Arrived at Luneta around 0630H. Took a nice spot at the elevated portion at the side of the Quirino Grandstand (between the Tamaraw and the Carabao statues). Made a wild guess that the flypast will be coming from the direction of the Manila Bay towards Taft Avenue, and both jets did exactly what I thought right in cue after the last

The uploader of this video is a Catholic. You may have seen the faults and sins of our priests but I humbly ask you to not look only to the evil side of some of our priests but also to their sacrifices. Jose Rizal presented the evil side of our clergy but it does not mean the Catholic Church as a whole committed such atrocities. We admit, we are not perfect, oftentimes we commit things not according to Jesus Christ and to the Catholic Church and for that I apologize beforehand. I do not wish to attack other sects or religions but I wish to explain our position. We Catholics are not evil, but we are not also perfect. Jose Rizal is a great example of our faith, like Fra. Guillermo Savonarola (a priest who fought the corrupt papacy of Cesare Borgia), Jose Rizal made great sacrifices to expose the bad things from the Church. To all non-Catholics, as the same children of God and as brothers and sisters in the same Lord Jesus Christ, let us open our hearts with humility and accept one another.
Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning, is now and ever will be, world without end. Amen.

On December 29 at 6 a.m., Capt. Rafael Dominguez read before Rizal his death sentence.
At around 7 a.m. of December 29, Rizal was transferred to his death cell in Fort Santiago.
By 6:30am, He - in his black suit, black necktie, black hat, black shoes and white vest - calmly walked from his prison cell in Fort Santiago to the execution site, In his right arm was a rosary which he kept on holding until his final breath.
At 7 a.m. on December 30, 1896 at Luneta, Manila, the 35-year-old patriot was shot in the back by a firing squad. He hesitated, turned halfway around to face his executioners, and fell on his back to face the Philippine sun in the east

Rizal Day 2015 Flag Raising Ceremony with PAF FA50 Jets Flypast.
Arrived at Luneta around 0630H. Took a nice spot at the elevated portion at the side of the Quirino Grandstand (between the Tamaraw and the Carabao statues). Made a wild guess that the flypast will be coming from the direction of the Manila Bay towards Taft Avenue, and both jets did exactly what I thought right in cue after the last note of the national anthem.

Take a tour of the medieval fortified city.
Intramuros, in Philippine colonial history, was the original Manila. The Spaniards first landed here in 1571 and conquered this area, that was once a center of trade for Asian goods. It will take you an entire day, or longer, to discover Intramuros.
Intramuros, which means inside the walls, used to be the political, cultural and commercial center of the Spaniards in the East. To ward off invaders, the Spaniards built the wall to protect the area. Intramuros housed Fort Santiago, the headquarters for colonizers from the Spaniards, the Americas, the Japanese, until the Philippine Independence in 1946.
The Philippine national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal, was incarcerated in Fort Santiago. And in his prison cell he wrote his famous poem, Mi último Adiós, before being executed by musketry. Shelling in 1945 destroyed the city beyond recognition. However, bit by bit, Intramuros was reconstructed and has recaptured its historic past. This is Baluarte de San Diego, the oldest fortification in Intramuros. Now it is favorite spot among students and visitors.
There are several schools inside Intramuros, including Letran, which was established in 1620. The present Manila Cathedral, built in 1954, resembled the old design and captured the beauty of the old churches in Intramuros. The Palcio del gobernador actually sits in the original spot of the old Spanish government building. Although modernization is inevitable, Intramuros is one of the best places to witness Manila's past. I am Roselyn Cantos, showing you Manila.

Shopping and eating out is often cheaper compared to larger cities if you know the local language and culture. Some people maybe interested in retiring in Philippines to live their dreams. I highly recommend you visit first to explore areas you are interested in. Take a few weeks or months to see if you like it and can fit in. I know successful expats who stayed and have a happy life, and others who left Philippines after a few years. Living in a city long term is not the same as a short vacation. So you will have to get use to local standards. A local standard of living cost can be very affordable, depending on your lifestyle. But a high Western standard like living in America or Australia would cost the same or more than living back home in USA or AU. I've seen other party goers living beyond their means and they get into trouble or run out of money real quick.

