Jesse Eden Metcalfe (born December 9, 1978) is an American actor. He is notable for his portrayal of John Rowland on Desperate Housewives, Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on Passions, and as the title character in the movie John Tucker Must Die.
Metcalfe was born in Carmel Valley, California, the son of Nancy (née DeMaio) and Jeff Metcalfe. His father is of French and Italian descent and his mother is of Italian and Portuguese descent. Metcalfe played in several basketball leagues during his teen years in Waterford, Connecticut and graduated from The Williams School in New London, Connecticut.
After successfully auditioning for the NBC soap opera Passions, he played Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald, one of five siblings, from the show's debut in July 1999 to July 2004, and November 2004 to January 2005, co-starring with actress Molly Stanton, creating one of Daytime's favorite couple, Charity & Miguel. The pair departed onscreen together in what is referred to a "classic daytime cliffhanger" in July 2004 but Metcafe was soon brought back to the series for a short-stint later that year.

Plot: A group of women wake up in a cold cement basement. Cold and terrified they find themselves captive to a depraved psychopath whose blood-lust and insanity knows no bounds. Police Detective Balasco and psychiatrist Dr. Metcalfe team up in a desperate attempt to locate the girls and their soon to be murderer - a serial killer known as Ghost. But time is running out as Ghost's sick experiments begin to leave the girls tortured beyond recognition. To survive, the girls must band together in a last attempt to save themselves from a fate far worse than death.
