How do rotary engines work? How does a Wankel engine work? Rotary engines only have three moving parts, an eccentric shaft, and two rotors. The engine works very similarly in principle to a piston-cylinder engine, with intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust occurring within the combustion chamber which is somewhat oval shaped. As the rotor spins around, it rotates the eccentric shaft sending power to the transmission. There are many advantages to this design. First off, there are only three moving parts, making it a very simple design. There are no reciprocating parts, and this leads to an ability to rev high as the engine does not need to be concerned with valve float. Also as a result of only having rotational parts, the engine has very little vibration. Power delivery is also very smooth, and rotary engines pack a lot of power into a very compact design.

2016 Mazda Mazda6 I Grand Touring Review. The 2016 Mazda Mazda 6 is a mid-size sedan capable of 40 mpg on the highway. The Mazda6 is powered by a SkyActiv gasoline 2.5L engine producing 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, routed through a 6 speed automatic transmission to the front tires. Features include 19 inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated side mirrors, heated front seats, rear lip spoiler, 8-way power drivers seat, leather-trimmed sport seats, bluetooth, paddle shifters, rearview camera, advanced keyless entry, 60/40 split folding rear seats, Bose 11 speaker sound system, heads up display, LED daytime running, fog, and taillights, power moonroof, Mazda Radar cruise control, I-ELOOP, lane departure warning, and active grill shutters.
The Mazda6 has many superlatives as far as how efficient this vehicle is in comparison to all of the other vehicles which I’ve tested. First off, it has the highest highway fuel economy rating of any of the purely gasoline vehicles which I’ve tried out, at 40 miles per gallon. This also gives it the second highest range of any vehicle I’ve tested, at over 650 miles assuming 40 miles per gallon. At an estimated $1,400 per year, it has the lowest annual fuel cost of any non-hybrid vehicle I’ve tested. It’s the most aerodynamic vehicle I’ve tested to date, tying with the GT-R’s 0.26 drag coefficient, however having a smaller frontal area. This is also accomplished with better than average ground clearance for a sedan, at 6.7 inches. The Mazda6, along with the MX-5, has the highest compression ratio of any gasoline engine I’ve tested at 13:1, however unlike the Miata the 6 only recommends regular octane fuel. Finally, the Mazda has the best smog rating of any vehicle I’ve tested, scoring a 9 out of 10, meaning very low nitrogen oxide or hydrocarbon emissions.

The 2016 Mazda BT-50 has arrived in Australia, with the workhorse ute adopting a revised look, gaining some new tech and coming offered in more spec levels than ever before.
There are 23 derivatives of the new-look Mazda BT-50 to choose from, with 4x2 and 4x4 variants, as well as single-, space- and dual-cab body styles.
You can choose between with a tray-back ute or a pick-up body style, and prices range from $25,570 for the entry-level model up to $53,790 for the flagship GT auto.
As you can see, there have been some subtle styling changes to the BT-50, including a revised grille and headlights, revised front bumper and models fitted with the styleside tub, there’s a slightly revised rear-end.
It’s fair to say the BT-50 still doesn’t look as macho as some of the other utes on sale, but it does tick all the boxes in terms of load carrying capacity.
This XTR model, for instance, has a competitively sized tray and the payload for the auto dual-cab 4x4 is 1095 kilograms – more than many rivals, and about as much as a Mazda 2 hatchback. And nearly all BT-50 models have a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
Inside there have been minimal changes, but there is a new media screen fitted to upper spec models.
The 7.8-inch touchscreen includes a simple and effective satellite navigation system, and Bluetooth phone and audio streaming.
A reverse-view camera is standard in the two highest-spec models – it shows up in the rear view mirror - and that safety tech is now optional on all other variants.
Other areas of the cabin haven’t seen much change – it is still a smart looking space with decent storage options all around, and in dual-cab form it is among the most spacious in the class.
In the back, Mazda claims occupants will have a smoother ride with the updated model thanks to changes under the cabin. I’ll start up here first.

