A Hobart man whose pregnant wife was killed in a car crash on Friday has thanked the community for their "overwhelming generosity and support".
Daniel Stirling's wife, Sarah Paino, 24, was killed when a SUV slammed into her car, but doctors were able to deliver her 32-week-term baby.

Unborn child survives crash
The unborn child's 24-year-old mother was killed in a head-on car crash in Hobart but was later delivered at the Royal Hobart Hospital.
The baby, who Mr Stirling has named Caleb, is in the Royal Hobart Hospital's intensive care unit in a stable condition.
A crowdfunding page for Mr Stirling, the couple's two-year-old son and Caleb has now raised about $180,000.
"Every donation has reminded us that we are not alone in our grief and contributed towards securing a future for both of our sons," Mr Stirling said. "Words cannot express how much this means to us."
The 24-year-old also thanked staff at the Royal Hobart Hospital for their compassion, as well as the community for respecting the family's privacy during a challenging time.
"This is a time of conflicting emotions for us as we grieve the loss of Sarah, while also welcoming baby Caleb to our family," he said.
Their two-year-old child was also in the car at the time of the crash and was treated for minor injuries.
