Although a massive police presence literally appeared within a minute of a spontaneous march to Zuccotti Park... it took the much longer to get medical help for someone arrested and stricken by a seizure. They [NYPD] seemed totally inept... to the point of brutality in dealing with a women who apparently had a seizure or epileptic fit. Medical help came much later and only after the crowd begged the NYPD to get such help. Some NYPD officers appeared embarrassed, ashamed even, by their actions... But they did not change their menacing posture one bit.
The NYT website reports the same scene this way: "A woman received medical attention at Zuccotti Park." nytimes.com/slideshow/2012/03/18/nyregion/20120318_occupy-8.html But their blogsite was better: "At one point, a woman who appeared to be suffering from seizures flopped on the ground in handcuffs as bystanders shouted for the police to remove the cuffs and provide medical attention. For several minutes the woman lay on the ground as onlookers made increasingly agonized demands until an ambulance arrived and the woman was placed inside." cityroom.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/03/17/arrests-made-as-protesters-mark-occupy-wall-streets-six-month-anniversary/
