President Barack Obama will be Jerry Seinfeld's first guest when the seventh season of his online talk show, "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," opens Dec. 30.
The show features the New York comedian picking up fellow comics in classic cars and taking them out for coffee and conversation.
Obama and Seinfeld spoke at the White House earlier this month. The White House says they took turns circling the South Lawn in a 1963 Corvette Stingray split window coupe before chatting over coffee in a basement dining room. They spoke about what makes White House life both remarkable and routine.
The appearance is another example of Obama trying to appeal to new audiences.

Obama cries for gun control, wipes away tears as he calls for new gun measures. Obama tears up during emotional gun control speech.
President Barack Obama teared up Tuesday during an emotional speech on gun control at the White House.
Obama spoke to lay out the rationale behind his recently announced slate of executive actions on guns in an emotional speech, surrounded by gun control advocates and family members of victims of gun violence.
"Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad. And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day," Obama said.
"We do have to feel a sense of urgency about it," Obama said.
He added: "Because people are dying and the constant excuses for inaction no longer suffice. That's why we're here today. Not to debate the last mass shooting, but to do something to try and prevent the next one."
The president laid out the specifics of his plan, explaining the newly clarified rules that narrow the types of individual "private" gun sellers that can sell guns without subjecting their buyers to a background checks, and noting that the FBI would hire 230 new agents to help process background checks.
"Anybody in the business of selling firearms must get a license ... or be subject to criminal prosecutions," Obama said. "It doesn't matter whether you're doing it over the Internet or a gun show."
Obama also slammed critics of his push for gun control measures.
The president said that states that loosening gun control restrictions, specifically Missouri, had according to some studies had seen an increased likelihood of gun violence.
Obama also blasted some Republican presidential candidates who have criticized the president's plan.
"Contrary to claims of some presidential candidates apparently before this meeting, this is not a plot to take away everybody's guns. You pass a background check, you can purchase a firearm."
"The gun lobby may be holding Congress hostage right now, but they cannot hold America hostage," Obama said.

After weeks of speculation surrounding the possibility of President Barack Obama issuing executive actions on the nation's dire need for a stronger focus on gun control, Obama revealed his plans to help reduce the prevalence of gun-related violence across the country. Ahead of the announcement, so-called gun rights activists immediately started to stir up controversy surrounding the possibility of stricter background checks for those wishing to purchase firearms. Obama, however, pushed forward with his initiative before ultimately revealing his plan during a White House press conference on Tuesday.
Mark Barden, the father of Sandy Hook victim Daniel Barden, introduced Obama and Vice President Joe Biden by reminding the nation that Obama previously "made a promise" that he would do "everything in his power" to keep the nation safe from preventable gun violence. "I still remember the first time we met," Obama said to Barden when taking the podium. "That changed me that day and my hope earnestly has been that it would change the country."

A president is a leader of an organization, company, club, trade union, university, or country.
Etymologically, a president is one who presides, who sits in leadership (from Latin pre- "before" + sedere "to sit"; giving the term praeses). Originally, the term referred to the presiding officer of a ceremony or meeting (i.e., chairman), but today it most commonly refers to an official. Among other things, "President" today is a common title for the heads of state of most republics, whether popularly elected, chosen by the legislature or by a special electoral college.
Presidents in countries with a democratic or representative form of government are usually elected for a specified period of time and in some cases may be re-elected by the same process by which they are appointed, i.e. in many nations, periodic popular elections. The powers vested in such presidents vary considerably. Some presidencies, such as that of Ireland, are largely ceremonial, whereas other systems vest the President with substantive powers such as the appointment and dismissal of Prime Ministers or cabinets, the power to declare war, and powers of veto on legislation. In many nations the President is also the Commander-in-Chief of the nation's armed forces, though once again this can range from a ceremonial role to one with considerable authority.

Jerome Allen "Jerry" Seinfeld (born April 29, 1954) is an American stand-up comedian, actor, writer, and television and film producer, best known for playing a semi-fictional version of himself in the sitcom Seinfeld (1989–1998), which he co-created and co-wrote with Larry David, and, in the show's final two seasons, co-executive-produced.
In his first major foray back into the media since the finale of Seinfeld, he co-wrote and co-produced the film Bee Movie, also taking on the lead role of Barry B. Benson. In February 2010, Seinfeld premiered a reality TV series called The Marriage Ref on NBC. Seinfeld directed Colin Quinn in the Broadway show Long Story Short at the Helen Hayes Theater in New York which ran until January 8, 2011.
Seinfeld is known for specializing in observational humor, often focusing on personal relationships and uncomfortable social obligations. Comedy Central ranked Jerry Seinfeld as one of the twelve greatest stand-up comedians of all time in its four-part special The 100 Greatest Standups Of All Time.