City Burger, San Jose St, Dumaguete. Inato BBQ chicken.
Catching up with some local pinoy friends.
Hayahay Treehouse Bar and Viewdeck restaurant, Flores Ave Piapi, Escano Beach, Dumaguete (further up Rizal Boulevard).
Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
It is important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
It is common for taxi drivers in Manila and every other city to try rip you off, or overcharge foreigners. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start. Ask locals what it costs to your location. If you are not comfortable, don't use that taxi. Don't be afraid to move on and find another taxi!
Shopping mall culture, locals love the mall for the aircon and to get out of the heat.
Generally you will notice ash and dust particles in the air as burning trash and charcoal BBQ cooking is quite common. Also if there is a lot of vehicle traffic in that city from Jeepney buses, motorbikes, trucks and cars.
Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be firm and confident, but always be respectful and polite. Shop around, you can often get a better price. Ask around about local fair pricing for things you want to do.
"Tip" can also mean bribe, so don't be afraid to ask what you're paying for upfront. Locals often do things to try help you, but then expect a tip.
The average basic worker earns PHP200 - 300 a day. So tipping PHP 20 - 50 is fine.

B Adventure, Travel Series: Philippines 2015. Season 2, Episode 16. Guide, tips, and advice. More detailed info and links below. Dumaguete City, province of Negros Oriental. It is the capital, principal seaport, and largest city of the province. Nicknamed "The City of Gentle People". Shopping and eating out can be cheaper compared to larger cities.
B Adventures Facebook Page.

Pops Place Bistro, Calindagan Road. Across the road from Robinsons Place mall. Modern and clean restaurant, affordable and good Pinoy food.
7-Eleven Store Dumaguete. This is a historic store as it is the first one to open in Dumaguete City.
Honeycomb Tourist Inn, on Rizal Boulevard. Just chilling out before heading home.
Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
It is important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
It is common for taxi drivers in Manila and every other city to try rip you off, or overcharge foreigners. This includes motorbikes, or pedicabs/trike taxi. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start. Ask locals and your hotel what it costs to your destination.

The City of Dapitan is a third-class city in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, on the island of Mindanao. It is historically significant as the place where José Rizal was exiled by the Spaniards for his revolutionary activities. He is considered a national hero, and this is known as the "Shrine City in the Philippines". The city is also home to Fantasyland, the first amusement park in the Visayas-Mindanao region.

Our group had a beach side dinner at Dakak Resort. Then we head to Gloria's Fantasyland amusement park. Plenty of fun rides and live entertainment. There was also beauty pageant queens who did a big night parade, Festival of Colors, and firework show. Out front at Gloria's, there was a beauty pageant, and live band at Gloria's, outside of Fantasyland. Plenty of beautiful Filipinas.

Domestic Tourism Project =) Jessamin, Alyssa, Alyza.
Antipolo is rich in natural attractions. Its natural landform and existing vegetative covers makes for very exciting scenic spots. Most of these natural attractions are in the higher evaluations of eastern and northern Antipolo, where the necessary infrastructure for tourism are not in place yet.
*1st destination- Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage
Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage. Located at the Town Proper of Antipolo, the home of Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage (Nuestra Senora De la Paz Y Buen Viaje). Historians say that this miraculous icon has sailed back and forth between Manila and Acapulco eight times and on several occasions was credited with saving her galleon form destruction by pirates and Dutch and British blockades. The galleon's safe arrivals were attributed to the miraculous powers of the statuette. It was on November 26, 1626 that Archbishop of Manila, Michael O' Doherty. The month of May is a fiesta in Antipolo were thousands of devotees especially those intending to travel abroad come to pay homage to the Shrine of Our Lady of Good Voyage to ask for a safe voyage.
*2nd destination - Hinulugang Taktak Falls
Hinulugang Taktak. The Hinulugang Taktak, located at Taktak Road, Brgy. Dela Paz, falls is a part of Antipolo's natural and cultural heritage. Its legendary origin dates back to the 15 th century when legend has it that the waterfalls was where the townsfolk threw the large bell that caused undue disturbance whenever it was rung at Angelus. Its sound was so loud that the people could not endure it. They demanded that the local priest get rid of the bell. Thus "Hinulugang Taktak", meaning the place where the bell was dropped. The place has since become a favorite spots for visitors and clients. The park is an alluring view of natural formation.
*3rd Destination- Inday Nelly Mystical Cave
Mystical Caves. Located at Puting Bato, Brgy. San Luis (with 205 steps to reach the opening, with natural rock formations- stalactites and stalagmites of religious icons such as Trinity, Calvary, Holy Spirit, Bell and Madonna and Child) Stalagmites and stalactites taking in shapes and faces of religious icons give one a sense of mysticism in the caverns of the Mystical Caves.

