Teddy Mayer

Edward Everett "Teddy" Mayer (September 8, 1935 – January 30, 2009) was an American motor racing entrepreneur who was successful in several categories of racing, including Formula One and IndyCars.

Life and career

Mayer was born in Scranton, Pennsylvania. While studying law at Cornell, he became involved in the Rev-Em Formula Junior team whose drivers included his brother Timmy and Peter Revson. After graduating in 1962 Mayer followed his brother and Revson to Europe and joined Bruce McLaren who was setting up his Formula One team. Despite the death of his brother in 1964, Mayer continued to be involved in motor sport and assumed control of the McLaren team after Bruce McLaren was killed in 1970.

For much of the 1970s McLaren enjoyed considerable success, with both Emerson Fittipaldi and James Hunt taking the drivers title. In addition to Formula One, McLaren also competed in USAC, CART, and CanAm racing under Mayer's management. The McLaren team won the Indianapolis 500 twice; a McLaren chassis entered by Roger Penske also won the 500.

Teddy Geiger

John Theodore "Teddy" Geiger II (born September 16, 1988) is an American singer-songwriter, music producer and occasional actor. He is known to play the guitar, bass, piano & drums.

Geiger has released two albums to date Underage Thinking and The Last Fears. In addition to his own music he is a versatile songwriter/producer and is a featured artist on Tiesto's 2013 album Clublife 3 Stockholm with the single "Love and Run". Clublife 3 Stockholm debuted at number 16 in the Billboard charts and number 1 in multiple dance charts worldwide. Geiger co-wrote/co-produced "Little Black Dress" on One Direction's album Midnight Memories released in Nov 2013. The album debuted at number 1 in 26 countries. He also co-wrote the song "Stitches" from Shawn Mendes' debut album Handwritten which debuted at number 1 in the United States and Canada.

Early life and education

Teddy Geiger was born in Buffalo, New York, later moving to Rochester, New York. He wrote his first song at the age of 10. Raised a Roman Catholic, Geiger attended McQuaid Jesuit High School through his junior year. After signing his first major record label deal, Geiger wrote his first hit single "I Will" composing the music and lyrics

Travis Mayer

Travis Mayer (born February 22, 1982 in Buffalo, New York) is an olympic-level Freestyle Skier. He won the silver medal in the moguls competition at the 2002 Winter Olympics and also competed in the 2006 Winter Olympics.

Travis grew up skiing in Western New York at Holiday Valley and across the Northeast as a member of the Holiday Valley Freestyle Team. After completing junior high school in Orchard Park, as a freshman in high school he went to Killington Mountain School in Vermont for five months to concentrate on his skiing. Mayer moved to Steamboat Springs, Colorado, to attend the Lowell Whiteman School. In the fall of his junior year, at 16, Mayer was named a member of the US Ski Team. Mayer continued to pursue skiing at an elite level, but by 2000 began to want to take a break from skiing and explore other life avenues, so he enrolled at Cornell University and spent a semester studying there (he continues to pursue his degree through summer classes and correspondence courses). In January 2001, Mayer returned to full-time skiing and his development further accelecerated. He made the Olympic team, and took silver at the Salt Lake City Games in 2002. Subsequently, he won his first World Cup event, in 2005 at Lake Placid.
