Indiana i/ɪndiˈænə/ is a U.S. state located in the midwestern and Great Lakes regions of North America. Indiana is the 38th largest by area and the 16th most populous of the 50 United States. Its capital and largest city is Indianapolis. Indiana was admitted to the United States as the 19th U.S. state on December 11, 1816.
Before becoming a territory, varying cultures of indigenous peoples and historic Native Americans inhabited Indiana for thousands of years. Since its founding as a territory, settlement patterns in Indiana have reflected regional cultural segmentation present in the Eastern United States; the state's northernmost tier was settled primarily by people from New England and New York, Central Indiana by migrants from the Mid-Atlantic states and from adjacent Ohio, and Southern Indiana by settlers from the Southern states, particularly Kentucky and Tennessee.
Indiana has a diverse economy with a gross state product of $298 billion in 2012. Indiana has several metropolitan areas with populations greater than 100,000 and a number of smaller industrial cities and towns. Indiana is home to several major sports teams and athletic events including the NFL's Indianapolis Colts, the NASL's Indy Eleven, the NBA's Indiana Pacers, the WNBA's Indiana Fever, the Indianapolis 500, and Brickyard 400 motorsports races.
Keep America Beautiful is a U.S. based nonprofit organization founded in 1953. It is the largest community improvement organization in the United States, with approximately 589 affiliate organizations (similar to local chapters) and more than 1,000 community organizations that participate in their programs.
Keep America Beautiful focuses on three key issues: litter prevention, waste reduction/recycling and community greening & beautification. This is accomplished through a combination of community organizing, public education and the fostering of public/private partnerships.
Keep America Beautiful was founded in 1953 by a consortium of American businesses (including founding members Philip Morris, Anheuser-Busch, PepsiCo, and Coca-Cola), nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and concerned individuals in reaction to the growing problem of highway litter that followed the construction of the Interstate Highway System, and an increasingly mobile and convenience-oriented American consumer. The original goal of the organization was to reduce litter through public service advertising (PSA) campaigns.
Protesting Crown Point, Indiana Police department for suppression of the first amendment. I caught this law enforcement official not using a turn signal, Jay-walking and littering. If it were you or I, we would be fined, arrested, beaten or killed. But, since he has a gun and works for the government he is above the laws that only apply to us normal folk. Also, as an added bonus got a CPD officer not using turn signals.
This is some of Evansville, Indiana's local celebrities showing us what is just as wrong as littering!

Title: How to deal with our trash Topic: Recycling and litter with how it affects Nebraska Purpose: To persuade the people using facts to back up my statements Thesis: With the ever chaining in environment our ecosystem is hurting but with the recycling it will be able to help it. I. Introduction (45 seconds) A. Attention-getter: We throw a football, baseball, softball, and all sorts of things in the world and we don’t think about consequences there. Well if we keep throwing out trash away like we do we will have consequences that way because we are not properly taking care of stuff that can be recycled. Recycling is an key factor in the care of our world. We will discuss the importance of recycling, the role landfills play in recycling, and finally how this affects Nebraska. I...
Earth Day, the annual day of environmental action and awareness, was first held on April 22, 1970. This past April 22nd, we finally ventured into the woods behind our house and pulled 4 putrid truck tires/mosquito farms out of the mud, along with about 200 pounds of scrap metal, engine parts, and farm equipment. The place used to be a dairy farm, and I guess "out of sight" was "out of mind". If it were still the 70's, cleaning up the woods would have been "outta sight" in a whole different way. Here's a clip of The Crying Indian from the early 70's. OK, so Chief Iron Eyes Cody wasn't a real Native American after all. That didn't stop the ad campaign from having a tremendous effect back then. And it's no less relevant today. Here are some links to check out: http://en.wikipedia....

What is the Greek word for rock? Petra of course. What an amazing landscape..... just rock, rock and more rock, and mountains always mountains. Then there are the colours of cream, red and black streaked through the rock to signify their content. Every now and then there would be a touch of green of a lone tree or wild grasses which gave the wandering camels, goats and donkeys something to chew on. And at Petra itself, we walked and walked through the great Siq. At each turn you hoped that you had arrived. Finally our guide made us line up along one side of the gorge and slowly walked us through the opening. Not unlike Indiana Jones, we stepped out into the open and our jaws dropped when we saw one of the most famous ancient mega-structures in the world....the al-Khazneh (Treasury)!!

Re-Membering Our Prodigals Rev. Mike Lamson May 6, 2012 Thank you. Wow, what a warm welcome. It’s an amazing feeling to be up here and see this. When I was asked to give the sermon by our senior pastor, I realized as I thought about it that this will be the fifth sermon I’ve ever given in my life. Can you imagine? I’ve always been the kind of person who looks for the talents that people have, and I want to support other people in bringing out those talents. So it was quite a shock for me when I realized I’m going to be the one up at this podium this time. Good morning and welcome to Lovin’Life Ministries at the beautiful Manhattan Center in New York City. I must say that things look a lot different from up here. I think all of you should try this sometime. I want to thank everyone from...
