suspicion and hostility since the Sept. 11 attacks.
Several municipalities across the country — including in Massachusetts, Michigan and New Jersey — have moved in recent years to include the holy days, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, in their school calendars. But New York City, with its 1.1 million schoolchildren, dwarfs the others in its size and symbolism.
Mr. de Blasio, a Democrat who has pledged a more tolerant and inclusive city, described the policy that begins in the coming school year as a simple “matter of fairness.” But the announcement was all the more striking for its timing, as Muslim-Americans face fresh scrutiny in the wake of terrorist attacks in Europe and new violence in the Middle East.

Mr. de Blasio, a Democrat who has pledged a more tolerant and inclusive city, described the policy that begins in the coming school year as a simple “matter of fairness.” But the announcement was all the more striking for its timing, as Muslim-Americans face fresh scrutiny in the wake of terrorist attacks in Europe and new violence in the Middle East.

A national campaign against narcotic drugs has been launched in Indonesia - to mark the start of the Islamic New Year.
Thousands of Muslims have been welcoming in the year 1436 at a special ceremony.
Schoolboys queue to attend New Year celebrations at Jakarta's Gelora Bung Karno Stadium.
Indonesia has the highest population of Muslims in the world, more than 80 percent of the 240 million population are followers of Islam.
Across the country people have been taking part in parades, festivals and prayers to mark the arrival of the year 1436.
The celebrations at the stadium started with the arrival of 30 elite parachutists from the Indonesian Air Force's Special Forces.
The stadium event has been organised by the Indonesia Ulema Council, a Muslim clerical body, and a number of other Islamic organisations.
The Ulema Council is launching a national campaign against narcotic drugs at the ceremony - pledging to help the government in its effort to eradicate the distribution of illegal drugs in the country.
Indonesia's Vice President Jusuf Kalla was among the senior politicians who is speaking in support of the campaign.
"We have to mark the first of Muharram as a beginning of a change towards a better future for the people of Indonesia," he says.
Agus Hussein, who works at a printing factory, is among the thousands of people attending the celebrations.
"My biggest hope as Muslims in Indonesia," he says, "is that this nation would prefer to live a more religious way because there is no one solution that can save this nation, but for us to draw closer to God."
Although the new Hijra year is a national holiday in Indonesia, the celebrations are more low key, compared to other Muslim holiday celebrations like Eid al-Fitr or Eid al-Adha.

Moroccans celebrated the Islamic festival of Eid al-Adha on Wednesday, a day later than much of the Islamic world.
Traditionally, Muslims sacrifice an animal at Eid and share the meat with their families, neighbours and people less fortunate than themselves.
The holiday marks what Muslims believe is the Old Testament prophet Ibrahim's willingness to sacrifice his own son as an act of obedience to God.
At the last minute, God intervened, and gave Ibrahim a ram to sacrifice instead.
Eid al-Adha holiday translates as the Festival of the Sacrifice. In Morocco it is popularly known as 'fete du mouton' or 'sheep festival'.
Prices were high last year after a season of drought, and haven't dropped this year either.
Most shoppers seemed to expect to pay as much as two thousand dirhams (240 dollars) for a good-sized animal.
Even so traders complained that they were struggling to get a fair price for their livestock, squeezed between high feed prices, government levies and consumer expectations.
Grills were lit in the streets of the capital Rabat on and for a modest amount of money, youths grilled sheep heads and feet.
"We take the heads and feet, for money, for money, 25 dirhams (three US dollars) and then we scorch them on the fire," said Rabat resident Ayub Kissa.
Many schools and businesses are closed until the end of the week for the holiday.

Waiving the tolls on bridges and highways during Islamic holidays should be extended to other religious holidays, as Turkey doesn’t only have Muslim citizens, but also citizens of many other faith groups whose holidays should be likewise celebrated, a member of parliament has said an filed a motion.
Each year, during the Muslim holidays of Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, citizens use bridges and highways free of charge as “a holiday gesture,” Garo Paylan of the Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) recalled on July 15, while also underlining he favors the practice because he believes the use of public goods and infrastructure should be free for citizens.
“However, this practice should not make us forget the reality that there are Christian, Jewish and Yazidi citizens and citizens from other religions in Turkey. These ancient peoples living in these territories are not solely celebrating Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha, but are also celebrating religious holidays like Christmas, Easter, Rosh Hashanah and Çarşemba Sor. However, these ancient holidays being celebrated in Anatolia for thousands of years are today ignored by the state,” Paylan said in a written statement.
“According to the constitution and universal democratic norms, the state should approach every religion and each of its citizens equally,” Paylan said, adding the practice concerning the free use of bridges and highways should be extended to citizens from other religions too.
The HDP Istanbul deputy filed a related motion to parliament, noting that he would shortly introduce a bill too.