All-new Mazda CX-9 three-row crossover debuts at 2015 Los Angeles Auto Show.
Mazda has enhanced its SKYACTIV-G engine series with the range-topping SKYACTIV-G 2.5T. This 2.5-liter direct-injection turbocharged gasoline engine (227 horsepower, 420 Nm) powers the all-new CX-9 midsize three-row crossover SUV that will go on sale starting from North America in spring 2016.
Designed to make CX-9 look as though it were carved from a single ingot of steel, Machine Gray is the newest signature color from Mazda, complementing CX-9’s surfacing.
CX-9 is scheduled to go on sale in Spring of 2016 in the U.S.

Mazda Motor Corporation (マツダ株式会社, Matsuda Kabushiki-gaisha?) (TYO: 7261) is a Japanese automotive manufacturer based in Fuchū, Aki District, Hiroshima Prefecture, Japan.
In 2007, Mazda produced almost 1.3 million vehicles for global sales, the majority of which (nearly 1 million) were produced in the company's Japanese plants, with the remainder coming from a variety of other plants worldwide.
The company website states that name "derives from Ahura Mazda, a god of the earliest civilizations in West Asia...the god of wisdom, intelligence and harmony..." Ahura Mazda is the Persian – Zoroastrian God. The company website also notes that the name "also derives from the name of our founder, Jujiro Matsuda."
Mazda began as the Toyo Cork Kogyo Co., Ltd, founded in Japan in 1920. Toyo Cork Kogyo renamed itself to Toyo Kogyo Co., Ltd. in 1927. Toyo Kogyo moved from manufacturing machine tools to vehicles with the introduction of the Mazda-Go in 1931. Toyo Kogyo produced weapons for the Japanese military throughout the Second World War, most notably the series 30 through 35 Type 99 rifle. The company formally adopted the Mazda name in 1984, though every automobile sold from the beginning bore that name. The Mazda R360 was introduced in 1960, followed by the Mazda engines in 1962.

James Douglas Muir "Jay" Leno /ˈlɛnoʊ/ (born April 28, 1950) is an American stand-up comedian and television host.
From 1992 to 2009, Leno was the host of NBC's The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Beginning in September 2009, Leno started a primetime talk show, titled The Jay Leno Show, which aired weeknights at 10:00 p.m. (Eastern Time, UTC-5), also on NBC. After The Jay Leno Show was canceled in January 2010 amid a host controversy, Leno returned to host The Tonight Show with Jay Leno on March 1, 2010.
James "Jay" Leno was born in New Rochelle, New York, in 1950. His mother, Catherine (née Muir; 1911–1993), a homemaker, was born in Greenock, Scotland, and came to the United States at age 11. Leno's father, Angelo (1910–1994), who worked as an insurance salesman, was born in New York to immigrants from Flumeri, Italy. Leno grew up in Andover, Massachusetts, and although his high school guidance counselor recommended that he drop out of school, he later obtained a Bachelor's degree in speech therapy from Emerson College, where he started a comedy club in 1973. Leno's siblings include his late older brother, Patrick, who was a Vietnam veteran and a lawyer.

How do rotary engines work? How does a Wankel engine work? Rotary engines only have three moving parts, an eccentric shaft, and two rotors. The engine works very similarly in principle to a piston-cylinder engine, with intake, compression, combustion, and exhaust occurring within the combustion chamber which is somewhat oval shaped. As the rotor spins around, it rotates the eccentric shaft sending power to the transmission. There are many advantages to this design. First off, there are only three moving parts, making it a very simple design. There are no reciprocating parts, and this leads to an ability to rev high as the engine does not need to be concerned with valve float. Also as a result of only having rotational parts, the engine has very little vibration. Power delivery is also very smooth, and rotary engines pack a lot of power into a very compact design.

