The Apple II was one of the most successful computers in American Business history. It spawned a whole new series of software programs, as well as upgraded models that Apple created to improve on the Apple II. The IIGS was the most powerful and most capable computer in the Apple II line, featuring a 16-bit microprocessor, which allowed it to run Apple IIGS and Apple II software.
