He married Laura Welch in 1977 and ran unsuccessfully for the House of Representatives shortly thereafter. He later co-owned the Texas Rangers baseball team before defeating Ann Richards in the 1994 Texas gubernatorial election. In a close and controversial election, Bush was elected President in 2000 as the Republican candidate, defeating Vice President Al Gore in the Electoral College. Bush is the second American president to have been the son of a former president. He is also the brother of Jeb Bush, former Governor of Florida.
Terrorist attacks occurred eight months into Bush's first term as president on September 11, 2001. In response, Bush announced the War on Terror, an international military campaign which included the war in Afghanistan launched in 2001 and the war in Iraq launched in 2003. In addition to national security issues, Bush promoted policies on the economy, health care, education, and social security reform. He signed into law broad tax cuts, the PATRIOT Act, the No Child Left Behind Act, the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act, and Medicare prescription drug benefits for seniors. His tenure saw national debates on immigration, Social Security, electronic surveillance, and enhanced interrogation techniques. His administration also withdrew the U.S. from a some international treaty processes, including the Kyoto Protocol on global warming.
William Jefferson "Bill" Clinton (born William Jefferson Blythe III; August 19, 1946) is an American politician who served as the 42nd President of the United States from 1993 to 2001. Inaugurated at age 46, he was the third-youngest president. He took office at the end of the Cold War, and was the first president of the baby boomer generation. Clinton has been described as a New Democrat. Many of his policies have been attributed to a centrist Third Way philosophy of governance.
Born and raised in Arkansas, Clinton became both a student leader and a skilled musician. He is an alumnus of Georgetown University where he was Phi Beta Kappa and earned a Rhodes Scholarship to attend the University of Oxford. He is married to Hillary Rodham Clinton, who has served as the United States Secretary of State since 2009 and was a Senator from New York from 2001 to 2009. John William "Will" Ferrell (/ˈfɛrəl/; born July 16, 1967) is an American comedian, impressionist, actor, and writer. Ferrell first established himself in the mid 1990s as a cast member on the NBC sketch comedy show Saturday Night Live, and has subsequently starred in the comedy films Old School, Elf, Anchorman, Talladega Nights, Stranger than Fiction, Blades of Glory, Semi-Pro, and The Other Guys. He is considered a member of the "Frat Pack", a generation of leading Hollywood comic actors who emerged in the late 1990s and the 2000s, including Jack Black, Ben Stiller, Steve Carell, Vince Vaughn, and brothers Owen and Luke Wilson.
Ferrell was born in Irvine, California, the son of Betty Kay (née Overman), a teacher who taught at Old Mill School elementary school and Santa Ana College, and Roy Lee Ferrell, Jr., a musician with The Righteous Brothers. His parents were both natives of Roanoke Rapids, North Carolina, and moved to California in 1964; Ferrell has Irish ancestry. Ferrell has a younger brother, Patrick. When he was 8, his parents divorced. Ferrell said of the divorce, "I was the type of kid who would say, 'Hey Look at the bright side! We'll have two Christmases.'" The divorce was amicable and both parents were committed to their children. The biggest problem was Lee's line of work. As a person in show business, his paychecks were never steady and he was gone from home months at a time. Growing up in the environment made Ferrell not want to go into show business, but get a steady job.

What if the role of a lifetime became the love of your life?
Dan Butler: [to image of Karl Rove] You have the most beautiful eyes. Has anyone ever told you that before? I wish I had those eyes. They have vision. When they look, they see the future. When I look, all I see is you.
Dan Butler: I think you should get someone like Philip Seymour Hoffman to do something like this. I mean this is a great supporting actor and people know who he is. And that's who you should get for this.::Phil Leirness: Yeah, but, I mean, you know, frankly he's a little too well known. It sort of defeats the purpose. You know, I mean he's starting to play lead roles. You're more of, you know ...::Dan Butler: I'm more of a known unknown.
Dan Butler: [to Phil Leirness] Oh, great, Phil. Hey, this is the beginning of the end of my life and you've got it on film. Congratulations.
John Hoffman: What's going to be a success?::Dan Butler: I star in a one man show about Karl Rove, written with Julia, produced and directed by you. It's an immediate success, HBO options it, it's shown repeatedly leading up to the election, it appalls the electorate and ensures a Kerry victory in November. That's going to be a success!
Dan Butler: He runs a presidential campaign on moral issues and he has no morality. He does anything to win. He lies. He smears, he ... I mean what he did to John McCain in South Carolina. No, no, no, wait ... He has no moral boundaries.
Cameron Thor: You can't play Iago if you're going to judge him. You can't play Karl Rove if you're going to judge him. No villain looks at themselves as a villain. All of his actions have to be completely justified. You have to see the world through his eyes.
John Hoffman: Wait. Wait! This is the show. This is the show! I know you're traumatized, Julia, but, you know, whenever a lesbian has misgivings, I know we've hit pay dirt. This is the show. You're in love with him. It's a love story! Don't think. Go! Go!::Dan Butler: Uh ... Uh ... Uh ...Well ... I think Karl and I are the Hepburn and ... the Tracy and Hepburn of the beltway.
Julia Miranda: [to Johnny Puerta] Could you ... Could you ... Could you stand out here, please. Out in front where I can see you? I really don't like people standing behind me, especially when they're you.
Kira Tirimacco: Dan, look. I'm an actress. That was not acting the other night. That was somebody who had lost a grip.::Dan Butler: Oh, you're an actress? Isn't there an expiration date on that? When was your last acting job, Kira?
Dan Butler: I don't know what to say. I just don't want to be Dan Butler any more.
