Montreal - Quebec - Canada Travel Guide, Vacation World Travel https://www.youtube.com/user/World1Tube Montreal - Quebec - Canada http://goo.gl/LHslES First-time visitors never fail to be surprised by Montreal; French-speaking with grand old buildings and a European vibe, it sits apart from other North American cities. In fact, it really is like no other. Montreal combines old-warm charm and metropolitan energy, small-town warmth and friendliness with vibrant, cosmopolitan cool and bohemian vibes with lively, upbeat sparks. Unlike the modern sprawls sometimes associated with other Canadian urban centres, Montreal is anything but samey. In fact, its intoxicating diversity -- when it comes to ethnicity, culture, language and cuisine -- is what makes this city tick. For gourmands, the city has plenty to offer; it claims to have the largest number of eateries per capita in North America. Food and drink are celebrated with gusto with a number of enticing culinary events throughout the year. In addition, the city's public markets are something to truly savour -- tuck into delicious regional specialities like crepes and fried squid and ubiquitous maple food products as you browse countless stalls selling tantalising treats. When it comes to sightseeing, there's plenty to gawp at. Thanks to a relatively small downtown area and squeaky clean public transport system, tourists can explore the city safe in knowledge that they won't get lost, or indeed hassled. Enjoy a horse-drawn carriage ride (calèche) along the St Laurence River in Old Montreal and amble down to the buzzing harbourfront replete with cyclists, roller-bladers, pedal boats and passers-by. Stroll to The Plateau where wrought-iron staircases, designer fashion boutiques, a thriving arts scene and snazzy nightspots pepper its funky streets. Pop over to Mile End, once the home to the city's Jewish and Italian communities, and now a cool district with quirky restaurants, cafes, shops and bars to explore. Spend some time in Downtown offering a fabulous mix of soaring skyscrapers and heritage buildings intermingled with quaint boutiques. Soak up the peaceful vibes in The Village, one of the largest gay districts in North America, where you can dine al fresco in the summer when the main drag, Sainte-Catherine Street, becomes pedestrianised. Sip a cappuccino in Little Italy, home to one of the city's best markets, the Jean-Talon Market, or escape from the urban hustle to Pôle des Rapides, a 21km-long (12 miles) recreational park just minutes from downtown where you can enjoy a lazy cruise along the locks of the Lachine Canal. Meanwhile, Montreal is the gateway to some incredible natural surroundings -- steal away to the Laurentians for a day or weekend trip to sample its golf courses, spa hotels and tiny mountain villages. Or head south east to the Montérégie, home to orchards, vineyards and maple groves. Meanwhile, the Eastern Townships draw legions of cyclists, thanks to 500km (310 miles) of winding biking trails through unspoilt countryside and towns characterised by Victorian architecture. Back in the city itself, plan your visit to coincide with one of the city's cultural or sporting events -- from fireworks or food, to jazz music or chamber music, international tennis or the Grand Prix, there's sure to be something on to pique your interest. ========================================= Montreal Museums, Montreal Transport, Montreal Tours, Montreal Introduction, Montreal Attractions, Montreal Hotels, Montreal Restaurants, Montreal Shopping, Montreal Nightlife, world travel video, Montreal video, Montreal, Montreal Travel guide, Montreal Tourism, Montreal Vacation, Canada, Canada travel guide, Canada tourism, Canada vacation, Canada Attractions, North America, Quebec === Montreal - Quebec - Canada Travel Guide, Vacation, Tourism, Travel Tips, Attractions

Bratislava, Slovakia Travel Video - Proximity to nature gives Slovakia's capital its strongest flavouring. The Danube wends through town and cycle paths through its verdant flood plain beginning just outside the centre. Meanwhile, erupting a 30-minute walk from the train station are the densely forested Small Carpathians; the trailer to a mountainous extent that runs country-wide, virtually unimpeded by civilisation. Then there's ski runs and vineyards to amble among. The charming – if tiny – Starý Mesto (Old Town) is the place to start appreciating Bratislava. Stroll narrow pedestrian streets of pastel 18th-century buildings or sample the nigh-on ubiquitous sidewalk cafes under the watchful gaze of the city castle, harking back to medieval times. Done with the old? In with the new: the city boasts intriguing Socialist-era architecture worth checking out and one of Eastern Europe's most spectacular modern art spaces. Contrasts like this are all part of Bratislava's allure. Enjoy Your Bratislava - Slovakia Travel Video!

