Magdeburg is the capital city of the Bundesland of Saxony-Anhalt, Germany, it is situated on the River Elbe and was one of the most important medieval cities of Europe. Nowadays Magdeburg is a traffic junction as well as an industrial and trading centre. The production of chemical products, steel, paper and textiles are of particular economic significance, along with mechanical engineering and plant engineering, ecotechnology and life-cycle management, health management and logistics. To read more about Magdeburg, click here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Magdeburg .
The film is taken at varying locations in and around the city centre. Identified locations and features within the film are as follows: Hasselbachstraße; Otto-von-Guericke-Straße; Leiterstraße; Faunenbrunnen; Green Citadel; Breiter Weg; Justizzentrum in the Old Post Office building; 'Rape of the Sabine Women' statues by Bernd Göbel; Saint Sebastian Cathedral; Max-Josef-Metzger-Straße; Lothar-Kreyssig-Straße; Cathedral of Saints Catherine and Maurice; Domplatz; Regierungsstraße; Kreuzgangstraße; Kloster Unser Lieben Frauen / Monastery of Our Lady; Ernst-Reuter-Allee; Bei der Hauptwache; Johaniskirche; Schleinufer; Fahnenmonument; River Elbe; Jerusalembrücken; Zollelbe; Zollbrücke; Jahrtausendturm; Brücke des Friedens; Alte Elbe; Herrenkrugstraße; Elbauenpark Natur und Kulturpark; Angersee; Magdeburg Hauptbahnhof / Main Railway Station; and finally the view I had from the InterCity Hotel at 03:00 on the 6th December, 2014 of a large fire somewhere near Maybachstraße (probably a building or vehicle). I would be interested to know what the fire was, if anyone watching this knows.

Frothy German beer, festive brass bands and dachsund races — what's not to love about Oktoberfest? California travel expert Veronica Hill of http://www.CaliforniaTravelExpert.com tours the Old World Oktoberfest in this episode of "California Travel Tips."
The history of Oktoberfest dates back to 1810 in Munich, Bavaria, when King Ludwig the First married Princess Therese of Saxony-Hildburghausen. Today the Munich Oktoberfest draws more than 6 million people a year.
Old World Huntington Beach offers an authentic German Oktoberfest in California.
This charming village, built in 1978, mimics a real Bavarian town with cobblestone streets, beautiful murals, European markets, and plenty of authentic German food. You can even go downstairs into a German-style Rathskeller and enjoy real German beers such as Spaten, Bitburger or Warsteiner.
Though its open year round, Old World really comes alive during Oktoberfest, held annually in September and October.
You cant help but get caught up in the fun as party goers dance to Oktoberfest music and Oktoberfest girls pass out delightful liqueurs from the Old Country.
My favorite part? The dachsund races, featuring the fastest wiener dogs in the Southland, and the old-fashioned contortionist show featuring two 70-year-old sisters straight from Germany.
Following the show, stroll through the village where you can shop for handmade garden gnomes, try on some Oktoberfest costumes or shop at an authentic German market.
At Old World German Restaurant & Bakery, you can fuel up on Oktoberfest food like German potato salad, sauerkraut and bratwurst served with their soft German Farmers Rye.
Just dont leave without trying one of their delicious Berliners, a soft and chewy donut stuffed with cherry filling. Theyre absolutely incredible!

Travel video about destination Wachau in Austria.
Our journey across Wachau begins in Stein, a town district of Krems, one of the oldest cultivated landscapes in Austria.
The sole 'Gateway Into the Wachau' is a unique region of the Danube between Krems-Stein and Melk. A total of 113 houses encapsulate the medieval city that was built along the Steiner Road on the banks of the Danube. Today, the town's facades and entrance-ways are decorated in traditional style and compliment the impressive Renaissance splendor of the buildings.
A little further on, and the river valley narrows and becomes even more beautiful. The blue-white church tower of Durnstein proudly welcomes those who visit the town. It is a landmark of the Wachau. This small medieval town nestles picturesquely along the rock walls above the Danube and it lives and breathes the history that made it world famous.
The beauty of the landscape is overwhelming. Color dominates the soft hollows between the rocky slopes that flank the Danube Valley and the shining green of the summer months leads to a spectacle of color that leads up to the wine harvest, a true spectacle of nature!
Thirty-six kilometres off the Danube Valley with magnificent cities, castles and historic ruins, lies a Baroque monastery and an old vine-growing culture. The Wachau is a priceless gem that is situated alongside the far-stretching waters of the Danube.
