AirMapp & Serial Kombi present "RESURRECTION", a short movie about the found and the rescue of my 1955 panelvan. It was abandonned deep in a french alps valley since at least 40 years and we pulled it out of the forest in september 2016 by "restoring" it on site and driving it down the mountain !

This is a tour of my van. It's a 58 registration Renault Master LWB 2.5TD High Top panel van with a full conversion. The conversion was carried out long before I bought it, as it had been used previously as hire stock by a leisure vehicle hire company in Newcastle upon Tyne, but luckily its a Diesel engine with only 43,000 miles on the clock when I bought it - so fairly low mileage and well maintained. Another bonus is that it came complete with all of the safety certificates as you would expect with it being ex leisure hire fleet - which was reassuring. I've owned it since July 2016 and it certainly has everything that I need and more.

Classic Restos return to Bathurst in New South Wales, for something different the '2015 Panel Van Nationals". If you were born before 1960 you'll really appreciate the vehicle that was known in Australia as the panel van, in the United States they were called a sedan delivery. Basically it was a standard sedan upfront and a tonne of room out the back.

- We installed a 300 Watt solar system in our stealth campervan and we love it! It makes living in a van much more comfortable, especially since we're also working in the van!
We're using Renogy's flexible (bendable) 100 Watt panels, a 40 amp MPPT charge controller, a 500 Watt pure-sine inverter and a 155 ah Deep Cycle AGM battery from VMAX. Watch the video to check out how we installed it!

For sale is a magnificent custom 1955 Ford Panel Truck located in our Fort Lauderdale showroom. These classic panel trucks are a great multipurpose vehicles and are getting harder and harder o find, especially as nice as this! This custom 1955 Ford Panel Truck is powered by a Chevrolet 350 CID V8 engine, backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a Ford 9" rear end.. This custom '55 Ford is painted in a beautiful maroon color with ghost flames on the hood, and, custom pin striping on the exterior and interior body panels. The front end is hinged so that the entire nose tilts forward which allows you show off that small block Chevy power plant under the hood at car shows. The interior is done in a custom gray cloth, covering the bucket seats, door panels, headliner, and rear side panels. There is an impressive sound system that has been added consisting of a Kenwood head unit, Equalizer, Ipad dock and mount, Kicker 6 1/2" component speakers front and rear, 12" Kicker Subwoofer, and two Kicker powered amplifiers that will blow you away! The custom speaker box behind the front seats houses the amplifiers, subwoofer, and a power inverter and video cable that allows you to hook up a flat screen TV to your Ipad/Ipod. Panel van
A panel van (or panelvan) is a form of solid (rigid-bodied, non-articulated) van, smaller than a lorry or truck, without rear side windows. In some national usages it is distinct from a purpose-designed van in that it is based on the chassis of a family car design.
In places where they are distinct from a "van", they have less cargo space but better agility and maneuverability, making them particularly suited for cities with narrow streets and/or heavy traffic.
Every major European car manufacturer has a panel van in their line-up ; these models used to be modified versions of existing passenger cars, such as the Citroën Visa-based Citroën C15 or the SEAT Ibiza-based SEAT Inca. This format was pioneered from the 1950s by the Citroën 2CV Fourgonnette and the Morris Minor. However, since the introduction of the Citroën Berlingo in 1996, it has become common for these vehicles to have a specific styling and structure, even if they may share chassis, powertrain or other components with passenger cars of the same brand. Examples of this new wave of panel vans are the Renault Kangoo (1997), the Fiat Doblò (2001), Opel Combo (2001), Ford Transit Connect (2003) or the Volkswagen Caddy (2004). They are also purpose-designed to be utilitarian base model MPVs / people carriers, for a range of such vehicles.

