Blazing forward: a rescued Wedge-tailed eagle learns to fly

Exclusive. Stills & video.Wedge tail Eagle learning to fly.Meet blaze the two year old wedge tailed Eagle that has never flown. Blaze was believed to have been kept illegally and was brought to feathered friends in Sydney for captive rehabilitation as apart of the Hawkers Project. Ravi & the team at feathered friends are building a relationship based on trust and care with Blaze so he can undergo physio and exercise to improve muscle strength and develop the ability for flight. In the wild blaze would have been the apex bird predator however without the ability to fly he would have certainly perished. The team at feathered friends hope to rehabilitate blaze with the ultimate aim to restore his gift of flight and join the Feathered Friends Hawkers conservation Project.Contact details are Ravi on 0423 414973.