For a closer look at some of the adventures you can enjoy in Panama, visit http://amble.com/ambler/category/islandinterns There may come a time in your life when your wanderlust goes unsatisfied, when a travel experience falls flat, or when you find that your chosen destination is disappointingly one-dimensional. This will never happen in Panama. After watching this week's episode of The Adventures of the Island Interns, you'll understand why. The sheer number of things to do in Panama is mind-numbing. Thrilling sport fishing and whale watching, jungle hiking and canopy zip lining, prime scuba and snorkeling, birdwatching, island-hopping, rock climbing -- you'll find the opportunities for adventure virtually inexhaustible. While still a lesser-known destination, Panama has received a lot of attention in recent years as an emerging hotspot for today's geotourists and adventure travelers. This year, top publications seem to be turning up the heat on "hotspot." The New York Times named Panama the top place to visit in 2012; Forbes, USA Today, and numerous other publications are featuring Panama in their recommendations for where to travel this year. Nearly all of them highlight the fact that Panama boasts an abundance of natural and cultural attractions -- but one point that goes uncommunicated is the potency of the experiences you'll enjoy in Panama. For instance, a coffee tour in Panama is not just about sipping one of the world's finest roasts in the shade of organic coffee trees -- it's also a fascinating history lesson, an opportunity to connect with local people, as well as a chance to explore the rare cloud forest ecosystems nearby and glimpse bright tropical birds in the wild. Panamanian adventures pack a real punch -- simultaneously satisfying your deep desires for something eye-opening, something truly memorable, something unspoiled; a chance to connect, to learn, to grow as a person. It's a little tougher to express this multifaceted intensity, which is why a lot of the press focuses on the abundance and accessibility of wild adventures in Panama. And truthfully, that's what this episode of the Island Interns video series accomplishes -- it introduces you to many of the excursions available to Panama travelers. But our larger purpose in inviting travelers to our pristine jungle-covered island, as well as explore spectacular destinations off the beaten path in Panama: to foster life-changing experiences. The final installment of the Island Interns' documentary series will feature Luke Hansen and Ben Brown's reflections on travel. Throughout their time in Panama, the 2011 Island Interns saw and experienced more than some people do in a lifetime -- but as our new travel video series illustrates, this is possible for anyone who ventures to Panama's breathtaking bi-oceanic shores.

You've never taken a more important coffee break in your life. To read the Island Interns' account of their coffee tour, visit http://amble.com/ambler/category/islandinterns On a lush mountainside in Panama's Chiriqui province, the Kotowa coffee estate stands as a testament to Panamanian history, sustainable agriculture, and superior coffee. It's a heady brew, and one that owner Ricardo Koyner's family has been perfecting for 4 generations over the last 100 years. Purveyors of fine coffee commend Koyner on his dedication to keeping his family's time-honored traditions of sustainability alive in every roast. The Kotowa coffee farm and adjacent factory are renowned for producing some of the most sipworthy java on the planet -- ranking #4 among the world's best coffees -- as well as for high yields and uncompromising quality, which can be difficult for an organic producer to achieve year after year. But for someone who takes coffee as seriously as Ricardo Koyner, showing respect for the environment is an intrinsic part of the growing process. Anyone who takes a tour at Kotowa leaves with the flavor of fine coffee lingering on their tongue and words of praise lingering on their lips. One TripAdvisor reviewer recalled the experience as "a lesson in how a big, successful business can also be incredibly environmentally and socially responsible." Sustainable Stats at Kotowa: 1 liter of water used per pound of coffee produced (most other mills use up 10-20 liters of water per pound of coffee produced) All byproducts of milling (pulp, wastewater) go into the production of organic fertilizer used on Kotowa coffee farm Hand in hand with respect for the environment is the Kotowa commitment to respecting the local community. "With housing, triple pay, and schooling for the kids, it's easy to see that excellent labor incentives lead to excellent products," says Island Intern Ben Brown of his experience touring the Kotowa coffee farm. At Kotowa, visitors receive a fresh cup of welcome from everyone involved in making the world's best coffee found in Panama: the Koyners, the harvesters and coffee mill workers, and the local tour outfitters. Naturally, everybody takes a great deal of pride and pleasure in bowling over visitors with the potent blend of Panamanian history, sustainable farming techniques, and exquisite coffee varieties to be experienced at Kotowa. Although they have only lived in Panama since 1998, the Dutch duo of Terry and Hans van der Vooren know Panama like it has always been their home, and they certainly share it with others as if that were the case. "We love to show off the wonders of Panama's nature, and it's always a joy to see the reaction of somebody who discovers the excellence of Panamanian coffee," the van der Voorens say on their website. This husband-and-wife team runs Coffee Adventures, a local touring outfitter in Boquete that operates Kotowa coffee tours in addition to offering other adventure touring options in the area, including birding tours of the nearby Sendero de los Quetzales. Their 3-hour Kotowa coffee tour takes you on a journey from on-the-tree coffee fruits to in-your-cup specialty joe. You'll spend the entire final hour of this touring option inside the charming historic mill (the oldest coffee mill in Panama!) basking in the aromas and flavors of several varieties of Kotowa's world-renowned coffee. Consider yourself warned. With a memorable coffee tour such as this one, you may leave Kotowa a coffee snob -- as well as a connoisseur of one-of-a-kind travel experiences. To plan your tour, email Hans & Terry van der Vooren at info@coffeeadventures.net.

Amble is a town, civil parish and seaport on the North Sea coast, in Northumberland, England. It lies at the mouth of the River Coquet, and the nearby Coquet Island is clearly visible from its beaches and harbour. The civil parish, which has town status, is called Amble by the Sea, and has a population of 6,044.
There are two suggested origins of the place-name Amble. Paul Younger of Newcastle University favours a Gaelic origin from "Am Béal", meaning "the river mouth", while Nottingham University's Institute for Name-Studies quotes (in their Key to English Place Names) an Old English origin of "Amma's/Anna's bile", meaning "Amma's/Anna's headland".
Amble grew in the nineteenth century as collieries were opened, and its then newly built railway links to the Northumberland coalfields, made it an ideal centre for the transport and export of coal. Other industries, such as ship building and repair on an area known as the Braid, now a greenfield site with a modern marina, and sea fishing, expanded with the growth of the town, although traditional Northumbrian fishing vessels such as cobles have sheltered in the natural harbour for centuries previously. A part of the harbour wall suffered a partial collapse in the late summer of 2008 due to flooding of the River Coquet.