Van
A van is a kind of vehicle used for transporting goods or people. Depending on the type of van it can be bigger or smaller than a truck and SUV, and bigger than an automobile. There is some varying in the scope of the word across the different English-speaking countries. The smallest vans, minivans, are commonly used for transporting people from a family. Larger vans with passenger seats are used for institutional purposes, such as transporting students. Larger vans with only front seats are often used for business purposes, to carry goods and equipment. Specially-equipped vans are used by television stations as mobile studios. Postal services and courier companies use large step vans to deliver packages.
Word origin and usage
Van meaning a type of vehicle arose as a contraction of the word caravan. The early records of van as a vehicle in English are in the mid 19th century meaning a covered wagon for transporting goods (earliest reported record 1829). Caravan with the same meaning has records since the 1670s. A caravan, meaning one wagon, had arisen as an extension or corruption of caravan meaning a convoy of multiple wagons.

For sale is a magnificent custom 1955 Ford Panel Truck located in our Fort Lauderdale showroom. These classic panel trucks are a great multipurpose vehicles and are getting harder and harder o find, especially as nice as this! This custom 1955 Ford Panel Truck is powered by a Chevrolet 350 CID V8 engine, backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a Ford 9" rear end.. This custom '55 Ford is painted in a beautiful maroon color with ghost flames on the hood, and, custom pin striping on the exterior and interior body panels. AirMapp & Serial Kombi present "RESURRECTION", a short movie about the found and the rescue of my 1955 panelvan. It was abandonned deep in a french alps valley since at least 40 years and we pulled it out of the forest in september 2016 by "restoring" it on site and driving it down the mountain !

This is a tour of my van. It's a 58 registration Renault Master LWB 2.5TD High Top panel van with a full conversion. The conversion was carried out long before I bought it, as it had been used previously as hire stock by a leisure vehicle hire company in Newcastle upon Tyne, but luckily its a Diesel engine with only 43,000 miles on the clock when I bought it - so fairly low mileage and well maintained. Another bonus is that it came complete with all of the safety certificates as you would expect with it being ex leisure hire fleet - which was reassuring. I've owned it since July 2016 and it certainly has everything that I need and more.

For sale is a magnificent custom 1955 Ford Panel Truck located in our Fort Lauderdale showroom. These classic panel trucks are a great multipurpose vehicles and are getting harder and harder o find, especially as nice as this! This custom 1955 Ford Panel Truck is powered by a Chevrolet 350 CID V8 engine, backed by a 3-speed automatic transmission, running to a Ford 9" rear end.. This custom '55 Ford is painted in a beautiful maroon color with ghost flames on the hood, and, custom pin striping on the exterior and interior body panels. AirMapp & Serial Kombi present "RESURRECTION", a short movie about the found and the rescue of my 1955 panelvan. It was abandonned deep in a french alps valley since at least 40 years and we pulled it out of the forest in september 2016 by "restoring" it on site and driving it down the mountain !

This is a tour of my van. It's a 58 registration Renault Master LWB 2.5TD High Top panel van with a full conversion. The conversion was carried out long before I bought it, as it had been used previously as hire stock by a leisure vehicle hire company in Newcastle upon Tyne, but luckily its a Diesel engine with only 43,000 miles on the clock when I bought it - so fairly low mileage and well maintained. Another bonus is that it came complete with all of the safety certificates as you would expect with it being ex leisure hire fleet - which was reassuring. I've owned it since July 2016 and it certainly has everything that I need and more.

How to Insulate and Panel a Van to Live In
In this video I show my actual process of using glue and screws to insulate and panel the roof and walls of my Chevy van with Polyiso sheet styrofoam insulation. With a R-Value of R-7 per inch it is one of the highest value insulations available and will keep the van very comfortable in the cold. I try to show you every part of the process so you can duplicate it for yourself. One part that is not often covered is the risk of mold and a vapor barrier--we cover those here. The reason I didn't use spray-in foam insulation (like Great Stuff) is that it is not intended for metal because it absorbs water and will cause rust. Never use it on the walls or roof of a van!