B Adventure, Travel Series: Philippines 2015. Season 2, Episode 3. Guide, tips, and advice. More detailed info below. Tour of Dumaguete Studio Apartments, in Candau-ay barangay (barrio or neighbourhood). Dumaguete City, province of Negros Oriental. It is the capital, principal seaport, and largest city of the province. Nicknamed "The City of Gentle People". Shopping and eating out is often cheaper compared to larger cities.
Dumaguete Studio Apartments website.
http://dumaguete-studio-apartments.com/
The main attraction for travellers: Good security with high walls, barbed wire, and electrified fence; good internet; nicer long term apartment facilities and massive pool; motor bikes available for rent or complimentary for long-term guests, very convenient for daily transport; lots of privacy and space in quiet area; laundry mat, and bakery next door, and sari-sari convenience store a few meters further down.
The down side: It is further away from town, so if you do not ride a motor bike or choose not, you lose the motorbike advantage and transport convenience; negotiating affordable pedicab trike taxi's everyday can be pain, or expensive return trips from town; there is a "smokey mountain" trash dump site near by where they burn trash every few days. It's not all the time, but you will notice the ash and dust particles in the air; if you do not want the high security, nicer facilities, or don't want to ride a motor bike, there are plenty of cheaper options available closer in town near the malls and Rizal Boulevard.
Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
Its important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
Its common for taxi drivers in Manila and every other city to try rip you off, or overcharge foreigners.
Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be tough, but be respectful and polite.
So tipping PHP 20 - 50 is fine.

wn.com/Travel Philippines, S2, Ep3, Dumaguete Studio Apartments, Candau Ay, Negros Oriental
Locals often inflate prices for foreigners and tourists. Haggle and negotiate nicely. Be tough, but be respectful and polite.

B Adventures Travel Series: Philippines 2015, Season 2, Episode 25. Travel vlog guide, tips, advice, food, and wanderlust. More info and links below.
B Adventures Facebook Page.
https://www.facebook.com/pages/B-Adventures/1557734381136741
Gloria de Dapitan, Fantasyland Amusement Park, and Dakak Park and Beach Resort are a group business.
http://fantasylandtours.com/
Gloria's Fantasyland amusement park, plenty of fun rides and live entertainment. There was also beauty pageant queens who did a big night parade, Festival of Colors, and firework show. Out front at Gloria's, there was a beauty pageant, and live band at Gloria's, outside of Fantasyland. Plenty of beautiful Filipinas.
WARNING! I do NOT recommend Mindanao region for inexperienced, or solo foreign travellers. If you do go to Mindanao, travel with local Filipino's and stay in safe and well researched areas. Security has improved in recent years, but can change very quickly. There are active criminal and terrorist groups in Mindanao, that target foreigners for kidnappings and attacks.
Travel Tips:
Everyone spoke English and generally very friendly.
It is important to have photo ID for flights, hotels, and if police ask.
It is common for taxi drivers in Manila, and every other city, to try rip off or overcharge foreigners and tourists. This includes motorbikes, or pedicabs / trike taxi. Ask them nicely to put the meter on, or negotiate the price from the start. Ask local security and your hotel what it costs for transport to your destination.