Barack Hussein Obama II (
i/bəˈrɑːk huːˈseɪn oʊˈbɑːmə/; born August 4, 1961) is the 44th and current President of the United States. He is the first African American to hold the office. In January 2005, Obama was sworn in as a U.S. Senator in the state of Illinois. He would hold this office until November 2008, when he resigned following his victory in the 2008 presidential election.
Born in Honolulu, Hawaii, Obama is a graduate of Columbia University and Harvard Law School, where he was the president of the Harvard Law Review. He was a community organizer in Chicago before earning his law degree. He worked as a civil rights attorney in Chicago and taught constitutional law at the University of Chicago Law School from 1992 to 2004. He served three terms representing the 13th District in the Illinois Senate from 1997 to 2004.
Following an unsuccessful bid against the Democratic incumbent for a seat in the United States House of Representatives in 2000, Obama ran for the United States Senate in 2004. Several events brought him to national attention during the campaign, including his victory in the March 2004 Illinois Democratic primary for the Senate election and his keynote address at the Democratic National Convention in July 2004. He won election to the U.S. Senate in Illinois in November 2004. His presidential campaign began in February 2007, and after a close campaign in the 2008 Democratic Party presidential primaries against Hillary Rodham Clinton, he won his party's nomination. In the 2008 presidential election, he defeated Republican nominee John McCain, and was inaugurated as president on January 20, 2009. Nine months later, Obama was named the 2009 Nobel Peace Prize laureate. In April 2011, he announced that he would be running for re-election in 2012.

Finally, Holmes decides to hold a party, inviting the world's most distinguished detectives, hoping to flush Moriarty out of hiding. However, it does not go as planned.

COMEDIANS IN CARS GETTING COFFEE
President Barack Obama will be Jerry Seinfeld's first guest when the seventh season of his online talk show, "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee," opens Dec. 30.
The show features the New York comedian picking up fellow comics in classic cars and taking them out for coffee and conversation.
Obama and Seinfeld spoke at the White House earlier this month. The White House says they took turns circling the South Lawn in a 1963 Corvette Stingray split window coupe before chatting over coffee in a basement dining room. They spoke about what makes White House life both remarkable and routine.
The appearance is another example of Obama trying to appeal to new audiences.

President Barack Obama teared up Tuesday during an emotional speech on gun control at the White House.
Obama spoke to lay out the rationale behind his recently announced slate of executive actions on guns in an emotional speech, surrounded by gun control advocates and family members of victims of gun violence.
"Every time I think about those kids, it gets me mad. And by the way, it happens on the streets of Chicago every day," Obama said.
"We do have to feel a sense of urgency about it," Obama said.
He added: "Because people are dying and the constant excuses for inaction no longer suffice. That's why we're here today. Not to debate the last mass shooting, but to do something to try and prevent the next one."
The president laid out the specifics of his plan, explaining the newly clarified rules that narrow the types of individual "private" gun sellers that can sell guns without subjecting their buyers to a background checks, and noting that the FBI would hire 230 new agents to help process background checks.
"Anybody in the business of selling firearms must get a license ... or be subject to criminal prosecutions," Obama said. "It doesn't matter whether you're doing it over the Internet or a gun show."
Obama also slammed critics of his push for gun control measures.
The president said that states that loosening gun control restrictions, specifically Missouri, had according to some studies had seen an increased likelihood of gun violence.
Obama also blasted some Republican presidential candidates who have criticized the president's plan.
"Contrary to claims of some presidential candidates apparently before this meeting, this is not a plot to take away everybody's guns. You pass a background check, you can purchase a firearm."
"The gun lobby may be holding Congress hostage right now, but they cannot hold America hostage," Obama said.

After weeks of speculation surrounding the possibility of President Barack Obama issuing executive actions on the nation's dire need for a stronger focus on gun control, Obama revealed his plans to help reduce the prevalence of gun-related violence across the country. Ahead of the announcement, so-called gun rights activists immediately started to stir up controversy surrounding the possibility of stricter background checks for those wishing to purchase firearms. Obama, however, pushed forward with his initiative before ultimately revealing his plan during a White House press conference on Tuesday.
Mark Barden, the father of Sandy Hook victim Daniel Barden, introduced Obama and Vice President Joe Biden by reminding the nation that Obama previously "made a promise" that he would do "everything in his power" to keep the nation safe from preventable gun violence. "I still remember the first time we met," Obama said to Barden when taking the podium. "That changed me that day and my hope earnestly has been that it would change the country."