New York public schools will add two Muslim holidays to their vacation calendars; a policy change that was hailed by Islamic leaders in New York City.
Under the new policy, the city's 1.1 million-pupil public school system will close on Sept. 24 for Eid al-Adha, which is also known as the Festival of Sacrifice.
The holiday of Eid al-Fitr, marking the end of Ramadan, will be observed during summer school in 2016.
Estimates of the number of Muslims living in New York City vary from 600,000 to 1 million.
Community leaders have long urged adding the two Muslim holidays to the school calendar, and the City Council passed a resolution supporting the change in 2009.

The Movie Story Deals with Jagadish, a captain in the Indian Army, returns to Mumbai from Kashmir. On his arrival, his parents and younger sisters force him to see Nisha, who they choose for him to be married to. At the bride-viewing ceremony, Jagadish makes up excuses to avoid marrying her, which includes commenting about her being old-fashioned. On the contrary, Nisha is a college-level boxer, who is completely modern in her outlook. Jagadish realises this and proposes to her, which she reciprocates. One day, while travelling around the city with his police officer-friend Balaji, Jagadish witnesses the explosion of a bus in which they had travelled. He manages to capture the man who laid the bomb, but he escapes from the hospital where he was kept under custody. Jagadish kidnaps the bomber again, and also forces the police officer who helped the bomber's escape, to commit suicide. Jagadish soon learns that the bomber is a mere executor, a sleeper cell, whose only role was to plant the bomb. He also discovers that the Islamic terrorist group Harkat-ul-Jihad al-Islami, which the bomber belongs to, has planned various such attacks in the city in a couple of days. Enlisting the help of his fellow Army men and Balaji, Jagadish manages to thwart these attacks and kill the sleeper cell leader's brother and eleven other terrorists, including the first sleeper cell. When the leader of the terrorist group learns about the role of Jagdish in the failure of the terrorist attack, he begins to target the families of the army men, except Jagadish, by kidnapping someone close to them. When Jagadish realises the plan, he substitutes one of the people to be kidnapped, with his younger sister Sanjana. Using his pet dog and his sister's dupatta, he manages to reach the terrorists' hideout, rescuing his sister, who was about to be killed after Jagadish's bluff was exposed, and the other victims and eliminating the terrorists assembled there. Asif Ali, the second-in-command of the sleeper cells is captured and killed by Jagdish. When this attack fails, the terrorist leader decides to target Jagadish himself. He asks Jagadish to surrender to him or else there would be more terrorist attacks. Jagadish decides to sacrifice his life and devises a plan with his fellow army men. Jagadish meets the leader in a ship, which has been rigged with a bomb planted by Jagadish's friend. When he learns about the leader's plan however, which is to expose Jagadish's army team as terrorists and knowing about a Muslim terrorist in the Indian defence Kameeruddin, he fights the leader and escapes with him in a boat. After the ship explodes, he kills the leader. Jagadish confronts Kameeruddin and forces him to commit suicide, and later returns to Kashmir with his team.

If this extremely disturbing video does not result in a Federal investigation into the human rights violations of those Christians physically attacked at the 2012 Dearborn Arab Festival then we are watching the beginning of a new America, a MUSLIM AMERICA.
In this new America, a MUSLIM AMERICA, shariah-compliant Muslims have succeeded in striking fear into the hearts of the infidels. In the case of the Dearborn Arab Festival, you will see that the infidels are NOT the few, brave Christians who withstood the physical attacks by the blood-thirsty Muslims, but the fearful are those who have taken an oath to protect Americans. The fearful, are the Dearborn Sheriff and Police. Sadly, you will see the Police fearful of confronting the criminals and enforcing the law as they stand by watching "Muslims Gone Wild," attack the helpless Christians.
The United West predicts that success of the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt combined with the mounting fury of the "Arab Spring," coupled with the support of President Obama will result in an expansive, "strong-horse" onslaught of Muslim physical aggression, similar to this Dearborn disaster, all across the new, MUSLIM AMERICA.