2016 Mazda Mazda6 I Grand Touring Review. The 2016 Mazda Mazda 6 is a mid-size sedan capable of 40 mpg on the highway. The Mazda6 is powered by a SkyActiv gasoline 2.5L engine producing 184 horsepower and 185 lb-ft of torque, routed through a 6 speed automatic transmission to the front tires. Features include 19 inch alloy wheels, rain-sensing windshield wipers, heated side mirrors, heated front seats, rear lip spoiler, 8-way power drivers seat, leather-trimmed sport seats, bluetooth, paddle shifters, rearview camera, advanced keyless entry, 60/40 split folding rear seats, Bose 11 speaker sound system, heads up display, LED daytime running, fog, and taillights, power moonroof, Mazda Radar cruise control, I-ELOOP, lane departure warning, and active grill shutters.
The Mazda6 has many superlatives as far as how efficient this vehicle is in comparison to all of the other vehicles which I’ve tested. First off, it has the highest highway fuel economy rating of any of the purely gasoline vehicles which I’ve tried out, at 40 miles per gallon. This also gives it the second highest range of any vehicle I’ve tested, at over 650 miles assuming 40 miles per gallon. At an estimated $1,400 per year, it has the lowest annual fuel cost of any non-hybrid vehicle I’ve tested. It’s the most aerodynamic vehicle I’ve tested to date, tying with the GT-R’s 0.26 drag coefficient, however having a smaller frontal area. This is also accomplished with better than average ground clearance for a sedan, at 6.7 inches. The Mazda6, along with the MX-5, has the highest compression ratio of any gasoline engine I’ve tested at 13:1, however unlike the Miata the 6 only recommends regular octane fuel. Finally, the Mazda has the best smog rating of any vehicle I’ve tested, scoring a 9 out of 10, meaning very low nitrogen oxide or hydrocarbon emissions.

The 2016 Mazda BT-50 has arrived in Australia, with the workhorse ute adopting a revised look, gaining some new tech and coming offered in more spec levels than ever before.
There are 23 derivatives of the new-look Mazda BT-50 to choose from, with 4x2 and 4x4 variants, as well as single-, space- and dual-cab body styles.
You can choose between with a tray-back ute or a pick-up body style, and prices range from $25,570 for the entry-level model up to $53,790 for the flagship GT auto.
As you can see, there have been some subtle styling changes to the BT-50, including a revised grille and headlights, revised front bumper and models fitted with the styleside tub, there’s a slightly revised rear-end.
It’s fair to say the BT-50 still doesn’t look as macho as some of the other utes on sale, but it does tick all the boxes in terms of load carrying capacity.
This XTR model, for instance, has a competitively sized tray and the payload for the auto dual-cab 4x4 is 1095 kilograms – more than many rivals, and about as much as a Mazda 2 hatchback. And nearly all BT-50 models have a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
Inside there have been minimal changes, but there is a new media screen fitted to upper spec models.
The 7.8-inch touchscreen includes a simple and effective satellite navigation system, and Bluetooth phone and audio streaming.
A reverse-view camera is standard in the two highest-spec models – it shows up in the rear view mirror - and that safety tech is now optional on all other variants.
Other areas of the cabin haven’t seen much change – it is still a smart looking space with decent storage options all around, and in dual-cab form it is among the most spacious in the class.
In the back, Mazda claims occupants will have a smoother ride with the updated model thanks to changes under the cabin. I’ll start up here first.

As you can see, there have been some subtle styling changes to the BT-50, including a revised grille and headlights, revised front bumper and models fitted with the styleside tub, there’s a slightly revised rear-end.
It’s fair to say the BT-50 still doesn’t look as macho as some of the other utes on sale, but it does tick all the boxes in terms of load carrying capacity.
This XTR model, for instance, has a competitively sized tray and the payload for the auto dual-cab 4x4 is 1095 kilograms – more than many rivals, and about as much as a Mazda 2 hatchback. And nearly all BT-50 models have a 3.5-tonne towing capacity.
Inside there have been minimal changes, but there is a new media screen fitted to upper spec models.
The 7.8-inch touchscreen includes a simple and effective satellite navigation system, and Bluetooth phone and audio streaming.
A reverse-view camera is standard in the two highest-spec models – it shows up in the rear view mirror - and that safety tech is now optional on all other variants.
Other areas of the cabin haven’t seen much change – it is still a smart looking space with decent storage options all around, and in dual-cab form it is among the most spacious in the class.
In the back, Mazda claims occupants will have a smoother ride with the updated model thanks to changes under the cabin. I’ll start up here first.