She died at the age of 22 on August 25, 1835, most likely of typhoid fever. In the early 1830s, he met Mary Owens from Kentucky when she was visiting her sister
Late in 1836, Lincoln agreed to a match with Mary if she returned to New Salem. Mary did return in November 1836, and Lincoln courted her for a time; however, they both had second thoughts about their relationship. On August 16, 1837, Lincoln wrote Mary a letter suggesting he would not blame her if she ended the relationship. She never replied and the courtship ended.
In 1840, Lincoln became engaged to Mary Todd, who was from a wealthy slave-holding family in Lexington, Kentucky. They met in Springfield, Illinois, in December 1839 and were engaged the following December. A wedding set for January 1, 1841, was canceled when the two broke off their engagement at Lincoln's initiative. They later met again at a party and married on November 4, 1842, in the Springfield mansion of Mary's married sister. While preparing for the nuptials and feeling anxiety again, Lincoln, when asked where he was going, replied, "To hell, I suppose."
In 1844, the couple bought a house in Springfield near Lincoln's law office. Mary Todd Lincoln kept house, often with the help of a relative or hired servant girl. Robert Todd Lincoln was born in 1843 and Edward Baker Lincoln (Eddie) in 1846. Lincoln "was remarkably fond of children", and the Lincolns were not considered to be strict with their children.
Edward died on February 1, 1850, in Springfield, probably of tuberculosis. "Willie" Lincoln was born on December 21, 1850, and died of a fever on February 20, 1862. The Lincolns' fourth son, Thomas "Tad" Lincoln, was born on April 4, 1853, and died of heart failure at the age of 18 on July 16, 1871. Robert was the only child to live to adulthood and have children. His last descendant, great-grandson Robert Todd Lincoln Beckwith, died in 1985.
The deaths of their sons had profound effects on both parents. Later in life, Mary struggled with the stresses of losing her husband and sons, and Robert Lincoln committed her temporarily to a mental health asylum in 1875. Abraham Lincoln suffered from "melancholy", a condition which now is referred to as clinical depression.
Lincoln's father-in-law and others of the Todd family were either slave owners or slave traders. Lincoln was close to the Todds, and he and his family occasionally visited the Todd estate in Lexington. He was an affectionate, though often absent, husband and father of four children.

It’s now more than 50 years since President Kennedy stood before the American people and said, “Let us never negotiate out of fear, but let us never fear to negotiate.” He was speaking then about the need for discussions between the United States and the Soviet Union, which led to efforts to restrict the spread of nuclear weapons.
In those days, the risk was a catastrophic nuclear war between two super powers. In our time, the risk is that nuclear weapons will spread to more and more countries, particularly in the Middle East, the most volatile region in our world.
Today, because America negotiated from a position of strength and principle, we have stopped the spread of nuclear weapons in this region. Because of this deal, the international community will be able to verify that the Islamic Republic of Iran will not develop a nuclear weapon.
This deal meets every single one of the bottom lines that we established when we achieved a framework earlier this spring. Every pathway to a nuclear weapon is cut off. And the inspection and transparency regime necessary to verify that objective will be put in place. He continued, “This isn’t a matter of political correctness. It’s a matter of understanding what makes us strong.” Obama talked up America’s tradition of diversity and agreed with Pope Francis that “to imitate the hatred and violence of tyrants and murderers is the best way to take their place.” And with just 12 months go to until he leaves office, it’s not clear whether Obama will be able to get rid of a facility he believes serves as an important recruiting tool to anti-American terror organizations around the world.
Closure is complicated. He can’t send all of the roughly 90 remaining prisoners back to their home countries because he doesn’t trust the security arrangements abroad. And federal law clearly bars him from bringing the terror suspects to the U.S., leaving his team of lawyers to contemplate whether his powers as commander-in-chief allow him to order the transfers anyway.

Instead, Obama called attention to a new crusade that Biden has dedicated himself to: a “moonshot” effort to find a cure for cancer. “He’s gone to the mat for all of us, on so many issues over the past 40 years,” Obama said. “I’m putting Joe in charge of mission control.”
“We're so close to so many breakthroughs in cancer,” he said. “This is one of those inflection points, but they are sort of stove pipes. There's a lot of brilliant people doing a lot of important stuff but not enough integration.” “I'm hoping … [to] be the convener of these folks and move things along more quickly, so instead of the breakthroughs occurring in 10 years or five years, I think we can change the face of cancer [within] the next five years.”

Instead, Obama called attention to a new crusade that Biden has dedicated himself to: a “moonshot” effort to find a cure for cancer. “He’s gone to the mat for all of us, on so many issues over the past 40 years,” Obama said. “I’m putting Joe in charge of mission control.”
“We're so close to so many breakthroughs in cancer,” he said. “This is one of those inflection points, but they are sort of stove pipes. There's a lot of brilliant people doing a lot of important stuff but not enough integration.” “I'm hoping … [to] be the convener of these folks and move things along more quickly, so instead of the breakthroughs occurring in 10 years or five years, I think we can change the face of cancer [within] the next five years.”
